Well Worth The Investment!

Pros: Cool and quiet 40nm chip. Overclocks well beyond 5870 specs, 1GHz is possible but stock settings are enough for me at this point in time. Came packed with Dirt 2, a fantastic DirectX 11 game. The most power efficient GPU on the market. MSRP of $269 is a terrific price point. Dirt 2, Dragon Age: Origins, MW2, TF2, L4D, L4D2, Borderlands, Dawn of War 2, Devil May Cry 4, Far Cry 2, Street Fighter IV and Torchlight all play wonderfully at my LCD's native resolution of 1680x1050 with the in game settings maxed out. Overall I'm extremely happy with this card and a free copy of Dirt 2 was a great bonus. This card is way too sexy to strip down to add a third party cooler or water-block.
Cons: Online price gouging. Early adopter blues (using Catalyst 9.12 HOTFIX drivers until the 10.1 drivers drop) but that is the nature of the business and our hobby. Water can look pixelated in Resident Evil 5.

A Fantastic PSU!

Pros: This PSU worked flawless out of the box. I purchased to replace a non modular Corsair PSU. 12 year warranty is fantastic and shows Seasonic stands behind their products.
Cons: No cons.
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

Pros: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (32-bit) runs great on this notebook, be sure to leave the Ethernet cable plugged in during the CD install as Ubuntu automatically downloads updates during installation.
Cons: The tsunami of bloatware that took me almost two hours to remove from Windows 7.
Overall Review: I'm going to buy a 320GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0 HDD to replace the 160GB 5200RPM SATA 150 HDD.
An great price point for a powerful video card.

Pros: I play tested the games listed below at a native resolution of 1680x1050 with all the graphical settings maxed out and got absolutely great frames, the only exception was "Crysis" which I had to set to HIGH. Play tested (DX10/10.1 & x64 where possible) -->> Assassins Creed, Burnout Paradise, Company of Heroes, Crysis, Crysis: Warhead, Dawn of War 2, Devil May Cry 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Team Fortress 2, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X (DX10.1 demo) and Unreal Tournament 3. Intelligent power management. Good temps at idle and load. Acceptable fan noise at default setting. Overall, I'm extremely pleased and love this card in Vista x64 and Ubuntu 8.10 x64, the card installed in both installations without any hiccups. Ubuntu 8.10 x64 offered drivers ready to install upon first booting of the OS and they work great.
Cons: No waterblocks available for this card, only rumors on forums. Fans are ridiculously loud at manual high settings.

Spartan, spacious and at a great price point.

Pros: Still spacious even with the humongous Radeon 4850 X2 2GB installed. Even more amazing is there is room for my pump and the tubing clears the video card and drive bays with ease. I absolutely love the fact that you can mount a radiator in the ceiling of this chassis, that's the reason I made my purchase.
Cons: You have to use a silly PSU adapter that comes with the chassis to use the touch sensitive power button. I for one like to have a continuous cable running from the PSU's 24-pin connector straight to the motherboard 24-pin connector with no breaks in the line.

Compatible with Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4

Pros: The DIMMs were recognized instantly in my new Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4 Motherboard and the SPD data was correctly reflected in the BIOS.
Cons: You can not use more than four DIMMs with the GA-MA790X-UD4. Gigabyte please correct me if I'm wrong and reply quick so I can buy a second kit.
