Good Gaming Monitors

Acer GD235HZbid Black / Orange 23.6" HDMI Widescreen 1080p NVIDIA LCD 120Hz 3D Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 80000:1
Acer GD235HZbid Black / Orange 23.6" HDMI Widescreen 1080p NVIDIA LCD 120Hz 3D Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 80000:1

Pros: I didn't buy these through newegg but through cheetah deals as refurbs for 180 bucks shipped (i bought 3 for nvidia surround) They are still working beautifully after about one and half years. no dead pixels. its a solid if basic 120hz 3d 1080p monitor

Cons: -largish angled bezels, not conducive for multiple displays -slight bleed from top and bottom -color depth is weak (lcds are weak in general) -still makes me miss my 16:10 Sony GDM-FW900 widescreen CRTs

Overall Review: I wouldn't pay 300 bucks for these monitors today.

half-baked product

AZiO AWU111N Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 150Mbps Wireless Data Rates
AZiO AWU111N Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 150Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: -Cheap -Small -Blinks Blue

Cons: -Azio has no drivers for AWU111N on their site for download?! -poor connection range -poor peformance even when in close range -realtek drivers are poorly designed with strange placement of options and features.

Overall Review: wait for a driver update IF it it'll ever happen.

Flawed water block or application of paste, will return.

ASRock AQUA Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card RX7900XTX AQ 24GO
ASRock AQUA Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card RX7900XTX AQ 24GO

Pros: looks nice, has RGB everywhere.

Cons: junction delta temperatures way too high for water. 40-50c plus between gpu and junction temps at stock clocks. I typically waterblock air cooled cards, decided to get one pre installed this time. I have run a pelthora of water cooling gpus (GTX 480, 290X, 6900 XT) in my lifetime and this is the worst I have seen.

Overall Review: either the waterblock is not sufficient enough to keep this card cooled or there is poor application of OEM paste. either way, I paid a premium for the factory to do the work and have come up very dissatified, will be returning.

Lol, still kicking

Rosewill RP550V2-D-SL 550 W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: was able to SLI two 8800 GTs I bought in 2007. It outlived both nvidia cards that died. two fans for resiliency

Cons: sorta loud by todays standard with the two smallish fans.

Overall Review: I wish power supplies lasted as long as this one!!

Feels like a quality piece of white gold, amazing build quality compared to the plastic RTX gas burners look.

SAPPHIRE Radeon VII 16GB HBM2 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card 21291-01-40G
SAPPHIRE Radeon VII 16GB HBM2 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card 21291-01-40G

Pros: the shill reviewers lied, this card runs quiet and super cold. my quieter and colder then the blower vegas... FPS is through the roof compared to my Vega 64s. I snagged another one from amd.com and will run MGPU. I cannot wait. 16GB of VRAM HBM2, 1 TERABYTE of memory bandwidth. the must stutter free card I have ever used. 2080ti and TItan have nothing on this beast when it comes the memory subsystem. AMD released another driver today. amazing driver support lately from AMD> the 2019 edition is amazing. it took less then 1 min to install the driver, they keep getting more efficient. AMD is on a roll.

Cons: still a few niggly issues with freesync. they need to fix flicker on some freesync monitors.

Overall Review: far and away the most impressive AMD graphics product this century. they really surprised a lot of people with a 2080 competitor so soon. AMD is back to high level gaming graphics!!!!

After 4 years of 24/7 usage

PowerColor LCS Radeon R9 290X 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card AXR9 290X 4GBD5-WMDH/OC
PowerColor LCS Radeon R9 290X 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card AXR9 290X 4GBD5-WMDH/OC

Pros: Still running strong in my triple Crossfire setup no leaks converted to mining Cryptonight 24/7 (running Vegas 64s now), no issues with memory overclocked to 1500, Runs below 60c in non AC environment.

Cons: minor niggle, but the card is narrow enough to be single slot, but has dual slots because of video inputs.
