Great overclocker! Good price.
Pros: Great Cooling on I7 920! Back plate holds this fan securely to MB. Fits well on an EVGA x58.
Cons: Does not fit in Cosmos S with large case side fan. I removed the case fan and all is well. No real difference in CPU/video card temps (2C).
Overall Review: My first install attempt I did not tighten this down enough because I was worried about cracking the MB. After my first blistering test run (pegged 100C at stock), I shut down, reinstalled, and tightened as it should be and it idles in the 20's (C) stock. I may lap the CPU soon to see if I can get the temps even lower (worked great on my previous 9770). I7 920 Overclocked 3.2GHz (200x16x), EVGA x58. Idles 30-32C, 48C max on CPU after 1 hour playing Crysis at Very High 1920x1200. 51C max during Adobe Media Encoding. 57M after 3DVantage run. Great performance! Easily overclocked to 4.2GHz (200x20x) and ran stable for the 5 hours I kept it there. 50C idle and 70-75 load a bit warm for my tastes, though. I'll try again after lapping. Overall, an awesome cooler for overclocking!
Pros: Awesome speed on SATA 3G or 6G.
Cons: I am on my second RMA to Crucial. I originally bought two drives from Egg. 1st one in laptop is still working great. 2nd one in deskop failed after about 40 days. BIOS stopped recognizing the drive. RMA'd to Crucial (painless, quick). RMA drive lasted about another 3-4 weeks and had same problem. All drives had firmware 001. I am now in RMA process on this drive - 3rd time's the charm I hope! 1st drive in laptop successfully updated to firmware 002 and is still trucking along.
Overall Review: When the drive works it flies! But this is a lot of money to pay for the headaches I've had. Firmware update from Crucial works now without bricking the drive. There is some BIOS fumbling to get the FW update to work, but Crucial website spells it all out. If you get a drive with FW 001, upgrade immediately because upgrading later wipes all data from the drive. If my 3rd desktop drive fails, I will update.
Pros: Effective, looks great, fairly quiet, covers 6 sticks of Hyper X memory with no problems.
Cons: Barely fits in EVGA Classified 759 board due to the NB cooler - but it does fit. I water cool my CPU, so I'm not sure how well a big air cooler would work next to this.
Overall Review: Overall I'm very pleased with this setup. I had no problems attaching the cooler - setup took 5 min. There are no instructions included, but they can be found in the product description on the manufacturer's website. Not really needed though.
