ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Lots of great features, very impressed with the quality of the board and the audio is great, haven't had a chance to try out the water cooling yet, but hope to soon

Cons: depending on your case i guess i have a Thermaltake Level 10 GTS and the Bigwater 760 Plus the pump pipe is set on the right side of the case and butts up against the RAM so cannot be used. the Bigwater 760IS, looks like it MAY work as the ports are on the left side of the case instead of the right so it would go over the RAM and not through it.

Bad Cisco

Linksys EA4500 App Enabled N900 Dual-Band Wireless Router with Gigabit and USB
Linksys EA4500 App Enabled N900 Dual-Band Wireless Router with Gigabit and USB

Pros: Looks like it should be fast

Cons: This is nothing but a shameless attempt to cash in on the popularity of cloud computing, and it comes at a price. The Terms and Conditions of using the Cisco Connect Cloud state that Cisco may unilaterally shut down your account if finds that you have used the service for “obscene, pornographic, or offensive purposes, to infringe another’s rights, including but not limited to any intellectual property rights, or… to violate, or encourage any conduct that would violate any applicable law or regulation or give rise to civil or criminal liability.” It then continues “we reserve the right to take such action as we (i) deem necessary or (ii) are otherwise required to take by a third party or court of competent jurisdiction, in each case in relation to your access or use or misuse of such content or data. Such action may include, without limitation, discontinuing your use of the Service immediately without prior notice to you, and without refund or compensation to you.”

Overall Review: Update: A Cisco rep points out that Cisco has since changed its privacy policy. However, the current policy reserves the right to change it back. The current policy also allows Cisco to discontinue your access to your router if you download pornographic material , or if someone complains about you, without a court order, evidence or a chance to state your case and face your accuser. They have also provided users with a way to back out of the "cloud management" "feature." But, as noted, Cisco still reserves the right to change how your router works, even if you set it not to accept automatic updates.

will not XMP

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-19200CL11Q-16GBZHD

Pros: works fine when used at default speed

Cons: when XMP is turned on in the BIOS the system will freeze and BSOD within in an hour or 2 you can only fit 1 of the 2 cooling fans that came with RAM. Called support and was given no steps to troubleshoot and when i asked about RMA they will not cross ship. i cannot be without my computer for a week or more.

Rebate Ripoff

Thermaltake Level 10 Series Level 10 GTS Black SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Thermaltake Level 10 Series Level 10 GTS Black SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This is my second Level 10 case and am pleased with it. Buy this case because you like the design features and not because its cheap because of a rebate. you WILL NOT GET IT.

Cons: weak sata jacks on the EASYSWAP PITSTOP 4 HDD BAYS. great idea but they will snap with little effort.

Overall Review: Rebates from thermaltake seem to be a joke, they go out of their way to deny your claim even though all paper work is correct and filed ontime. This is not thermaltakes fault persay as they use a third party company to process their rebates but it is their fault for using a very bad company to do this and make no effort to resolve any rebate issues other than to say to contact the rebate company who again do all they can to deny you the advertised $25.00 rebate. this to me is theft or at least fraud on both thermaltake's and the rebate companies part. i just want my $25.00

Beware with an ASUS Maximus V formula

Thermaltake CLW0211 Bigwater 760 Plus Dual Bay Drives Water Cooling Core i7 Compliant
Thermaltake CLW0211 Bigwater 760 Plus Dual Bay Drives Water Cooling Core i7 Compliant

Pros: seems like a good concept but was unable to get to work with my motherboard

Cons: when used with the ASUS Maximus V formula the pump inlet/outlet sticks out and butts up right again the RAM slots so you cannot connect the water hose to it

Thermaltake Level 10 Series Level 10 GTS Black SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Lots of cable management space, good look to it

Cons: alot of plastic SATA ports on the drive bays are weak, if you use these i recommend saving this operation until the very last as i didn't and 3 of the 4 SATA connectors snapped off with little to no pressure
