Functional
Pros: The biggest pro here is that even though the Intel 1610 isn't listed as compatible, this board still functions. So kudos to the firmware team.
Cons: None so far.
Questionable QC
Pros: None at the moment
Cons: DOA
Overall Review: If the manufacturer ever reads this, please check that QC at the factory making these does a better job.
Ivy Bridge Hit and Miss
Pros: I've order over 40 of these over the last yea for custom servers. They work great when you stick to sandy bridge cpu's only.
Cons: The woes of Ivy Bridge compatibility. For those wondering why you get that one board that just doesn't work with your new ivy bridge. And get a constant memory beep code, it's not your memory, it's the motherboard. To find out if the board you have can support ivy bridge cpu's look up the AAG in the bios system info. The caveat being if you have a spare sandy bridge cpu laying around to start it up to check in the first place. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-033076.htm Another note is if you do upgrade the bios and play musical cpu's the first POST will give you the above link if it's AAG is to old. Hope this helps others that just happen to get unlucky with an old batch.
