Pros: One stick ok. One stick DOA
Cons: Got this 8gb kit for $29.99 which I felt was a great price. My savings will now be eaten up in return shipping costs. Wasted savings = no savings
Overall Review: I live in S. Jersey. Order took 9 days to arrive from N. Jersey! While following the tracking it was at one time in Elkridge, MD! Really.
G.Skill, how about a little QC?
Newegg, you gave the package to DHL and they drove it to Elkridge, MD and handed it over to USPS. Next time just give the package to the mail carrier.
Pros: Built my HTPC around this and an AMD A8. Didn't throw me one curve. Runs cool with no issues. Pretty to look at.
Cons: None that I have experienced
Overall Review: Check the QVL before purchasing your RAM. Driver disk was outdated when the board arrived so I dl'd the current drivers from ASUS prior to build. All in all I would reccomend this board. AMD has moved on from FM1 and this may signal a price drop if you don't mind (barely) second gen tech.
Pros: See previous review
Cons: eSATA port is malfunctioning and ZOTAC are not responding to any call for assistance. Knocked off an egg for the failed port and an egg for the lack of response.
Overall Review: I searched online for a solution to this issue and it turns out that I'm not alone. Seem to be a common problem. Come on ZOTAC, step up and stand by your product.
Pros: Nice fit, sound good. Inline controls work well. Decent cord length. A good buy for me. Bought on special $25 w/free shipping. Not a bad deal.
Cons: These DO NOT work with PS3, xBox. This is important information that is included on the newegg product page albeit the very last bit of info on the last page. imho should have been more up front due to the edge console gaming holds over pc gaming.
Overall Review: If they worked with my PS3 I would be a happy customer. I did use them for a few skype calls, to call Rosewill tech support, and they performed well. I hate to knock off an egg for what may be my bad but the information was too important to be buried like it is. Whomever it is writing the web page needs to be aware of important features and make them more prominent. I will keep these due to the low purchase cost vs the return shipping/restocking fee.
Pros: Display port was a must for me and this monitor fit the bill with both it's connectivity options and it's size. It's like having two monitors in one. I can work between two full sized documents and not have to jump back and forth to see them. Came with a 6' HDMI cable.
Cons: Paid full price plus shipping. I need a better crystal ball!
Overall Review: I have this connected to a Lenovo L412 which has discrete graphics (512mb) via the display port. I use the headphone out jack to feed my external speakers and sub. This works perfectly for me and i am very pleased with this purchase.
If you are using the display port be sure to buy a cable when you buy this monitor as one is not included.
Pros: Purchased this for an HP zv5000 that had 512mb ram. System now runs fine with the 1gb.
Cons: I didn't order 2 of these.
Overall Review: I plan on ordering another of these and max out the ram on my zv5000 to 2gb.
Pros: Small size helps with keeping the unit plugged in all the time. Toshiba software is a plus.
Cons: None that I have encountered.
Overall Review: Other people mention the constantly flashing blue LED. I have no problem as my usb ports are on the back of my laptop. Works on usb 1.1
