Works great, but be aware...

Microsoft Office 365 Home - 5 Devices, 1 Year Subscription (Product Key Card)
Microsoft Office 365 Home - 5 Devices, 1 Year Subscription (Product Key Card)

Pros: This was very easy to install and get up and running on my new PC build. I was able to export my email, calendar, and contacts from my old computer running Office 2007 - and then easily import all of that information into Office 365 on my new computer.

Cons: This was initially a complete disaster installing this on my old computer, which already had Office 2007 installed on it. After installing Office 365 onto that old computer, it had both versions of MS Office installed on it. That was unexpected, but really just an annoyance. However, when I would launch Outlook or Excel (but not PowerPoint), the application would start, give a brief message that it was optimizing something, and then would immediately crash, and I mean totally crash completely. It was completely useless, so I uninstalled Office 365 from that computer. After spending a few hours online researching this situation, I saw that several other people were experiencing the exact same problem. One of the potential causes was a conflict with a program known as ABBYY Fine Reader. I recognized that as a program that was installed on my old computer, but one that I had never used. (It gets installed when you install software that comes with Epson printer and scanner installation disks.) I then uninstalled ABBYY Fine Reader from my old computer. My subsequent attempt to install Office 365 onto that computer went smoothly, and the programs all ran just fine. It even pulled all of my email, calendar, and contacts information from Office 2007. A few days later, after I was satisfied that Office 365 was working OK, I just went into Add/Remove programs and uinstalled Office 2007. I'm still trying to get used to the bright white and light gray user interface. That might be really cool on a tablet, but on a desktop with a large monitor, it does not seem appropriate (to me). At times it really does seem to slow down your efficiency. That alone is worth removing one egg from my rating of this product.

Overall Review: Most people would not spend the time to research this situation, and would not be able to use this software.

Quiet and Fast

WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX

Pros: Quiet, fast

Cons: None

Overall Review: I replaced a 5 month old WD1002FAEX drive with this newer WD1003FZEX drive. I suspected something might be going wrong with my old drive, simply because the transfer rates were not measuring high (I was using Samsung Magician). chkdsk D: /r /f was not reporting any problems, though. Anyway, the new disk is quiet, and performance is great!

Works great!

CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R
CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R

Pros: Rock solid at the specified settings. I used them on my new ASUS Maximum VI Hero board. My CPU is the Intel i7-4770K, and it runs all my stress tests at 4.5 GHz while the memory is running at the specified settings (9-10-9-27-2T and 933 MHz, which is DDR3-1866). My CPU cooler is the Noctua NH-U14S, which comes with a 150mm fan that just clears this memory in the first DIMM slot closest to the CPU.

Cons: None.

Excellent SSD for my Laptop

This SSD came with the software utilities to clone my old existing SSD to this new Samsung SSD. It worked flawlessly. My laptop seems to be running "more snappy" with this Samsung SSD than it did with the one that came with my laptop.
