Overall Review: I bought this to replace an aging mx570. I know that refurbs may not last as long as a brand new component, but my original mx is still going strong. This isn't a dead switch or something easily replaceable either, some part of the logic is busted. Blinking green of death. Six months is NOT worth the effort. This burns me up quite a bit. I do not know whether logitech or the refurbisher is to blame, but I am not amused.
Pros: The disk is inexpensive, and it works.
Cons: There are no cons.
Pros: - Acts as an msata to pci adapter, AND as an additional sata port
- Able to boot from bios (if supported by bios or uefi)
- Does not need power or data cable
Cons: I have not had the card for long, but there are no issues so far.
Overall Review: This allowed me to easily add an mSATA drive to a system that did not have any additional sata ports (data or power) available.
Pros: Mounts to the drive with included screws
Pros: Beautifully minimalist, compact, quiet, very well designed.
Cons: Motherboard tray relief extends TOWARD the motherboard, creating cpu-backplate-fitment issues.
Considering that there isn't anything under the tray, I don't see why Fractal opted to push the relief UP into an already crowded area, instead of DOWN into open-space.
Overall Review: Existing fan configuration is good for filtration, but should be re-arranged for better airflow characteristics (one in, one out)
Pros: This thing is huge. Heat dissipation is easy for this cooler, and the fan is only audible when at 100%. <-- which never happens
Cons: This thing is huge, but that's what makes it so effective.
Pros: -works as expected
-easy to update bios
-didn't need driver/utility disk at all
-packaged utilities actually work
Cons: -only one pwm fan header (CPU)
-only two total fan headers on the motherboard.
Overall Review: -included utilities are functional, but really cheesy ui
-jumpers to overclock at bios level? it isn't a con, but it certainly isn't a pro.
Pros: it works
Cons: none. ever.
Overall Review: I've never had compatibility issues with GSkill products
-simple and attractive
-includes super quiet fans
-lots of room
Cons: -could and should have been 80mm fans
-could be more tool-free
-PSU accomodations (see other thoughts)
Overall Review: The power supply part of the design is my only real beef with this case.
-case comes with TFX PSU, when ATX would provide more clearance to optical drive, and exhaust fan
-PSU vent is poorly located with respect to atx PSU, IF top-flow is the consideration.
-case should have been designed (vent and mount pattern) for PSU to draw air from the bottom of the case.
Pros: -low noise
-extension, fan-speed adapters, mounting accessories included,
-super secure mount, does not require access to backside of moboard while securing
Overall Review: This thing is really well designed, and really easy to mount.
I have this on a 65W core2 duo E6600 (low power demand, I know) and could almost run it passively using this cooler.
Pros: low noise, inexpensive
Cons: audible pwm ticking, no included accessories, only 50,000 mttf
Overall Review: This fan was used in a pc that stays on 24/7, so it's life span seemed short. I have since switched to a fan costs twice as much, but has three times the life expectancy, includes low noise adapters and mounting options, and does NOT have the PWM ticking. Much more for the money.
Pros: no tools required, from box to assembled in minutes, easy access rear panels for wire management, great wire management options, decent quality furniture
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: it took me far longer to load and configure components and wiring than to put it together, and it seems a solid piece thus far. sheet metal shelf surface seem thin, but looks great
