It's a bracket what can I say
Pros: Very simple to install. All the hardware and screws where there. It's a bracket, not a lot to mess up. I installed four SSD's using these brackets and they fit perfect.
Cons: nothing
Overall Review: When you swap drives to SSD you need these.
Faster than Me
Pros: I have a media server with over 50,000 songs and a comprehensive collection of old B&W movies. I cut the cord years ago. It is about 4 TB and isn't used for anything else, no Microsoft office or other applications. I converted all the spinning disk to SSD. The cloning went as planned, although long, and the total time for the physical conversion was less than an hour for all four drives. Everything works great. Much faster and completely transparent in operation.
Cons: Nothing that I experienced
Overall Review: Eventually spinning disk is going to go away except for deep archive and maybe back-ups. That is what I am using the old drives for. This is as good a product as I have experience for converting everything over.
Pavilion Replacement
Pros: Very light, fast, good value
Cons: 17" screen bigger than I expected (my issue), otherwise great
Overall Review: Replaced my previous Pavilion which I loved. I use it in my software business. It does everything I want for a business laptop. Upgraded to Windows 8.1 and added the classic start menu. The tiles aspect without touch screen is more of a bother. That is a Windows issue not HP. The 17" screen is wider which means it doesn't fit a standard briefcase as well. If you want an inexpensive laptop that will handle anything you need for school, home or office tis machine will do well. I'm not a gamer so I can say how well it would work for that. I do stream video from my media server, which works flawlessly. It has VGA, HDMI and three USB ports along with a micro card slot. That pretty much covers all of the bases in my business.
