Pros: 1) 850 watt. 2) Modular. 3) Fan is fairly quiet - can be turned off completely. 4) Overkill for my needs so it always run cool and the fan spins slow.* * Maybe I should have got the 750 for better efficiency. Something to consider if you are like me and will rarely go past 300 watts. Eh.

Cons: Only one and that is some slight coil whine that exists near idle loads. It comes and goes, but isn't too noticeable. In fact, my old unit's fan (Thermaltake Purepower 500) would have hidden the coil noise since its fan was louder.

Overall Review: This is the first power supply I actually have ever bought in my life. All the others either came with the case or were hand me downs from people that like to spend too much money on their computers. I'll would never buy a non-modular power supply as the cabling is soooooo much nicer with this unit. You wouldn't think you'd care that much about the cabling, but once you eliminate over half of it it really makes a difference.

Pros: Fast and quiet.

Cons: None.

Pros: HDMI, DisplayPort, SATA 6GBs, USB 3. Other ports too, but these are the ones I care about.

Cons: Only 1 16x PCI Express, but I would probably never use more than 1 anyway. The other PCI Express slots are gonna be blocked by the video card. Wish they were on the left side of the board. Instead, legacy PCI slots are on the left. But, I would probably never use anything but the 1 16X PCI Express slot anyway. Pretty much everything I use is USB or SATA. Some of the SATA ports might be a problem if you get a 3 slot video card as the card might hit the connectors on the cable. I assume this might be resolved with different cables. Never looked into it.

Overall Review: I’m not sure why so many people seem to be having problems. I don’t know about XP, but Windows 7 is running fine with this thing. It has been pretty reliable. I seem to remember a crash or two early on when I was playing with drivers and stuff. But, it’s been running trouble free for over a year now. I love HDMI. Got it going to my TV with the middle mouse button hooked up to switch between TV and my DVI monitor. The built in video on the processor has worked well for me streaming 1080p video and for a few older games. I’ve just now ordered a GTX 660 Ti and DisplayPort monitor. We’ll see how that goes. Anyway, this is a 5 for me, because I knew what the board had when I bought it and it fit my needs and budget perfectly.
