Most Favorable Review

Solid set of speakers, great build quality. Crisp highs and mids, almost too much bass

Logitech Certified Refurbished Z623 | 980-000402 200 Watts 2.1 Home Speaker System
Logitech Certified Refurbished Z623 | 980-000402 200 Watts 2.1 Home Speaker System

Pros: Crisp sound Great build quality, the speakers aren't made from wood, but the plastic does not feel flimsy Plenty of bass, room shaking bass Bass knob is a nice touch and easy access on the speaker Headphone and aux jacks on side of speaker

Cons: Almost too much bass, with volume halfway my room shakes. Depends on the mood, isn't always a bad thing to have some great bass now and then. Wish there was a treble knob on the speaker in addition to the bass knob.

Overall Review: I would definitely recommend it, while I enjoy my music, I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile. The THX certification is a reassuring bit. I wish there was a Logitech equalizer app for Windows, but there are plenty of free opensource equalizer apps online to fill the gap.

BOTH Replacement & 2nd out of 3 drives to be DOA

WD Red Plus 4TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch - WD40EFRX
WD Red Plus 4TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch - WD40EFRX

Pros: None, there might be some but I never experienced any since the drive was DOA

Cons: Originally ordered 2 4tb WD Red Drives, received them, installed, and one of those was DOA! Contacted NewEgg and they issued an advance RMA for me, and were very nice during this stressful process. Received the replacement drive...and guess what?... the replacement drive is DOA as well!!!!!! Returned that drive and the other ones, ended up buying another brand from a local store, and am currently awaiting $$$ credit back to me from NewEgg.

Overall Review: I contacted WD directly too, and I wanted to know what kind of replacement drive I was going to get. They were going to send me a refurbished/recertified drive?!!! Why would I accept a refurb drive when I paid for a new one just a few days prior?! WD RMA service is just a joke, and I would almost say a ripoff! Put out a quality product, test these batches again and see how many bad drives are out there/

My 2nd RMA of a drive since Sept 2012

Western Digital Black WD2002FAEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Black WD2002FAEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: SATA III 64MB buffer low seek times Most important--> 5 year warranty (thank goodness for this, see below)

Cons: Now I had to buy two of these drives at M-Center because they had unbeatable prices, and NewEgg couldn't come close to that, and I was able to get them in my hands right there. I am weary of shipping drives too much due to impact and damage that can result in all of the transportation. I bought two drives on Sept 17th 2012, one of them went bad (SMART status failure) on Oct 20th. RMA'd it. The replacement drive went bad again on 12/21/2012 (CRC error, data transfer rates below 100kb/s). I am in the RMA process as I post this review. I am a photographer and everything I have is RAID'ed and backed up. BUT the headache and annoyance of having WD's top of line drive go out so often in such a short time is beyond me, just shocked :/ For those users that don't RAID or backup often, I can't imagine the trouble and potential data loss.

Overall Review: Again, WD USED to be associated with quality products, but lately and after this experience I am worried about the long term effects :( I know these hd manufacturers have to make up for the floods in Asia, but please do not sacrifice quality control for pushing out more drives and making some more $$$

Affordable card reader, but with issues

Rosewill RCR-IC001 - 3.5" Internal 40-in-1 Card Reader with USB 2.0 Port & Extra Silver Face Plate
Rosewill RCR-IC001 - 3.5" Internal 40-in-1 Card Reader with USB 2.0 Port & Extra Silver Face Plate

Pros: Cheap Two faceplates USB port, led activity lights

Cons: Card reader did not physically fit in my 3.5" drive bay Tried two other 3.5" floppy disk drives I had and they were fine, looked at the card reader and it appears that a corner of the reader was slightly higher than the rest, resulting in the issue. After about a week of use, the card reader randomly fails to acknowledge a card being inserted in the slot. Have to restart my computer once or twice before it sees the card again.

Overall Review: I understand that this is sub $15 card reader, but I didn't realize that it would have so many issues and so quickly after purchase.

Decent deal, but be prepared to compromise

Famous Brand 25" 60 Hz Active Matrix, TFT LCD LCD Monitor 5ms (on-off), 3ms (Gray to Gray) D-Sub, DVI, HDMI TSS-25B9
Famous Brand 25" 60 Hz Active Matrix, TFT LCD LCD Monitor 5ms (on-off), 3ms (Gray to Gray) D-Sub, DVI, HDMI TSS-25B9

Pros: -Cheap -HDMI, DVI connectors. -Sleek finish (glossy) -It is an HP monitor underneath it all

Cons: -Screen is glossy, reflections visible -My monitor did not stand perfectly horizontal, no way to adjust. -Had this as part of a dual monitor setup, next to my DELL 2408WFP, and this was much much inferior. The screen is VERY harsh on the eyes, it hurts to look at the monitor for anything over an hour IMO. -Stand does not have a big footprint, and the monitor wobbles easily. -Colors on the screen were washed out, or they were very harsh. -The refresh rate is too slow, hence when doing video editing, watching fast paced movies, or gaming, the pixels do not refresh in time and the picture is compromised.

Overall Review: I wish this was a 16:10 ratio, and a 1920x1200 resolution. If this was the case, then I might not return it and learn to live with it.
