It works - new 20-pin MB connector
Pros: It works. No problems so far. I was concerned about the 20-pin MB adapter that others have mentioned/complained about. I was happy to see that the version that I received did not have this adapter, but was a direct 20-pin connector of reasonable size. Good for me, but those expecting two USB male connectors should be aware.
Cons: The USB cables are a bit too thick for my liking as they do not bend easily for good cable management. The graphics on the front panel are ugly, but not offensively so.
Overall Review: It takes a couple of seconds before an inserted card is recognized by the system, but it really isn't all that bad. Transfer rates are blazing and just what I had hoped for.
One out of two worked
Pros: Clever solution when mounting SSD's into hot-swap bays. One of the units that I bought worked just as advertised with no fuss and worked first time.
Cons: The 2nd unit would not close and connect the SSD to the internal plugs after many, many attempts. It appears that the PCB to which the plugs is connected will warp out of position rather than mate with the SSD sockets. Appears to be a mis-alignment (of less than a millimeter) that prevents a successful docking.
Overall Review: Overall, this was disappointing as I can see the potential and was looking forward to using both cases.
It works - no dramas
Pros: WPS setup makes this brain dead simple to install and works with any wifi security setup. Signal propagation delay is low so devices connected to this unit appear very responsive. While I wouldn't recommend it for games requiring very low ping times, it is mare than adequate for anything else.
Cons: none, so far
Overall Review: I have only owned this unit for a day, so I cannot speak to its reliability. But, I am very impressed by its design and ease of setup.
The perfect small TV
Pros: I bought this TV (along with a wall-mount VESA bracket) for my wife's studio. For such an inexpensive unit, it has a lot of nifty features. Picture looks great, and the sound is clear. I bought this instead of a similar Samsung unit as I now have several LG products (washer, dryer, etc.) and I am impressed by their quality.
Cons: The VESA mounting holes are too close to the DC power input making it difficult to wall-mount the TV. I had to use the stand-offs provided with the bracket, otherwise it would have been impossible to plug the power in. Not worth knocking off an egg, but something to be aware of.
Overall Review: After a screw-up with my original order (mostly MY fault) involving next-day shipment charges, Newegg Customer Service helped to cancel the order so that I could start over. Both the bracket and TV were shipped to me nex-day air, even though I specified the FREE shipping option the 2nd time around. I LOVE Newegg!!
Solid and Professional
Pros: Extremely well-built and comes with all the parts needed for various installation options. Instructions are clear and concise. It's hard to get too excited about a mounting bracket, but I am impressed with the overall quality of this product.
Cons: Costs more than other similar brackets, but the quality makes it worth it for me.
Overall Review: I originally ordered this with a TV and paid extra for overnight shipping so it would arrive in time for my contractor to install it. I didn't realize the bracket came from a 3rd party vendor and that it would ship 5-7 days. I called Newegg and even though they said they probably could not fix it, the bracket ended up arriving next-day air! The Newegg elves have scored again! I LOVE Newegg.
Excellent... and cheap
Pros: Easy setup, and pain-free. This little adapter has worked with no drops for the time that I have had it. Excellent throughput. I have gotten 20 Mbps over my internet connection (which is rated at 20Mbps).
Cons: None, so far. Doesn't come with a stand, but it fits in the stand of the Netgear WNA 3100 (see below) that it replaces.
Overall Review: I replaced a Netgear WNA3100 with this device. The Netgear would drop the connection every few hours and I never got more than 3.8 Mbps when it did work. The TP-Link is hands-down superior.
