Best bang for the buck
Pros: These are cards are still stellar performers even after all of these years. I would recommend these to anyone, especially at the price they are being offered at. I bought three of these for 69.99 each and dont have buyers remorse whatsoever. Not my first 8800GT but definitely the best. BFG rocks! Have 2 in SLI and got another one for whatever
Cons: One of them had a fan that didnt work when I opened it up and ended up overheating the card. I called up BFG and they gave me no problems and gave me an RMA #. The tech was really nice and professional and BFG has gained a lifetime customer from me. Im not going to take any eggs off for this because it can happen and the two cads I have now in SLI are amazing performance for the price. BFG is one of the best manufacturers out there and they back up their products without a doubt. Go BFG!
Overall Review: I highly recommend getting two of these cards for SLI and you will not be dissapointed. Sure a single, better card is the best choice, but at this price it's going to be hard to find similar performance.
Nice RAM
Pros: Nice RAM for the price. Very good set for the price and G.Skill is one of the best RAM manufacturers in the industry. Goes well with the black and red Katana board as well which is a plus
Cons: Newegg dropped the price a couple days after I purchased my set. Not really a con but it always seems to happen to me
Overall Review: Make sure you adjust the BIOS accordingly in the BIOS if you want it to run @1600MHz as most mobos recognize this RAM as 1333MHz.
Fast little CPU
Pros: This is one fast little CPU for the price. You cant go wrong with it. Its not the fastest CPU out there obviously but for the price/performance ratio its hard to beat.
Cons: I wish it didnt have the onboard graphics embedde in the chip as I never plan on using this but I guess its okay if you were not going to game with it. Not really a con per se but it would probably be cheaper for the consumers if Intel would offer this chip without the GPU.
Overall Review: I have never liked the push pins on the factory cooler but this one went on relatively easy. I was hoping to put my 212+ cooler on this but first I need to get a backplate for the 1156 socket as I ommited the plastic push pins on that cooler to accomodate screws on my 775 socket.
Worth every penny!
Pros: The Katana is a great board. The AMI BIOS takes a little getting used to but its not to complicated. Lots of OC options and very stable. Looks awesome in red and black and the knight rider lights on the bottom are a nice touch. Dont think about it just buy it.
Cons: None
Overall Review: The seven segment LED display is really nice and lets you know what the board is doing or helps you to troubleshoot problems if they should arise.
Decent case for the price and it's Antec!
Pros: Keeps your hardware cool, nice airflow. Lot's of room for upgrading. You just can't beat this case if your on a budget like most of us.
Cons: Somewhat flimsy paneling, very thin, but that might benefit it's heat dissipation.
Fast!
Pros: Kingston Hyper X is stable and quick. Improved my systems performance across the board. Love The blue heatsinks. Nice memory for the price, you cant beat it.
Cons: None! Nice RAM
Overall Review: Some boards default the memory to 1.8V @800MHz. You can set it to 1066 if your MOBO allows OC or runs at that speed. Also an OEM board will not allow you to adjust the settings to push this RAM to its full potential unless it runs at 1066.
