NVIDIA CHIPSETS HAVE PROBLEMS

EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great board for overclocking with the upgraded bios. If you dont want to upgrade your bios or any other bios dont look at this board.

Cons: NVIDIA chipsets have problems. You may not see it immediately, but after gaming for a while or using video, there is video corruption. Just google, you will find the horror stories. That is mainly why these are 30 day return policy. I would not buy this board again. Dont believe the hype.

Overall Review: Newegg was kind enough to RMA a graphics card for me because I thought it was the card. EVGA is trying to blame it on the graphics card, which is one I took from another machine and worked fine there.

Nice Features and Very Upgradeable

CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with Carrying Handle and Windowed Side Panel - White
CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with Carrying Handle and Windowed Side Panel - White

Pros: Roomy case, psu on bottom, rubberized handle, removeable hdd rack. EXCELLENT CABLE MANAGEMENT! The white paint is very well done. It is a quality thick coat of paint! Gives a sick look if you like the white thing...kind of works if your dual booting with one of those fruity operating systems.

Cons: Heavy, but lends to stability.

Overall Review: This case was easy to assemble, had plenty of space for cable management. It breathes and looks great. It has a few plastic insert parts that can be removed for easy cleaning to filter dust. I've been building machines since the 1980's and it was a pleasure to work with. All of the newer space and heat considerations were there. Loaded a Asus Maximus V Gene, Tallest Zallman cooler I could find, and a 550 ti graphics card. It was like working on an old jeep, you could crawl inside this thing to work on it.

Where is the 5ghz

NETGEAR WNDR3700-100NAS V.5 Wireless Gigabit Open Source Router/ USB port Rangemax 2.4/5 GHz Simultaneous N600 Dual Band IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab
NETGEAR WNDR3700-100NAS V.5 Wireless Gigabit Open Source Router/ USB port Rangemax 2.4/5 GHz Simultaneous N600 Dual Band IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab

Pros: Software very similar to old Netgear units. Working on software effortlessly that needed me to open ports on older router... Running two consoles and PC gaming simultaneously...Speed is there, connectivity is there...I recommend it. Oh yeah, my son's IPOD Touch used to freak out my old router, but not this one...I assume it plays well with Apple products in general...you know how they can be...(yuck)

Cons: I have nothing that runs at 5ghz yet...Not the Xbox 360, the PS3, Nor the ol' Wii. Neither of my laptops have 5ghz either.

Overall Review: I hope that eventually I will be able to utilize the 5ghz.

STABILITY

Intel BOXDX48BT2 LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel BOXDX48BT2 LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This intel board is very stable with stock values in bios. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a no fuss system.

Cons: Processor appears to be running hot, but this is from my ancient case and need for increased airflow.

Overall Review: First build with intel. A breath of fresh air after dealing with EVGA problems.
