Best Router I've Used.

Pros: I’ve been testing routers, modems, and switches for Newegg for the last year (one of their favorite things to send out for reviews). I have to say that I am blown away by this router. This is easily the BEST router I have ever used. Overall this router is built beautifully and feels like it will last quite some time. It has the latest wireless revisions and supports maximum connections speeds of 1750Mbps. External antennae are a HUGE plus because you can always get better antennae. This router also boasts a dual core 800MHz processor and can most likely handle anything you will be throwing at it. The installation was as simple as any other router. There are three options when you get into the admin interface, quick setup, basic and advanced. The quick setup process gives you a step by step walkthrough to enter all critical pieces of information to get your router going, this is great for beginners. Those that want a few more options, but don’t want to be overwhelmed can use the basic setup. Finally, if you want granular control of your network then you can do so with the advanced tab. This is the tab that I used, and I’ve got to say it is one of the best user interfaces I’ve seen on a router. Everything is right where it should be and is intuitive to find thanks to the tabbed navigation. I had my router up and running in 15 minutes. I’ve configured three networks, a 2.5GHz, 5.0GHz, and guest network. The guest network is completely isolated from the 2.4 and 5.0 networks (or you can grant guests access to see each other or the protected networks). I configured reserved IPs for my servers with ease, and then port forwarding to them just as easily. The USB options on this router are great. You get a 3.0 and 2.0 port and the admin options are simple and easy to use. Transfer speeds aren’t anything to boast about, I got about 6MBps upload and 10MBps download via the USB 3.0 port which is better than any router I’ve used before. Hopefully they will be able to give speeds a boost in future firmware revisions. I was able to map a network drive flawlessly using credentials which I’ve had issues with on other routers. I think my favorite feature of this router is that it allows dynamic dns through no-ip (as well as dynamic dns and comexe). Most routers I have used don’t have configurations for no-ip, but finally I have one that does. I can now access everything through my unique domain and I don’t have to worry about my VPN screwing up the DUC utility. This router supports concurrent use of both 2.4 and 5.0 bands for maximum wireless throughput while operating in AC mode. Unfortunately I am unable to test that feature at this time.
Cons: Not much. It’s a little pricey, but for the features you get it’s still a great deal. The USB is a little slow, even on 3.0, but as I said before this router still performs better than any other one that I’ve used. I think it is a hardware limitation not so much a software one. NAT Boost. Not 100% sure what this feature actually does (supposedly increases performance), but when it is enabled you lose out on features like bandwidth monitoring. From what I’ve found on the internet if you disable NAT Boost then there is ~50% drop in bandwidth performance. TP-Link recommends that this be left on, so that’s what I’m doing. I don’t generally monitor the bandwidth anyway so it’s not enough to knock an egg. If you plan on wall mounting this router, don’t buy this router. It has one position and one position only, can’t even lay it flat.
Overall Review: It is not very often that I give a product a 5 star review, but this router deserves it. The features and benefits that you get at this price point are pretty awesome. None of the cons are bad enough to warrant dropping a single egg and are only a minor annoyance at most. The benefits of this router greatly outweigh the cons. This router is for power users. People that are going to take full advantage of the features and want a router that outperforms most rivals. If you are looking for that kind of router then I would absolutely recommend this!
Not the best router I've used

Pros: I've been using this router since March (solid month). The set up was fairly easy and straightforward. The online interface is pretty easy to use. I'm coming from a buffalo router with ddwrt so I've gotten used to that, so it did take a few minutes to find all the options that I wanted to use. Assigning static IP's for computers / printers is easy one you find the right menu. VPN passthrough works well. Now I've never had a 'cloud' router before and to be perfectly honest I think it is kinda useless. The only thing that I really like about it is the android (and iOS) app that lets me reset the router from the second floor where my computer is. One less flight of stairs :) Overall this is a decent little router, it lacks many of the options of the better routers, but that is to be expected. I haven't really been seeing consistent speeds with this router, and that will bring us to the cons.....
Cons: The speeds that this router can push are less than impressive for me. On my buffalo router with ddwrt I was easily pushing 30-35mbps consistently throughout the day and night. On this D-Link i'm lucky if I get 20mbps during the day. I've also been having to reset the router constantly. The speed drops to a crawl (if I even have internet at all) and I will have to reboot the router. Now this should be a fairly simple thing to do right... wrong. About 1/2 times I have to go downstairs and unplug it for about 5 minutes and then plug it in. For some reason, sometimes when it reconnects with the modem, It cannot "find" the internet. And I mean that literally, a D-Link page comes up when you open a browser and says "oops cannot connect". It is an incredibly aggravating series of events. I feel like I shouldn't have to reset my router every other day. And that's why I'm giving it three eggs
Overall Review: Its a decent overall router, But at 59.99 there are too many issues with the firmware.
Awesome Wired Headset

Pros: Excellent design and build quality Physical volume dial and mute buttons which are easy to find and use Good audio quality and passive noise cancellation Comfortable wear for extended periods of time Microphone quality is very good
Cons: Fairly large headset. I have a pretty big head and the smallest setting is perfect for me. Others will likely think this headset is too large. That's honestly it.
Overall Review: Overall I think this is a great set of headphones at a pricepoint that won't break the bank. I've been using this with a PS4 and the headphones allow me to get into a session and focus on it. They do a pretty good job of cancelling out the noise around me (if the wife is talking I can hear it, but I have to remove the headphones to actually listen). Using the chat functionality, I can hear others crystal clear and they have not reported any issues in my sound quality. I would absolutely recommend this headset to my friends or anyone looking for a good quality gaming headset without spending $100+
Same Great Seagate Quality

Pros: Solid drive 3TB backed by a three year warranty. Three times the workload rating of a normal desktop drive. Supports up to 64 camera set up. Quiet operation I have this in a NAS box as a standalone drive that I'm using with a two camera setup (720p). This NAS box is backed up to a larger NAS running RAID. Over the last few days it's been running very well and I have no complaints.
Cons: In terms of hardware this drive is average. I'd like to see a better warranty period on this especially considering it is targeted towards multi-camera setups so the workload would be very heavy. Seagate is trusted when they come to the warranty though, so if there is an issue within the three year time period you can trust that they will make good on it.
Overall Review: While this is targeted to DVR / video surveillance you could use this drive for any I/O consistent tasks. Looking for a drive to record your game play to? This would work great. Overall I think it's a great drive and I would recommend it to someone looking for a drive in their DVR or surveillance system.
Good device - easy setup

Pros: Very simple setup, WPS setup was mostly a breeze. Dual band capability is excellent. I have both 2.4 and 5.0 networks in my condo and the 5.0 doesn’t quite reach the front of the house and the 2.4 band is quite cluttered from everyone else. This device has solved that issue. Speed test has proven only minimal (negligible) speed loss when connected to the extender. You can set this up either as a separate extended network OR a transparent extension of the current network. Lots of options on the backend so you can tweak just about everything. Site Survey is a nice feature along with spot finder, I find it is easier to use a mobile phone to gauge placement of the device, but if you don’t have that capability then spot finder is an excellent visual tool. Overall the backend is quite intuitive and doesn’t take long to find what you need. Generally Linksys admin console is one of the easier portals to use. Administrative tools are nice, the log and diagnostics sections are quite detailed so you can monitor events and test ping URLs and IPs. The firmware upgrade is built in so you don’t have to go to the website and find the right file, it does it for you (very nice touch). Crossband support is also nice, I have it set to auto, but you can choose specific uplink bands for the device to communicate to your router on e.g. only 2.4 or only 5.0. Physical design of the device is nice, the dual external antenna make me more confident in the capabilities of the device and you can swivel for one horizontal and one vertical.
Cons: It would seem that you cannot change the wireless channel on the network. Best practice would have your APs on different channels e.g. 1 and 6, but the extender matches the settings of the parent router e.g. 1 and 1. I think this is a tad overpriced, there are decent options for dual band range extenders out there at much lower costs.
Overall Review: Overall I think this is a great device. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend who is looking for a stable and effective device that is a breeze to set up. I did run into one issue with WPS setup where the 5.0ghz network failed to connect and extend. All I had to do was push the WPS button again and it synced up perfectly the second time for 5.0 network (I had to push the WPS a total of three times 1 for 2.4 and 2 for 5.0). Not worth taking an egg of for this as the fix was quite easy.
Not a great tablet

Pros: Has a decent out of the box android experience. Not much change from the default Android platform that many manufacturers seem to love to do. Fairly responsive screen to touches. A lot of the new tablets I’ve had seem to have an issue with this, but the responsivity of the screen on the Irulu tablet is quite nice. 16GB of internal storage is a decent amount, maybe a little light for a tablet which would most likely have movies, but supports up to 32GB MicroSD. It’s extremely low cost. Under $100 for a tablet that will function decently enough for email, browsing, that’s about it actually. It's a good tablet for a small child to keep them occupied. Probably won't last long, but I wouldn't be upset if it was broken.
Cons: This is going to be a long list. The absolute number one biggest negative this tablet has is the screen. It is awful. As I mentioned before the touch aspect of the screen is fine, works quite well actually. Everything else about it is atrocious. The viewing angle when in portrait mode seems to be about 2 degrees. If you move your head or the tablet even a little, you can hardly see the screen. Even when the screen is visible it just has a weird look to it and even started causing headaches after 5 minutes. I also already have some scratches in the screen from very light use. I don’t think it will hold up long at all. No wall adapter in the box. Come on, really? Also the cable that comes with it is has a very cheap feel to it. 512MB of RAM is unacceptable this late in 2015 3G, how? There is a TF Card slog for MicroSD cards, but when you go to mobile data it says please insert a sim card… where?? Seriously doubt there are going to be very many software updates for this tablet. Seems like a one and done kind of device Battery life is pretty bad. It drains quickly even when in standby mode. I would be lucky to get a few hours use out of this device. The cameras are terrible. Don’t even bother using them. It's very ugly. You really don't need to label every single I/O on the back, nor slap a sticker with a serial number on it. I can figure out what everything does, and if you could print the I/O labels on it, couldn't you print the serial number?
Overall Review: I always ask myself would I recommend this product to a friend, and normally the answer is yes. This is a resounding no. I don't even think I could give this tablet away.
