Solid, fast, nothing fancy
Pros: Started up without a wimper. I love the American Megatrends EZ bios screen (you can still do all your o/c tweaking in the advance mode). Remember, this is an "express" board, which means you won't get as many cables, wireless wi-fi adapter, and all the extra hardware that comes in the pro or deluxe models. But the price is great if you don't need all that extra hardware. The board is still the same. If you want to hook up your 8 channel audio speakers, you might want to look for a board with more speaker inputs. This one is limited (but still works fine with my 5.1 speakers). I'm running it with 32gb of G.Skill memory, and Intel i5-3350. Cool running, and not a hiccup so far.
Cons: The board has 6 onboard SATA plugs: 2 are 6Gb, and 4 are 3Gb transfer. I wish they would have added 2 more SATA plugs.
Overall Review: I'm really pleased.
Buggy in Windows 8
Pros: Inexpensive, and will do all your basic CD and DVD burning.
Cons: There was a $20 rebate, which I bought before the expiration date. But it arrived the day after the expiration date...dang! I installed this on Windows 8, and it did not work good at all. Buggy, buggy, buggy, glitchy, glitchy, glitchy. I reinstalled Windows 7, and it works flawlessly. But I went back to my good ol' trusty Nero 7, which is still the best all-around version of Nero.
Don't buy it
Pros: nice looking, and has SATA
Cons: failed after a few months...heed what almost everyone is reporting about this drive, and do not buy it. You have better odds at winning the lottery than having this drive work for you after a while.
Very cheap
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: The instructions are unclear, and the legs are not welded straight. Dang, they were a bear to try to install straight. When I got finished, the legs wouldn't fold down. They were just too crooked when welded.
