Awesome Monitor!
Pros: Very sharp image and contrast. Has every imaginable cable you'll need to hook it up. This is the first time I've ever purchased a monitor and didn't have to buy the cables for it. Make sure you have an adequate video card to take advantage of the high resolution.
Cons: Absolutely none!
Overall Review: I purchased this monitor for my photo work, as well as video editing. The display blows me away! My old monitor was a real pain when it came to accurate color reproduction, as well as brightness and contrast. I'd have to be directly in front of the monitor to get any kind of accuracy. With this monitor, everything is spot on at a very wide range of viewing angles.
Perfect Laptop For My Wife!
Pros: Light weight, very portable, Long lasting battery. Really cool video track pad.
Cons: Wish I could’ve got it with more RAM.
Overall Review: Got this for my wife, she loves Pink, and I love Asus, so this was perfect for her. The video track pad looked gimmicky, but when I was able to use it for a while, I have to admit, it’s a really awesome feature! It’s very light, but also is very rugged, so if she drops it, it should survive, LOL!!! The only drawback is RAM, I wish I could’ve got more than the 8gig, 16gig would’ve been a much better fit. I’ll have to see if the RAM is upgradable. (Fingers crossed) Bottom line, it’s an awesome laptop, that my wife will enjoy for many years to come.
Perfect HD Security Camera!
Pros: Easy setup, Wireless or wired POE capable. Includes everything needed, including a power supply. Has hook ups for a speaker/mic module. (Sold separately) Weather/vandal proof all metal and thick clear protective dome make this the perfect remote location camera. Awesome 4k resolution, and beautiful contrast. Even the night vision works beautifully, making it easy to see bright and dark areas. You can select the motion detection areas via the phone app, as well as the NVR. The rage is awesome! While one is very close (10 Feet), the other is quite a ways away (80 Feet) and it has never lost the signal.
Cons: So far (6 Weeks) there have been no issues with the camera. I guess if I was pressed for a con, it would be that it's much easier to set up the cameras via a direct ethernet connection via ethernet cable. Once it's set up, it's easy to add the camera to any device wirelessly, but it was kind of a hassle. You can set it up wirelessly, but you must have a mic/speaker module hooked up to it, so it can communicate with the phone app. Without the module, paring won't work wirelessly, because the phone emits a special tone that the camera must pick up, in order to successfully pair...
Overall Review: Purchased 2 of these cameras, and an Amcrest NVR. The entire system was a breeze to set up, and has worked flawlessly for the last 6 weeks. While I haven't utilized it, the cameras have SD card slots, to keep recordings right on the camera. I might get some SD cards later as a backup to the NVR, just in case something ever happens to it. Amcrest also has an affordable cloud service, but I went with an NVR for on site recording. I really like the fact you can install this either as a wireless, or wired POE camera. I have a speaker/mic module hooked up to it, and it works perfectly. It makes it nice when I'm not home, or while at home, and want to screen visitors. It's nice to interact with the delivery person via the speaker/mic, to let them know where to place the package. It came in handy for me just the other day. I got an alert on my carport, and when I checked it, someone was snooping around, looking at my mower, and other things. I activated the speaker, and asked them what they thought they were doing. They jumped about a foot in the air, almost fell, and took off running, LOL! Bottom line, this is an awesome camera!
Supercharge Your PS4!!!
Pros: This is a MUST, if you play any kind of online open world games!
Cons: Absolutely NONE!!!
Overall Review: I play Red Dead Redemption 2 & Fallout 76. Before getting this drive, load times were like molasses... After installing the drive, my mind has been blown as to the speed of load screens! Now that SSD's price points are down, it's time! Plus, if you're going to get a PS5 in the distant future, from what I've seen and read, it's going to have a really cheesy SSD RAID thing going on. This drive will be going into mine when I get it, because I have a bad feeling the way Sony is going to make the PS5 more affordable is by slaving a small SSD to a HDD, thus creating a bottleneck, and slowing the performance of the SSD way down. The best solution? Take out the goofy setup, and install a decent sized SSD, and eliminate the HDD alltogether!
BLAZING FAST! Perfect For PS4 Video File Transfers!
Pros: Getting 290~300+MB/s consistent transfer speeds! Less than 2 min to transfer a 60 min HD video clip from the PS4!
Cons: Only 231GB actual drive space...
Overall Review: I got this for an easy backup drive for my PS4, but it didn't work... The PS4 requires a minimum of 250 GB space for a backup drive, I figured @ 256 GB, the worst case scenario would be the drive only had around 252 GB, still well within the parameters of what the PS4 requires. Boy was I wrong! @ 231 GB, it's missing 25 GB! That's a LOT of missing storage if you ask me... I was getting ready to send it back for a refund, until I used it, WOW!!! This thing is blazing fast! While rated for 200MB/s transfer speed, I'm getting 290~320 MB/s consistently! I have a YouTube channel, and do gaming videos often. I have a SanDisk 3.0 USB stick I use to transfer videos from the PS4, and it averages about 9~12 min to transfer a 60 min clip. Before I boxed the ADATA up for a refund, I thought I'd try it out, WOW!!! It took 68 seconds to transfer a 60 min video file!!! While it cheated me out of 25 GB of storage, it made up for in blazing fast transfer speed! This is now my go to memory stick for PS4 video project!
Works on DirecTV Genie!
Pros: Pertaining to the HDD: Sturdy construction! Nice black finish! Ability to connect eSATA! Pertaining to the DirecTV Genie DVR: TONS of storage! Improved picture quality! Improved FF functionality!
Cons: Aggravating Blue activity light... All I had to do was put some black tape over it. The tape blends with the black panel, and makes the annoyance go away.
Overall Review: I got this specifically to replace the internal HDD in my DirecTV Genie HR44-200 DVR. ((Any replacement external HDD for the Genie MUST be eSATA! Nothing else works!)) It tripled the storage space, and for some reason, I'm still shaking my head on this, the picture quality is much better... The only thing I can think of is the Genie uses a small laptop HDD with a slow RPM. The HDD in this unit is 3.5, and I think 7200RPM. Also, the cache could be larger, enabling the system to to translate the data in a better, faster way. The FF seems to work allot better as well. But the wonderful thing is tripling the storage capacity of the Genie DVR. The higher picture quality is just icing on this awesome cupcake!
