CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-8500C5C G
CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-8500C5C G

Pros: Great memory at a great price from a great supplier. This memory worked with no problems at 1066 installed in GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard. Worked the first time with absolutely no issues. Have not tried oc'ing yet.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Not directly listed in the manufacturers approved list, but took a chance and it worked like a charm.

Pros: Everything looks great on this huge monitor. I love it. Dragon Age is sweet at full 1920x1080. Did I already say that I love this monitor.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 - Core 2 Quad Yorkfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 95W Processor - BX80580Q8400

Pros: Great processor. Have not oc'ed yet, but from other feedback, it looks like I will have some room to grow.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Based on some other reviews both here and elsewhere, I decided to add an after market cooler as I will want to oc this in the future. I went with ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler. It works like a charm and is super quiet. I get around 30-32C standing still under no load.

Sweet Power Supply

Sunbeam PSU-ECO750-US-BL 750 W ATX12V 2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Sunbeam PSU-ECO750-US-BL 750 W ATX12V 2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Great PS. Has all the cables you need and then some. It was difficult to find a PS on a low budget that supports high current necessary to meet graphic card manufacturer spec of 24A on a 12V rail. This one supports 30A on each of 2 12V rails all at a great price on a low budget. Has 6 SATA Power cables. More than enough for me. Oh, and BTW, this PS is very quiet. Great Buy!!

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Highly recommended.

Spectacular Case

Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is sweet. The tool-less design for the drives is very good, both the 3.5 and 5.25 slots. I love the PS on the bottom. It has intake for the PS from the bottom and blows out the back. It comes with 3 fans, one on the front, one on the back and one on the side. They are not speed controllable, but they are super quiet. I cannot hear them at all, even with the graphics card not installed (the graphics card has the loudest fan in the system). By the way, if you read the manual, you will see that the screws are included (more than you could possibly need, not sure that you actually need any with this tool-less design) in the case attached into the 5.25 in. cage.

Cons: The only con, even though it is tough to pick on something that you decided to buy anyway, is that the USB/speaker access is on the top of the case. My case sits in a pocket in my desk so they are not usable without pulling the case slightly out of the hole. Like I said, this is my problem really. I chose the case realizing this and due to a great combo with a hard drive that I couldn't pass up due to my budget for my system. Would be nice to have 2nd 5.25-to-3.5 converter or at least the option to purchase another one. The basic ones offered do not look like they would fit in toolless design or even support using screws.

Sweet Graphic Card on Budget

EVGA GeForce GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 01G-P3-1155-TR
EVGA GeForce GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 01G-P3-1155-TR

Pros: Great card. Not sure if Dragon is a good bench mark, but it runs at all graphics at the highest level maintaining upper 20s (in full battle or with lots of fire) to the 50s fps. I also have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 Yorkfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model. Nothing is overclocked at this point. Overall I am very pleased.

Cons: Fan is a little loud. It is the loudest fan in the system. However, it is still reasonable.

Overall Review: I would highly recommend this card if you are in the low-mid range budget.
