Pros: I got it on super sale. It's worth more than I paid for it. I read up extensively on this board and was a bit hesitant, but I've been quite pleased with this purchase! It's a quality filled board with good features. I've not overclocked the cpu, as that comes after watercooling, but I've got the ram running happily at 18667. I haven't tried to push it faster.

Cons: BIOS is a little rough around the edges; not the smoothest experience. My impression is that many of the problems with the BIOS have been fixed, but there are a few lingering ones. Research to see if it's riskier for a feature that you consider critical.

Overall Review: I'm an old computer guy and built and bought many systems and no longer have the time for finicky hardware, nor stuff that doesn't work. So the purchase felt a little risky for me and it isn't the top board in the x79 line. But I don't regret buying it at all. This board was better than I expected and it has worked great for me. I would probably feel a little less excited about my purchase if I paid full price, but who doesn't like a good deal?
