Pros: Fast, when it doesn't lock up.
Cons: Caps lock comes on all the time, even if you hit shift, touch screen freezes, mouse freezes all the time, 128GB SSD is about 50GB free after windows and recovery partitions.
Overall Review: I love Lenovo, but this thing is garbage. Newegg was awesome with the return.
Pros: Fast, DVD drive, etc,.
Cons: I really wanted to point out to people that this thing gets finger prints all over it, the material absorbs the oil in your hand, it gets messy fast. But it is a nice laptop.
Pros: I installed this board and everything was fine, then I plugged in a flash drive into the front USB ports and it hard shut off. After case swaps, different devices, etc. it kept happening. Replaced with an MSI board works fine. RMA to biostar explaining the issue, get the board back it does the same thing.
Cons: Biostar RMA
Overall Review: I hate when these companies don't read your RMA, they see that it POSTs and they send it back. I will never buy another Biostar product, because their warranty is a waste of time. I'm throwing this board in the trash, no point in paying shipping to get my board sent back with the same problems.
Pros: Very inexpensive, lots of room for hardware, can fit two 120mm fans on the front and top, SSD mount, comes with rear fan, solid construction for the money, good cable management, very attractive without being gaudy.
Cons: 1 USB 3.0 on front, other is 2.0, no standoffs on case they are fixed mounts (not that my board had a problem), a pain to take off the front cover to put in a fan.
Overall Review: I don't see how you can go wrong at this price.
Pros: I have ordered two of these and have no issues. Very fast, upgraded graphics, nice USB 3.0 headers on the front.
Cons: Windows 8, laptop DVD drive.
Pros: I built 10 PCs with these cases and had little issue. They are a little weird to build with, but once you get it down everything fits in nice and it's pretty solid. The PSU seems ok, though it has a special power cable because the PSU is in the front. If you are trying to build some workstations cheap, these are a good choice.
Cons: Trying to line the DVD drive up perfectly is a little tough. Once you get one or two installed and you realized any mistakes you made, they work well.
Pros: The hardware is solid enough to play almost every new game with no issues. There is a decent amount of internal storage plus a microSD slot. The best feature besides the price is an easy upgrade to ICS!
Cons: Buttons feel cheap, but for $129 who cares.
Pros: This is a great machine to use for general home use or a business workstation. It runs great, and Lenovo makes high quality machines. The motherboard also has 4 memory slots. And as with most new machines, you can run Word and Excel starter for free.
Cons: 32-bit windows. I don't know if there is an option to restore using 64-bit, but with memory being so cheap, it is a shame you can't use more than 3-4GB visible.
Overall Review: A great machine for a parent, student, etc. This computer and an LCD will run you about $380 at the time of this review, and that's a much better deal than the ol' Wally World special.
Pros: Inexpensive, detachable antennas, versatile, good signal.
Cons: None so far, took a while to figure out setup as repeater.
Overall Review: HOW TO USE AS A REPEATER ON A WIRELESS-G ROUTER/ACCESS POINT: 1. Set your original router to WEP 64-bit encryption (if it isn't already). 2. Log into the router, set wireless as "Universal Repeater" and use "survey" to select your access point. 3. Reboot. 4. Set WEP and passwords. 5. Reboot. 6. Enjoy. I have two repeating each other off a verizon router. Very good range.
Pros: I built a customer a gaming PC for as cheap as I could, I got this CPU instead of the quad to save some money. Wasn't I surprised when I figured on on the Biostar A880GU3 motherboard that you can hit F3 on boot to enable the third core in the BIOS, then reboot and hit F4 to get the fourth core. The board was like $65 too! It ran very well and got a Win7 rating of like 7.6 with the four cores.
Cons: It's not an intel, which means no intel chipset on the motherboard. But that's nitpicking, I am impressed with the price and performance, especially if you can unlock the four cores.
Overall Review: Not bad AMD, not bad.
Pros: Easy setup, good battery life, decent speaker and mic.
Cons: Sometimes won't connect to my phone, have to restart device and toggle bluetooth on and off on my Droid. Also, if you don't want bluetooth music on your Droid, you have to hit your menu button on your phone in the bluetooth settings and disable music.
Overall Review: After buying this, I think I should have just bought an ear piece. However, works as described, I use it as a speakersphone.
Pros: Great design and performance
Cons: Recommend removing all 3rd part software
Overall Review: Good price and performance. Disregard previous review stating only comes with 4 gigs of memory and can only be upgraded to 8 gigs total. 4 gigs of memory is more than enough for this system and has very good performance at that.
Pros: Easy installation
Overall Review: Disregard negative comments. Buy with confidence.
Pros: I found this blu ray player on sale and its pretty nice. It has the PS3 dashboard which I am used it.
Cons: I purchased it for my father in law thinking it could connect to his wifi and do netflix. Then I realized all it had was an ethernet jack and you had to buy the adapter. Come on, how much does it cost to snap a WIFI chip into the MB, $3?
Pros: Very thin, great picture, decent price.
Paid $2400 at best buy, newegg has it cheaper.
Cons: 1. After 8 days of use, the TV screen went completely white, it would come back for a few minutes, then go out again.
2. Very limited ports, one component/composite shared, no VGA in or RCA audio out.
3. Because it is an LED edge-lighted screen, the light "spotlights" from the corners when the screen is dark.
4. Way too much money for what you get.
5. Wasn't a fan of the "120Hz", I turned it off and used the standard settings.
Overall Review: I took it back and got a Panasonic 58S1 plasma for $800 less and so far have been very happy. I would recommend the LG Full LED 240Hz model which is usually cheaper over this one. It's not a bad TV, I just had a bad experience with it. I feel that gaming is a lot smoother on a Plasma.
Pros: I have this same model, except with the 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo and a GT 210 512mb DDR3. The laptop is very fast and it has a lot of great features, like a dedicated graphics card and DDR3 memory. I special ordered mine with a white base and bluetooth and got almost this same model cheaper with a promotion code from IBM, but this one is still a great deal. If you want an inexpensive gaming system or a fast laptop in general, it's hard to beat. I can play Modern Warfare 2 with a lower graphics card than whats in this model. I ordered this laptop to replace my unibody Macbook and this thing is a lot faster and a lot cheaper.
Cons: Cheap feeling keyboard, annoying beep when the battery is low, fingerprints show up very easy on the top.
Overall Review: Remove all the bloatware and clean it up and little and it runs great out of the box. I didn't even have to reinstall 7. There is also a one key recovery button that works very well.
Pros: COST EFFICIENT PRODUCT, WORKS GREAT FOR UNSECURED NETWORK WITH EXISTING NETGEAR WIRELESS ROUTER, BOOSTED SIGNAL FORM 0 BARS IN WINDOWS TO 5 BARS
Cons: HORRIBLE WEBUI FOR CONFIGURATION, HARD TO SETUP ON A SECURED NETWORK
Overall Review: IN MY SITUATION THERE WAS A NETGEAR RANGEMAX WIRELESS ROUTER BEING USED AND THIS PRODUCT BEING INSTALLED. WAS YOUR STANDARD PLUGNPLAY WITH SOME MINOR CONFIGURATION CHANGES FOR ENCRYPTION AND NETWORK NAME. WINDED UP HAVING TO RESET THE ROUTER TO FACTORY SETTINGS UNENCRYPTED JUST TO GET IT TO CONNECT. RENAMING THE NETWORK FROM THERE WAS NOT AN ISSUE, BUT THAN TRYING TO SETUP ENCRYPTION IT JUST DIDN'T WANT TO WORK AT ALL. TRIED USING EVERY ENCRYPTION SETUP POSSIBLE AND THE AP DID NOT WANT TO LET ME CONNECT AND GET OUT TO THE INTERNET. HAVEN'T EVEN BOTHERED TRYING TO CONTACT NETGEAR ABOUT IT AS TO WHERE THEY WILL HAVE ME DO THE SAME THING THAT I HAVE ALREADY ATTEMPTED. MY OVERALL RATING WOULD BE A ONE BASED ON THE CONFIGURATION THAT I WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THIS PRODUCT, BUT I GAVE IT A TWO STRICTLY BECAUSE OF HOW EASILY IT WAS TO SETUP ON AN UNSECURED NETWORK.
Pros: This is a nice NAS for the dough. TwonkyMedia Server, iTunes Server, FTP Server, HTTP Server (w/ ASPLite), File Server, Torrent/FTP/HTTP Downloader, User/Group Control all present and working. Fanless design keeps it quiet. Easy backup to USB drive. Printer/extra HDD sharing/expansion is nice, but I have not used it. Drive spin-down when not in use, and has a setting for the spin-down time.
Cons: Fanless design keeps it HOT. If you put a 7200 RPM or faster drive in this box, and keep it in a 65 Degree or hotter room, you may need to supply extra cooling or your drives will live a very short life. I took 2 CPU heatsinks and used Thermal Glue to glue them on the hot side. Now it runs very cool. Before this, it was too hot to handle while running!
Overall Review: Media servers need work. They are really only that (no filename/tag editing AFAICS. I have set 2 of these up and love them! Updating firmware is a must!
