Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I build and repair computers as a side job and have used these cases in many, many builds. There are plenty of bays for hdd's or optical drives and has great air flow and is easy to hide unused or extra lengths of cables. Very solid construction and is very clean-looking...I've had no complaints from anyone I've built a system for using this case.

Cons: None...

Pros: Antec quailty and thought out design. Lot of screws and hardware, thumb connector screws all over. Front Filter. Up tp 6 fans, nice cooling air flow. So nice, it's my 2nd one in the Family.

Cons: None, None, None!

Overall Review: Already knowing this case I got this one for my daughters build. All my cases are Antec. No problems with quality, and Antecs support is tops if needed. They take care of their customers. You can look at expensive cases and they are nice, but you can spend less on this and have all the quality and cooling benefits of any case. The hardware makes setup and upgrades easy. Even though it's not a huge case, it fits larger CPU coolers. I don't think anyone can say a bad word about this case. You will feel like you also have an awesome case owning this one.

Pros: Nice sleek looks and comes with 2 fans with 3 pins to connect to motherboard. Interior has plenty of room and places to hide wiring. It’s possible to have a very clean and customized look, but a couple of additional holes need to be created to better hide the wiring. The power supply is at the bottom, which gives room at the top for a top facing fan.

Cons: Wire and cable management could be slightly better, but it’s still good compared to many other cases.

Overall Review: This is my fourth Antec 300 case that I’ve purchased over the years and I’ve been satisfied with each purchase.

Pros: - Cheap price for a nice case. Have built a few systems using these cases... the thumbscrews come in handy. - SSD mounts to the bottom of the case.

Pros: 6 internal HDD bays, 4 places for 120mm fans, plus bigger top fan. Bottom PSU.

Cons: Length is a little shallow, but then again, the RAID card I purchased is huge - 12.3" long. I had to cut into the HDD area for it to fit. The other thing is that 38mm deep fans will not fit in the front fan spots, you need 25mm deep fans.

Pros: Based on online reviews, mainly through Newegg, I chose this case for features, quality, cost and cooling ability. I was not a bit disappointed. I was rebuilding the kid's gaming PC's and their current 'rad' cases were running hot, and loud. They need a bit of 'bling', but a couple of LED fans on the front of this case kept them happy (the Antec tri-Cool fans are great). This is a very well-built case with no sharp edges, the quality is high with no problem-tapped holes and was by far the easiest build I have made - I do a couple a year. If you want to mount two 120 mm fans up front, there are only three 5-1/4 external bays that can be used - up top. If you want full cooling capacity, you can add 2 120MM fans on the front and 1 120 mm. fan on the side panel. This arrangement is quiet (if fans are set on low) and has reduced the ambient case temp 12 C from the previous case. The CPU temp dropped 7 C. You will want to mount the PSU upside down, otherwise it will strain for intak

Overall Review: continued.. My ULTRA 750 PSU fit precisely and was not a problem. They have several mounting options for PSU's. No funky 'easy mount' drive cages, but I am a fan of using tools - a huge bag of thumbscrews was included. Great cable mgt. options. No struggle with case sides. Finish good. Buttons not cheap. I simply cannot find a biiiiiaaaach with this case. Please take the time to add reviews here, because a lot of people - like me - take your advise.

Pros: I'm not really into "the look" of a case. Crazy lighting and awkward designs tend to only distract me. This case disappears with the lights off. Plenty of space for everything, including an 11" video card. The fans it comes with are much better than I expected. I had purchased fans to replace them (typically what the less expensive cases produce), and ended up using the extra fans on the front and side. Great design and a well constructed, sturdy product. Would recommend.

Cons: These cons always seem so trivial. The USB ports on the front and top are great for my use, but I've caught some wiring in my DVD tray a few times when I'm not paying attention. The power supply on the bottom of the case was no problem for me, but I could see it being a problem with certain mobo's or psu's depending on location of wiring.

Overall Review: When I was shopping this PC, I picked this case purely based on its design/look. I was concerned about the price because typically "you get what you pay for" when it comes to retail electronics. This case had everything I needed and leaves me wondering what a case twice the price has, that justifies the difference.

Pros: I've used dozens of Antec cases over the last 15+ years of computer building. My personal powerhouse is still using an Antec full tower I bought 10 years ago, which has been the only part that I've carried forward for 3 separate computer builds now. And yet, as much as I love that old Antec steel full tower, the Antec 300 manages to trump it in every possible way and for less than half the price I paid for this beast a decade ago. The Antec 300 cleaner, cooler, and quieter than my old full tower. Yet, it still provides more room, and can hold more drives. And to put the cherry on top, the Antec 300 is, hands-down, the best looking case I have ever used to-date. The mesh front is not only functional, but stylish. The easy to access usb, mic, and headphone ports on the front are solid and reliable. Good work Antec, you've outdone yourself. I don't know how you could ever top a case like this, but I know one day you will. Somehow.

Cons: The only thing this case is missing are some holes on the inside to run wires behind the motherboard. I managed to route the cables very cleanly by utilizing other channels, but a few well-placed holes on the motherboard tray would make this a 6-egg case!

Overall Review: The case includes a 140mm top fan, and 120mm rear fan. For the large majority of users, even most gamers, this should be all you need. There is room for 2 more 120mm fans in the front, as well as one on the side, but these are completely unnecessary IMO. Here is my recommendation: Keep the stock two fans running on low or medium, high seems excessive. BLOCK the hole for the side fan, which will do two things: 1) prevent dust from entering and 2) force all of the air to be pulled in from the front of the case, thereby creating a perfect channel of airflow through your case. If you do this, you can actually feel the cold air being sucked in through the front of the case with your hand, it's amazing! I just used a piece of cardboard and clear packing tape to block the side fan. No need to waste your money and create unnecessary noise by installing tons of fans. Smart airflow is more effective than excessive airflow, always remember that!
