Quiet and Cool

Pros: Good build quality. Four 12v rails are nice, and an unusual feature. Delivers solid power on every rail without spikes or sags. Active PFC is much appreciated. Modular cables are a plus, all cables are sleeved and color-coded for easy connectivity. Runs quiet and cool even at heavy load. Includes cable ties and printed documentation that is quite helpful and informative. Newegg savings make this unit a terrific value.
Cons: The cables are rather stiff, so you may want to look inside your case and flex them appropriately ahead of time to ensure easy routing once everything is connected.
Overall Review: After switching to dual 9600 GT cards, I wanted to upgrade from my beloved Corsair 620 watt PSU for added stability. This unit fit the bill perfectly. Now my system is rock solid stable and has extra power to spare for future upgrades. As always, Newegg amazes me with their fast shipping and great service. Overall, I am delighted with this product.
Seriously Flawed

Pros: 1. Clear plastic casing looks nice. 2. Construction seems reasonably sturdy, but less so than other Orico products. 3. It was nice of Orico to include two cables, a screw and brace, and even a small screwdriver. 4. The packaging is first rate, and includes a printed manual.
Cons: 1. Disconnects and reconnects every few seconds, making it completely unusable for anything. It couldn't even transfer a single file without timing out and aborting the copy. 2. It (almost) worked with the supplied USB 3.0 cable, but did not work at all with supplied USB 3.1 cable, nor was it recognized by Windows 10 Pro, in Explorer or Disk Management. This was especially disappointing because it was what I mainly bought the drive for. 3. Runs very hot, even just idling, and the included thermal pads are too small to provide full coverage. 4. The casing seemed a bit on the flimsy side, to the point where I was wary of breaking the plastic when trying to open it. To make matters worse, the cover tends to get stuck in place, and I had to use a spudger to get it off. Finally, the drive was not snug in the enclosure and wobbled a bit, although the internal connection was fine.
Overall Review: I have several other Orico products and they all work great, but not this one. I initially thought I just had a bad unit, as the reviews on Newegg are very positive overall. However, after receiving mine and having problems with it, I checked reviews on some other sites and they were not good at all, with many users experiencing the exact same issues that I did. That has convinced me to avoid this model for now, at least until Orico can address the constant disconnect and USB 3.1 problems with a revision or firmware update.
Useless for Me

Pros: None for me.
Cons: This drive is recognized by Windows and assigned a drive letter, but it doesn't read disks properly, saying that the media is not recognized and may need to be formatted. All of my archived floppies are in excellent condition, and can be read and written to just fine by standard internal floppy drives on other machines. However, out of over 20 archive disks that were tested, this unit reads only one of them. It will reliably read and write to disks that were formatted on this drive, but no others.
Overall Review: Unfortunately, this drive's failure to recognize any floppies that it did not format itself made it completely useless for what I bought it for. Try before you buy if possible. This is my third USB floppy drive; the first had the same problem as this one, and appears to be a rebadged version of the same unit; the second was lost in the mail from China; and this one doesn't work either. I think it's time to throw out my old floppies rather than wasting more time and money trying to save the data on them.
A Great Laptop at a Great Price!

Pros: Great performance overall; the 7th Gen Core i7 processor and 1060 6GB video card are top notch. Bright and crisp 17.3" IPS display with vibrant colors. Custom Eluktronics NVMe SSD by Samsung gives very snappy load speeds and access times. Fans are whisper quiet on Automatic setting (but see Cons). Lighted keyboard feels nice to type on, and is very good for gaming as long as you don't pound on the keys. Solid build quality, and beautifully understated design and finish; better than any garish "gaming laptop". Light and thin for those who want portability, although I use mine plugged in as a desktop replacement. Includes a custom DVD to automatically install drivers, although I got mine directly from the website. No bloatware whatsoever, and it even includes a full retail Windows 10 DVD. Lavish packaging includes HDD mounting hardware and even a nice cleaning cloth for the screen.
Cons: This machine has NO real cons whatsoever, but if one was to nitpick for the sake of doing so: It runs a bit warm with brand new, poorly optimized games, but nothing to be concerned about. Although it is not an issue for me at all, the fan noise on Maximum (recommended for gaming) is audible. The battery life is fairly short with everything cranked up to the max, but on recommended settings, it is outstanding. The speakers are pretty weak for music and movies, but they offer exceptional sound and volume for gaming. The keyboard lighting and similar tweaks are controlled through a custom app, rather than through BIOS settings. The BIOS is fairly locked down, but it is upgradable and is very stable right out of the box.
Overall Review: At this price point, many manufacturers would cut corners on the CPU, use a 1050 Ti video card, and so on, but not Eluktronics. This machine feels premium from the moment you open the box, and the wealth of extras included are unheard of in today's market. The performance is exceptional, making this laptop a steal. And last but certainly not least, Eluktronics service and support is second to none. I emailed them with several questions before and after purchase, and every time, I received a prompt and courteous reply. I even missed out on the Intel Gaming Bundle promotion, which was advertised just after I bought my laptop, and Eluktronics was kind enough to retro the offer and send me a promo code. Don't hesitate to give Eluktronics a chance, and buy this superb laptop. When it comes to quality, craftsmanship, value, and support, they put the so-called "name brands" to shame.
Not Quite as Advertised, But Not Bad

Pros: Seems to work pretty reliably so far under Win 10 64 bit with updated drivers from manufacturer's web site. Setup was fast and easy, and performance is good overall, although I did not quite get the stated 300 Mb/s Wi-Fi speeds.
Cons: Despite the listed Specifications, this product is USB 2.0 and not USB 3.0 as stated. If you're looking for USB 3.0 throughput speeds, you may want to consider a different adapter.
Overall Review: I wouldn't mind seeing a USB 3.0 revamp of this product, as it seems to have been designed with Win 7 in mind, and might benefit from a slight tech refresh. Would still recommend this unit for those looking for solid performance at a reasonable price.
Looks Good if it Works

Pros: The board is nicely laid out, except for the quirky placement of the first two SATA ports. Also, the PCI-E slots may be too close together for some people's needs. For example, I had to place my video card and sound card one directly above the other despite having nothing else mounted in the board, when I would have preferred to space them out for better airflow and cooling. The board is packed with features, and the black and white aesthetic is very pleasing.
Cons: The front panel jumpers are labeled in the manual, but do not seem to be labeled on the board itself, so be careful when connecting the pins. As mentioned above, the SATA ports are strangely placed and oriented, but the cables included with the board should be long enough to suit any case. I used black OK Gear cables and had no trouble connecting them. Finally, some of the clearances in general are pretty tight, so plan accordingly if you want to use a massive heat sink or cooler. Sadly, my board was DOA out of the box and will not power on. I've cleared the CMOS, checked and reseated everything, and even tried a second known-good power supply and different RAM sticks. I got a defective board, so I am hoping MSI support will honor the warranty and allow me to RMA the board and get a working unit.
Overall Review: Although I am very disappointed with the quality of the particular board I received, I am assuming this is an isolated incident. I have used MSI boards exclusively since 1999 and have had only three bad ones (including this one) in about three dozen builds, so I would still recommend their products.
Lost by USPS
Sadly, I never received my item because it was lost in transit by the USPS. The seller, Realsun, took immediate action when notified about this, and gave me a refund instantly. I am going to try ordering the same item from them again. Despite the failure of USPS here, which is understandable with all the packages going out these days, Realsun's customer service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend them and will order from them again.
Great Customer Service!
My product was delivered a bit late, and after two weeks, the tracking number showed that it was still being packaged. I reached out to the seller, and it turned out that my shipment was delayed because of the Chinese New Year. Hedi replied to my message, and stated that all would be made right, and it most certainly was -- two days later, my product arrived, with shipping expedited at Wavlink's expense. It's great to see superb customer service like this, so I heartily recommend Wavlink and would not hesitate to buy from them again. Thanks again, Hedi! :-)
