Pros: HUGE. Air flow in this case is amazing. And quiet. I had to keep checking the fans to make sure they were running initially because it was so quiet. The mounting racks for the hard drives and external drives are a snap to use, literally. I would buy this case again if available for my next build.
Cons: only con is I wish I had bought the black version.
Biostar geforce 6800xt-uggghhh.
Pros: Technically, a lot of bang for the buck. Looks great on paper. Once you install build 91+ drivers from Nvidia, the card cruises like a bat out of you know where, but the drivers that came with the card are next to useless.
Cons: Doesn't deliver the promise of it's potential.Runs HOT-89 C at idle, 109 C under load (Aquamark 3D, Battlefront, Doom3, Madden 06). Definitely requires a hefty power supply, the 300W supply in my son's case kept shutting down under load-swapped out my own 600W from my pc and it was fine, but now I need a new ps for mine since I have two of these cards-one for myself and one for my son's pc.
Overall Review: I recommend aftermarket cooling options for this card-it rocks if you can keep it cool. I've got 7 fans in our full tower cases, and this card still runs hot. A little disappointed that the 512 mb of memory made little difference in performance, my almost 2 year old first generation 6800 GT w/256mb still out performs this card, but still has the same heat issues (actually it runs a LOT hotter than this version, so I'm not all that disappointed in the new card). If I had to do this again, I'd buy an ATI card-lower power requirements, less heat, par performance with the 6800, but I've been a loyal nvidia fan that it's hard to switch sometimes :-)
wow, very pleased
Pros: very sharp, excellent color, no flash backlighting that others unfortunately have had problems with. Bought this as replacement for my old dell 30 inch that died recently, and couldn't be happier.
Cons: no dvi input, running on vga input limits rez to 1360x768, but fortunately, I have a dvi to hdmi cable that allows full rez at 1920x1080.
Overall Review: I'm actually looking to buy another for my son's pc, lol.
Best CPU cooler. Period.
Pros: Surprisingly easy to install, even if I had to disassemble the mobo from the case first to mount the underboard rack for it. Extremely quiet, the fans for the radiator assembly were barely audible, and the only way I could tell it was working was to watch coretemp showing me the cpu temps on my core i-7. Before temps with stock heatsink/fan: 40c idle, 55c most apps, up to 94c with Shogun 2 running on max settings. After temps with water2.0: 26c idle, 32c most apps, 41c with shogun 2 running maxxed. yeah, I'm a believer.
Cons: Only con was I couldn't find a place to mount the radiator assembly in the cavernous Rosewill Thor case I have, due to the short radiator hoses. Ended up placing the fan/radiator assembly against an open vent area in the back with air flow out and duct taping it into place, LOL.
Overall Review: They could charge twice as much for this unit, and it would be worth it.
adding second review to earlier post
Pros: now that the arctic silver 5 has had time to set... idling at 18c load 36c with E8400@3GHz idling at 22c load 45c with E8400@3.6GHz idling at 28c load 54c with E8400@4.0 GHz tried 4.2GHz but pc won't boot at 4.2 for some reason.
Cons: none now.
Overall Review: Gonna order another for my son's PC-same config as mine E8400 3.0 GHz Asus P5Q** motherboard GeForce 275 8GB ram running on Windows 7 RC and loving it...
