ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) Micro ATX Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, WiFi 6, ECC Memory, 1Gb LAN, HDMI 2.1/D-Sub, 4K@60HZ, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and Aura Sync)

Pros: (When I bought this board there were no reviews). M.2 Gen4 support with my 3600x. I swore the next computer I built would not have a sata anything in it. 6yrs later, it's real. The m.2 gen4 is amazing. Of course I had to give up my windows 7 and jump on the 10 band wagon. This will take time to get use too. This is kinda a no thrills board to some people, but for the price verses the x570s and it has wifi to boot....just right. I'm coming off an AMD A10 build that's 6 yrs old. A10 you ask? Look it up. I was using an nvidia 970 with it and it was good to me all this time. I work up north, way north but not Alaska north, and I had to use usb wifi vs buying a card. The wifi on this board alone doubled what the usb crud gave me. I'm not going sli or xfire so the x570 was'nt needed. The uefi or uife or whatever BIOS was a lot to take in at first, but thats my age creeping up on me. At first I thought, " whaaaat?" Then I calmed down and figured it out. A lot of down arrow until the mouse got up and running. This is the first board ever that wanted two mem sticks in the B slots. Glad I read that part. This has an extra fan header or rgb header next to the cpu cooler header and I've about had enough typing the word header. There two system fan headers (again?) in the middle of the board. Sound? It's in there. I don't need the vga or dvi ports........but someone must, It's a work station board. Oh, I updated the bios really easy before installing windows. Off an old usb 2.0 thumb drive no doubt.

Cons: As of now, none. Maybe one. If you can't put beer in the box at least put beer salt. Those are tiny.

Overall Review: N82E16820232091= the ram used in this build. MB had it 2600 so I bumped it up to 3200 and it o/c'd my cpu to 4.2. I don't need it that fast so I bumped it down to 2966 or something like that in order to get it to 3.8 since I'm using stock wraith cooler. Using a gen4 m.2 is precious. I remember the day when you started the windows download you had time to use the restroom, get a beer, meet your girlfriend in a dark corner of the house, cook dinner or run to the store. I just went to the bathroom and it was needing my input. And I was using an old usb 2.0 drive for installation. Wow. My girlfriend was looking inviting too *sigh* My build; N82E16814932160 (currently unavailable) N82E16820232091 Addlink S90 m.2 gen4x4 1TB ssd (different website) Silverstone 750w gold psu CM Q300L matx masterbox. (very nice) The snappiest system I've ever owned. I can finally say,"stupid fast!"

Whoa, same spec's as....?

AMD Phenom II X4 830 - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HDX830WFK4DGM
AMD Phenom II X4 830 - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HDX830WFK4DGM

Pros: Love the spec's so much, but ........ this cpu is like my two 925's that cost only 80 a month back.

Cons: Where did this 830 x4 come from when the same like cpu labeled the 925, but for less, come from?

Overall Review: Let's change the name and charge more to get rid of them. This is just like the 925 which is also C3 stepping and overclocks nicely. This 830 is C3 stepping. Both have identical mem and are also 95w tdp. Both run at 2.8ghz and with some overclocking (3.2 is simple) i'm sure this will work the just as well as the 925. Both the 830 and 925 are OEM. Last but not least, the 925 rocks, so with the same spec's, this will too!

Trust worthy

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-32GVK

Pros: I have always used G.skill and never paid attention to a QVL. G.skill always works. The QVL list for my board was the highest dollar lit up mem modules on the market. I bought these cheap and it's all I need for the Asus N82E16813119316.

Cons: None. Just beautiful nonchalant mem sticks that doesn't need bells and whistles!

Overall Review: They worked just fine out of the box and was recognized by the MB. MB had them set at 2600 but a simple click and it went right up there to spec's.

First time liquid user, long time reviewer

MasterLiquid Pro 240 All-In-One (AIO) Liquid Cooler with FlowOp Technology, Dual Chamber Design and MasterFan Pro Radiator Fans by Cooler Master
MasterLiquid Pro 240 All-In-One (AIO) Liquid Cooler with FlowOp Technology, Dual Chamber Design and MasterFan Pro Radiator Fans by Cooler Master

Pros: Cooler Master, radiator size, fits perfectly on inside top of the storm trooper case and actually works very very well.

Cons: Not a con, but it comes with pre-applied thermal paste (I knew it) and I'm not a fan of any paste other than tuniq, but in my excitement to build I forgot to order it. This works well........ But don't forget to order your own brand if you're a nalI'm only a nal about a few things in life....Wine, women and thermal paste. They all have to taste good chilled.

Overall Review: When I think cooler Master I think red. I own two full tower cases, a dragon and trooper. All themed red. What? No red l.e.d. 240mm liquid cooler? Corsair makes one, but you need to run a USB cable off of it to control features......Huh? That's not hard to hide....Right? Anyway, was building an i7 rig in red when this came on sale for a great price. Called my son and asked if he would like a blue center piece......He said yes. Corsair went on sale the next day for same price. Oops. This cooler doesn't heat the 6700k Up at all. Gaming 2k in the low 50's with a 980ti amp Omega? (Running at 4.2 CPU) Who would've thunk? We did replace stock fans with two thermal take riing fans ( look into those, they're awesome.) We were going to use the cm Master air maker for cooling, but it truly looks like a pain and review sites stated liquid still beats it. Easy install, just baby it and have extra hands on hand.(?) Comes very well packaged. The blue is dull enough to be sexy, not over powering. Comes with everything you need and then some. Have fun.

Crucial love

Crucial MX300 2.5" 525GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT525MX300SSD1

Pros: 525GB's for 110. What better way to say I love you other than the bud light girls showing up on your front door step? Comes with Acronis software key.

Cons: Doesn't clean up after me, and silly people who don't own these in raid zero.

Overall Review: I wanted a terabyte, not gigabytes. Trying to go terabyte in the M.2 arena was just way to expensive and even on the single ssd drive side. I opted for two of these 525's and put them in a raid 0. Granted they are still not to M.2 speeds, they are faster in a pair then alone. The write speeds are where I gain my speeds. They out do the read by over 50%. Read speeds are still at or above the max stated as a single drive. Just say no to mech drives! I did. I'll take these gains and volume over M.2 for this price any day. Thank you very much. Go get some chow.

I love long time

ASUS ROG STRIX B250G GAMING LGA1151 DDR4 HDMI DVI M.2 Micro-ATX Motherboard with USB 3.1

Pros: Two m.2 slots, 4 ram slots, kaby lake cpu's and it's Asus. Birthday Build to replace my son's old am3 dual core unlocked to a quad core rig. Remember those? Right! Not there to witness functionality yet, but he's been awe struck since its build. (Go figure) I haven't updated bios, no need right now, but there are two newer versions for those that want to use winows 7.

Cons: Sent the parts to my older son's house for the build and he said there was no beer in the box! IKR?! Wow, no extras. ONLY 20 PCIE LANES! CAN'T WAIT FOR THREAD RIPPER!

Overall Review: My son games with Xbox mostly so that's the reason for no z270. He does game on lol's, the reason for no 1060 or 70. My oldest stated it just worked when first he turned it on. Parts are as follows; This board Intel6 nvme m.2 512gig (try those, you'll love them) I3 7100 (i7 7700 by christmas if needed) Zotac 1050ti Gskill ddr4 2400 2x8gig Housed in a storm scout With an ugly mech drive for storage. Win10 pro Coming off amd who wouldn't fall in love wit that? Quote from my son, "I Love it! It's a beast!"...... Kids say the darndest things!
