Solid preformer, but not for OC'ers

Pros: Relatively inexpensive solution that yields solid performance with room to upgrade. Roomy and stable, with full GPU throughput in Crossfire. Supports DDR2 and DDR3 (though not simultaneously of course).
Cons: PCI-E 16x slots are spaced to just barely accommodate 2 dual slot GPUs. The BIOS in general are amateur hour all the way. No setting to shut off NumLock, no numeric voltage settings for the chipset. At least they didn't cut corners on the hardware's performance...
Overall Review: Overall, this is a really nice MoBo. It does what it should and it runs stably. The BIOS are inadequate for OC'ing, but I really just bought this to run solidly at stock speeds, and it does just that. Be forewarned that you must set the RAM speed with jumpers. Not a deal breaker, but that means that if you install DDR2, you are running at 1066. Period. I dropped in 4GB of 800, and it immediately clocked it up to 1066. It's not a problem since everything is stable and happy, but i was a little surprised, so I thought I would share.
Best dual core on the market

Pros: Fast; stable; low power draw means cool operation; cake to OC.
Cons: Doesn't make money fly out of my DVD drive as I wanted it to. I even asked it nicely...
Overall Review: This thing's a beast. OC'ed to 3.8 on air with no voltage increase. Paired with an AC Freezer 7 Pro, it stays ~5 C over ambient running at load. Nothing stutters, nothing doesn't work. This should tide me over until the big quad cores' prices drop.
Bang for the buck!

Pros: No frills, stable memory.
Cons: not free
Overall Review: I plugged this into an ASRock x38TurboTwins, and off it went...at 1066 MHz! Timings stayed at stock, but it simply decided to run faster than advertised. Actually, the accidental OC is a consequence of the MoBo using jumpers to set the RAM speed, but the memory is handling it swimmingly, so thanks A-Data! The x38 also set the voltage @ 2.0 rather than 1.8, however I was able to lower it to 1.9 while maintaining stability. I've been a little scared to drop back to 1.8 because I really hate disappointment, but I bet I'll try it soon!
If you like miniatures, you'll love this thing.

Pros: Free, functional, and ummmm flat.
Cons: Freakin' tiny. The picture is larger than actual size...
Overall Review: I'm not sure I should dock a full star for the size of this thing, but I feel pretty confident that i will lose this at some point. It's really small, and only about the thickness of a nickle. I'm pretty sure that the only reason that it's as large as it is, is that it needs to fit in a USB port. That said, it works exactly as it should, and since I'm not planning on using it as a portable device, it will do the job.
Sleek and solid

Pros: Well constructed; looks great; clear, easy to read display; full voltage range from 0v-12v; pretty accurate temps.
Cons: Price. Documentation is a little lackluster, but it's not that hard to figure out, so...
Overall Review: This controller is sexy! Well, it is as long as you like the less-is-more aesthetic. You can't really tell from the pictures, but it's highly glossy, and the temperature and rpm readings are different colors (blue and green respectively). Controls 4 fans and displays data from 4 temperature probes. Really solid construction with smooth, tight knobs. The connection adapters (which must be used) are a bit long, but nothing a couple of twist ties can't handle. Overall, this is a slightly expensive, but very well-built purchase.
This thing's a beast

Pros: Fast, fast, and fast. Did I mention that it's fast?
Cons: Runs hot, bulky, a bit of a power hog.
Overall Review: Not a hardware issue, but the 64 bit Catalyst drivers are a giant, steaming pile of monkey dung. They are the sole reason I give this card 4 stars. Luckily, Vista uses it's own which are at least solid, if not the greatest GPU drivers I've seen. I can only hope that AMD/ATI steps up with some decent drivers for this stellar performer. Even the heat issue that everyone complains about are easily rectified with a little extra air flow in the case (I couldn't find a way of doing the config file fan mod w/ the MS drivers). With stock cooling, mine is running ~12-15 C over ambient under full load. Not bad...
