I guess I missed it - Does this mount to the top or the bottom of a case? - Mine is / will be Bottom mounted - Have not seen that specified. 
==> If Bottom mounted do I mount it upside down to get the correct air flow?

If your case has a window at the bottom which is either filtered or unfiltered then mount the PSU with fan pointing to the bottom. This will the best choice since it will pull the air from outside versus inside the case which will be warmer. Otherwise if you don’t have that window you would mount with the fan pointing up so it gets air from inside the case.

Question 2

The 750 W PSU has 6 pcie/cpu slots, on the description the box includes " 2 x CPU (4/8 pins) and 4 x PCIe (6/8 Pins). Can I use one of the cpu 4/8 pins to power a graphics card? Or can I use one of my spare 8 pin connectors and use that to power my extra card for mining instead. Would that be safe? The total power output should be 650-700 w.

Yes, you can use one of the extra included  4/8 pins to power a graphics card. I certainly did. Even after everything was installed there were still extra pcie slots and cables that went back the box to be saved for future needs.

What has changed since SSR-*50TD? How are these TRs better or worse than the TDs?

If I remembered correctly the main difference is that the new model included a "PSU tester" (but it's just a jumper cap for the 24 pin that connects the green and black wires, and the jumper is made from two pieces of wire terminals cut from a reel which can break easily), and "compatibility with sata 3.3 power disable feature" (by including a molex 4-pin to sata adapter so the 3.3V pins aren't powered).

Will this work using Seasonic Focus Gold PSU cables? As in disconnect the old cables, unbolt PSU, bolt in this one, then reconnect the cables.

I have both types of power supplies. I did not see any difference in the cables. They look identical.

Question 7

In the specs, I only see over-voltage protection, whereas much cheaper PSU's show over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and short circuit protection. Does this not have those extra safety features, or are they not really necessary?

Does anyone know if this is compatible with Dell XPS desktops (specifically an XPS 8930)?  I've heard Dell's have extra pins and such so they are not compatible with non Dell PSU's

Open it up and look. I doubt people buying this PSU use Dell machines. The may not be your full issue though because (and I dont know for sure) I think Dell uses customized cases that dont always allow for nice neat swapping of parts.
