The case that caught my eye.

SilverStone RAVEN RV01-BW Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
SilverStone RAVEN RV01-BW Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Sexy looks (IMHO). It really fits the character of my new PC build. With an EVGA classified 760 board, lots of red/black components. Corsair Dominator GT pc12800 6gb, SLI 480GTX Evga SC's, and the Megahalem rev B cooler. The build quality is about an 8/10 I used to own a Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 which i thought was a bit nicer yet not as well designed over all. The cooling design for this case is great, 90 degree mb mounting to exhaust heat where it wants to go... UP! It looks nicer mounted this way too. Cable management, imho is good. As some others say its not great. But it reminds me a lot of the cosmos 1000 case, and allows many places to route cables on the backside. In fact, my new computer build has the cables routed better then any case i've worked with before.

Cons: a few things i was upset with...but not serious at all to degrade a star. *front panel was a bit gritty and needed a little lube to get to operate smoothly. (used high speed gear lube to fix this) *The back of the case is super tight with a Evga 760 classified board, and leaves little room to use the fan headers... or the control panel for that matter!!! but good thing is that the 760 board has a cmos reset button on the back panel as well!!! so no worries. TAKE your time planning out the wiring when using this case, its a little different, and some cables may not be easily routed. I had no problem, but took more time and planning. *the side panels didn't pop in very easily, to the point i had to use a flat tip screw driver to bend the internal tabs ever so slightly to allow them to lock in position properly. :( *Its a very very big case (bigger then the cosmos 1000) and its not as easy to pick up and move. as it has some uncomfortable handles that dig into your hands.

Overall Review: I bought two, and build two identical machines. Love this case, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a top secret jet plane looking computer. Kind of like a stealth bomber? Classified.

Most Critical Review

DA850 - questionable

SilverStone DECATHLON DA850 850 W ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
SilverStone DECATHLON DA850 850 W ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Build quality appeared to be good, and the wires are long and useable in my Cosmos Coolermaster case.

Cons: Concerned about the PCI-E cables sharing two plugs on one cable... and actually fried one of the plugs on the power supply end, caused Sentinel errors for powering my two MSI 8800gtx HD OC's. RMA'ed, said there is a new revision 3.0 that is supposed to be better, we shall see. Mine was rev 2.5.

Overall Review: Next time I will go with another brand for sure. I'm not happy with this power supply.

upgrade!!!

EVGA 03G-P4-3887-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Classified 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support K|NGP|N Reference Edition Video Card
EVGA 03G-P4-3887-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Classified 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support K|NGP|N Reference Edition Video Card

Pros: I was sick and tired of SLI issues with Nvidia. I've almost always been unhappy with one card and thought.... well a second should help? right? no, it just increased frame rates at the cost of unsightly stutters. I had two MSI 770GTX video cards running in SLI and was very unhappy with the results. Some games worked "OK" and in fact most games looked better when I used just ONE of those cards to power the graphics. I'm no longer going to consider SLI until....maybe gsync will fix the problems. for now, I chose to get this 780Ti which was an amazing upgrade in my opinion. It runs everything very smoothly...albeit sometimes the 770SLI looks better on paper with higher frame rates in "some" games...the overall experience was unacceptable with the horrendous frame drops and stutters in most games. This 780Ti "GK110" is pair with a dedicated 750Ti "GK107" evga. Now i'm happy.

Cons: I want an Asus Swift 27" Gysnc monitor to complete the awesomeness. my dell U2711 is beautiful but doesn't give the smoothness and zero lag desired for gaming.

well... i don't know.

SteelSeries SX Medium Mouse Pad
SteelSeries SX Medium Mouse Pad

Pros: Feels very smooth to the touch. Quality of product seems very high.

Cons: Doesnt' track very well with later laser mice. It may be good for optical mice, but not sure on this. I have a Naos 5000 mouse 5040dpi, and use it around 1080dpi on the desktop, and it also has a SQAT (surface quality analyzer test) of the mousing surface. I have a Razer Exact Mat, Razer Destructor Mat, Mionix 320 matt, and also this Steel Series SX mat.... Both Razer matts do well, except the Razer Exact mat still has some tracking issues because it is BLACK! Black mats are proven to have issues with several laser style mice (used to have a rat7 mouse) The Destructor is an amazing quality and tracking mat! Squat test shows on the high end of good The Mionix 320 matt is uhm...garbage. Sqat test shows "acceptable" And the Steel Series SX mat is good, but has skipping issues with fast movements. Its very noisy as well!!! I would expect less noise being as smooth as it is. The destructor is nearly silent and even glides better!!! The SQAT test shows it on the low end of good

Overall Review: For the price... I sent it in for an RMA. not worth it at all! Stick with the destructor mat!!!! seriously! I usually like Steel Series products too! I understand its not even compatible with their Ikari laser mouse either!?! hmmm maybe this pad would be good at about 20 bucks. I'd rather shell out 35 on a destructor.

Impressive to say the least.

Mionix NAOS 5000 7 Buttons USB Laser 5040 dpi Mouse
Mionix NAOS 5000 7 Buttons USB Laser 5040 dpi Mouse

Pros: I've owned many Razer Mice, several microsoft mice and even my good old trusty Logitech MX518. This mouse is just awesome! It tracks very well, and is fully adjustable. Even has lift height adjustments and surface analyzing tests. A perfect mouse. Finally!!! Comfort is amazing as well. I love the fact you can change the LED color to almost any color!

Cons: All i can say is... I wish it had a Sniper Button like the Rat7. :) oh...by the way, i owned a Rat7 and hated it due to tracking issues. It was a terrible mouse. Kinda comfy sorta. But nothing like my Mionix Naos 5000!

Overall Review: Hoping a new version comes out with a Sniper button. Would be cool if the center of the mouse was something snazzy like carbon fiber. :)

Impressive to say the least.

Scythe S-Flex SFF21G Case cooler
Scythe S-Flex SFF21G Case cooler

Pros: Good quality fans, will outlast your computer.

Cons: A bit noisy in comparison to the F model! And the airflow isn't much better! soooooo, get the F model and save your ear drums. seriously. Only consider the G model if your deaf or don't care about noise at all.

Overall Review: get the SFF21F instead....
