Great game!
Pros: This game is a good way to kill a few nights. It's good once in a while to play a gripping single-player experience - and this delivers on that note. Graphics are good, sound is good and the gameplay is good. If your a fan of single-player games, I would definitely pick this up.
Cons: I wish they would have allowed you to play around with the TMD device with the environments a little bit more; not just for puzzles.
Overall Review: I recommend!
Not bad..
Pros: -Easy install -Awesome BIOS
Cons: Strange issue involving RAM. I've got 16GB total (4 x 4GB) of Corsair Vegance, all identical. However the computer will NOT boot if all 4 DIMM slots are utilized. A1/A2 slots seem fine. I am able to boot with two RAM chips (8GB) in A1/A2. But if you were to throw anything into B1/B2 the computer starts up, 4 seconds later turns off, starts up on its own, 4 seconds later it turns off, etc. I've individually tested all 4 RAM chips using A1/A2 DIMM slots and they all worked fine - so it's not my RAM chips. Something has to be wonky with the B1/B2 DIMM slots or the memory channel. BIOS was already the lastest version shipped, tweaked some of the memory settings under BIOS (disable/enabled XBM or whatever its called) and still nada. I've ran that MemOK! diagnostic - no good. It's not necessarily a show stopper because everything else works fine and ultimately I could always try throwing 2 x 8GB to make 16GB into A1/A2 DIMM slots. I'm contemplating on RMA'ing the motherboard.
So far, so good!
Pros: Quiet Efficient Ample amount of cables
Cons: None
Overall Review: So far this power supply is working as intended. It's quiet, has plenty of connections and is efficient. I tried TWO different Evga 1300w SuperNOVA G2 PSU's before this Corsair and BOTH had the same fan noise/ strange "bzzzz" noise upon starting my PC.
Phenomenal case.
Pros: -Behemoth of a case. -Insane amount of interior space. -Near perfect airflow capabilities. -Subtle yet clean RGB lighting. -Premium quality feel.
Cons: -None!
Overall Review: This case has it all. Right off the bat you can feel the premium quality of it. It has more than enough space for nearly any PC build/configuration and air vents to provide more than adequate air flow ventilation. The glass door is sturdy and attractive. The subtle use of RGB lighting is also attractive; not too much and not too little. I've got 8 x Phanteks 140mm fans providing proper ventilation: -3 x intakes on the front -1 x intake from the bottom -3 x exhaust at the top -1 x exhaust at the rear This is my second Phanteks case (handing existing one to one one of my kids for their new PC build), and I am continually impressed with their cases! Well done Phanteks!
So far, so good!
Pros: -Incredibly fast. -Good thermals. -Sweet LCD screen. -Very quiet.
Cons: -Humongous. -Was not part of the free Watch Dogs / GeForce NOW subscription promotion. -Certain features (TGP wattage, FPS counter, etc.) on LCD screen do not work (probably a software issue).
Overall Review: So far, so good. I haven't run into any issues with this card. Coming from a 1080ti, I immediately notice a dramatic increase in performance with some games that my 1080ti struggled with. Metro Exodus runs flawlessly at 1440p, DX12, Ray Tracing, Ultra settings. This card is humongous, so ensure that you have plenty of room in your case before installing. A little disappointed that this card was not included with the free Watch Dogs / GeForce NOW subscription promotional offer like all the other RTX 30 series cards. Lastly, some Enthusiast items for the LCD screen do not work such as TGP wattage, FPS counter, etc. I think this may be a software issue and should hopefully be resolved in the future. Other than that, this card is phenomenal and can highly recommend it if you are able to get it when playing at 1440p or high resolutions. I wouldn't recommend it at 1080p resolutions or lower.
**UPDATE**
Pros: -Incredible Sound quality -Easy to use on-screen menus -Everything else except...
Cons: -NO PRE-OUT!!
Overall Review: I'm giving an update on this receiver; slightly changing my previous review. I've been using the receiver for the past 4 months all in all is wonderful! Great to have as a starter receiver to drive low-end speakers. However, I was foolish and did not see that this receiver does NOT come with any pre-out's; meaning you cannot hook up an amp to drive a larger, more expensive set of speakers. This receiver could drive any speaker @8 ohms with a 25 - 150 watt rating; going any higher than that is pushing it. So overall - a great receiver! Although buyer beware if you plan on using this receiver, don't expect to be running say a pair of Paradigms - or even a pair of Polk Audio Monitor 70 to their full potential!
