Great Sats, Decent Sub

Pros: Klipsch technology / quality; nice highs & clear dialog; good power handling; comes with mounting plates and mounting screw holes; Don't distort at high volumes - sound way better than my z5500 system; Dolby TrueHD & DTS Master sound great! Good price, great for a bedroom HT setup.
Cons: The 6.5" sub is a little weak if you're used to 8"/10"/12" subs, but it does its work admirably and isn't muddy. I gave the sub to my cousin to complement their Yamaha rx-V663 + Polk RTi4 setup, and it complements their setup nicely.
Overall Review: This system + the receiver was a replacement for my 3 year old Z5500 speaker system. I replaced the sub with a Polk PSW-110 10" sub and the speakers are connected to a Yamaha rx-V465 receiver. Though the documentation says satellite frequency response is 150hz to whatever upper freq, testing shows frequency response starts from ~115hz, so you can set your crossover frequency to about 120Hz. Anyway, still breaking the speakers in!
Didn't work in Toshiba A35

Pros: Seems to work in Compaq A64 systems using pc2700 ram. OCZ tech support is decent.
Cons: Bought this for my Toshiba laptop that was using a newly transplanted p4/3.06/533fsb cpu. The original was a P4/2.3/400, so suddenly the pc2700 ram is running at 444mhz instead of 333. It's solid, but I decided it would be safer to use 400mhz ram. Technically ram should run at any standard speed <= than stock. But the OCZ doesn't seem to work on intel 852GME and intel 845PE systems.
Overall Review: The timings on these chips are strange, so that could probably be an issue. Otherwise OCZ ram is supposed to be quite good. Hopefully, another brand will work. Because 166 - 222mhz is a big overclock.
Great NAS / Server!

Pros: - Easy to install and set up initially. I installed 4 x 3TB Seagate Barracude drives using Synology's SHR RAID. - The NAS shows up on the network, so it's easy to map it as a network drive (Win7, Win 8, OS X). - Media Server supports a variety of video and audio formats including MKV, M2TS, AVI, and FLAC lossless audio files. - Available 3rd party packages; ex. I installed Logitech Media Server for my Squeezebox players; works the same as the LMS did on my media server computer. - Great network performance for file transfers, media serving, media playback. - Quiet, seems well built. - Software / OS seems to be very stable; no crashes, etc.; Diskstation OS is intuitive and easy to use. - Dual core CPU handles all these functions well.
Cons: - Parity consistency check the NAS does after you build the RAID volume takes a while (works at ~ 150MB/s). It uses CPU and disk resources, and will slow down any initial file transfers to the NAS. I'd wait for it to get done so you can do your thing peacefully. I copied 2.5TB of media while it was going on and transfer speeds over the LAN were ~60MB/s due to the background activity. - Otherwise, I'm not seeing any cons at this point.
Overall Review: Was using a dedicated 4-core Win7 machine to serve media and run Logitech Media Server before. I had a number of external enclosures hooked up due to just adding on storage over time. The DS413 is a much tidier solution!! After 2 days of copying files, setting up the software, letting all the indexing / scanning get done, I've turned off the media server box and the NAS is handling everything. Excellent product! Highly recommended.
Reliable & Fast Router

Pros: - Rarely every drops a wifi connection - Good 2.4 ghz / 5 ghz range - Excellent configuration options - Gigabit LAN - Media server functionality - Frequent firmware updates - Port forwarding works properly
Cons: - power adapter plug not particularly snug
Overall Review: I've owned numerous wireless routers over the years and they've all had their faults. But the WNDR3700 has been the most rock solid router I've owned so far. I have a gigabit lan with a dedicated gaming PC and a dedicated media server PC (for 1080p movies, mp3s, and lossless audio) and this router has performed flawlessly. I think Netgear has turned itself around after years of subpar products. Highly recommended.
Best 1366 waterblock out there!

Pros: So much easier to install than the Apogee GT I was using before w/ my Q9650; great build quality, copper plate has a mirror finish almost; temps on my 920 @ 4.2 are ~ 36C idle 70C after 20 passes of linx, 68C after 8 hrs of prime95, 65C after multiple 1080p h264 encoding sessions (the most realistic/common 100% load scenario); quality barbs, no leaks after overnight leak testing; very happy with the performance!
Cons: A little expensive, but the performance is worth it!
Overall Review: Paired with Arctic Cooling MX-2 tim, Swiftech MCP 655B pump, Swiftech MC-RES, and Swiftech MCR320 triple rad. Push with 3 120mm Xigmatek fans, and pull with 3 120x38mm Scythe Ultra Kaze fans; front panel fan controller for all 6 fans.
So Far So Good!

Pros: Runs at spec with no problems (XMP works). I'm running 12GB (6 x 2GB) of these sticks at 1600MHz with 7-7-7-20 timings on an OC'd 920 (4.2ghz) and they've been rock solid. They passed multiple Linx sessions and I've been encoding 1080p movies all day with zero problems. You can pretty much count on G.Skill sticks to work. Of course I was happy I didn't encounter any memory issues (6 sticks would be a pain to troubleshoot). Heatsinks on the ram are solid too..you can feel the extra weight - good design.
Cons: None so far ..$400+ for 12GB was a bit expensive though.
Overall Review: Core i7 920 and an Asus P6X58D motherboard running 0604 BIOS. The ram works like a charm. And like everything else I've ordered from newegg over the last 8+ years, came quickly and packaged well!
