Breath of life in my AGP machine

Leadtek GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 AGP 8X Graphics Card WinFast A7600GT TDH 256MB
Leadtek GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 AGP 8X Graphics Card WinFast A7600GT TDH 256MB

Pros: I bought this card to add another year or two to my AGP machine. This card is just great! I didn't want to spend the money on an x1950 as that is just too much money to invest in the AGP platform these days. This card with its rebate price was just what I needed. I can play many of my favorites in 1600x1200, and the really new games still look great at 1024x768 or 1280x1024. Another bonus: My DVD's look way better with the PureVideo enhancements, using Cyberlink PowerDVD. A VERY noticeable improvement. I have not bothered to overclock this card, nor do I have any intention to. I feel no need to get an extra 3 FPS in my games.

Cons: The games that were included in the retail box were garbage. I was expecting Serious Sam, but ended up with some junk. Didn't even bother to take the cd out of its sleeve.

Overall Review: Newegg is the best. Shipping took one day longer than I had hoped, but the layout of Newegg's website, the informative product pages, and with its power search and advanced search feature is second to none! That is why I've been shopping at Newegg for over seven years, and purchased over ten thousand dollars worth of products from them. Keep up the good work!

Most Critical Review

I don't know why I was the lucky one

Comments: First, 10 stars for Newegg, b/c they are frikkin awesome. 0 stars for this mobo. the first one I got BSOD and randomly restarted consistently from the git go. I RMA'd it and got a replacement 2 weeks later, and guess what? SAME THING! I build and maintain computers for a living and have never had to fight with new hardware as much as this. Everyone else seems to love this mobo, and I would've too had it worked I'm sure. (and yes, I systematically ruled out all of the other components) I am utterly dissapointed by my experiences with this mobo.

Awesome!

Rosewill RC-210 Silicon Image Internal SATA / External eSATA Low Profile Ready PCI Controller Card
Rosewill RC-210 Silicon Image Internal SATA / External eSATA Low Profile Ready PCI Controller Card

Pros: Works great in Windows XP and the new Windows7 RC. I have this plugged into my old socket 478 mobo and suprisingly enough, my hard drive is hot swappable. Great product!

Cons: Adds a delay during bootup like all add in cards. I can't stand that.

Overall Review: So far, can't see any way to access the BIOS for this card if there is one. My last add in card had a cntrl+H option. Perhaps b/c it doesn't support raid? Newegg shipping was so fast that I almost got whiplash from it!

Great Product

Rosewill RX-358 V2 SLV - Silver, 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA External Enclosure with Internal 80 mm Fan
Rosewill RX-358 V2 SLV - Silver, 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA External Enclosure with Internal 80 mm Fan

Pros: Sturdy, well built, packaged well, included all cables, feels like a quality product, does exactly what I wanted it to. eSATA is working great for me, and suprisingly, it's hot swappable on my older computer. I have a 1TB Hitachi drive in this enclosure. Newegg shipping was so fast, that I think they shipped it through a wormhole or a rift in the time space continuum.

Cons: It's not black. I wanted the black anodized version, but it was ten smackers more at the time. This enclosure could really use 2 additional items: 1) a stend to give it extra support for standing on its side. 2) Rubber feet.

Overall Review: I am trying to longer buy any external enclosures that don't support eSATA. This one is really great. I don't think every enclosure needs a fan, but since I was planning on leaving this one on long term (not just for backups) I wanted one with a fan.

Comments: NEWEGG ROCKS!!! they had this cpu at my door in less time than I thought. Of course they always do. I've been purchasing from Newegg for over 1.5 years already. This cpu did 3.01 Ghz without breaking a sweat. I'll continue to push it to see how far I can get. At this point in time, Athlons are th poorer choice, b/c the athlon64 is already out so the standard athlon is at the end of the road. The pentium4 still has life left in it. When the extreme editions come out, they will still fit in your current mobo. Thanks Newegg.
