Awesome Enclosure

EAGLE ET-CS2PESU2-BK 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure with built-in USB cable
EAGLE ET-CS2PESU2-BK 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure with built-in USB cable

Pros: It works as advertised!!! Compact, Reliable. I've had this for about about 1.5 years and it has never given me an ounce of trouble. The eSata port is extremely convenient and SO much faster than USB 2,0. It spends a lot of time just stashed in a box or computer bag (I am not particularly careful with it), but it always works when I need it.

Cons: like others have mentioned, it would be nice to have an AC power adapter with it, but to be honest, when your using a laptop. I count myself lucky to find an AC outlet for my laptop when I'm on the road.

Overall Review: not sure of the 1.5 Gbyte HDD jumper issue (don't rightly remember) but even at half speed it sure beats the pants off USB 2.0 speed. I don't understand the "upside down USB connector" issue. It is on a cable and the drive can be turned upside down and still work fine if it bothers you.

Excellent Drive

Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It's Much faster than the 5400 rpm drive that came with my laptop. The only difficulties I had with the drive had to do with cloning my original drive to it. The drive itself gave me no problems at all.

Cons: It wasn't cheaper... Bigger... none to speak of

Overall Review: I haven't noticed any heat from the vicinity of the hard drive, but I haven't run any disk intensive games or programs on it. I have only bought WD drives over the past several years and I haven't been disappointed yet.

It Works as Advertised !!!

EAGLE ET-CS2PESU2-BK 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure with built-in USB cable
EAGLE ET-CS2PESU2-BK 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure with built-in USB cable

Pros: Small, aluminum, E-Sata. I put my old Laptop Drive in, plugged in the E-Sata Cable then the attached USB cable (for power), windows Vista 64 Premium found it immediately. I've never noticed it get very hot at all. I've used it off and on for about 3 months now and it still works perfectly. Fantastic enclosure.

Cons: mmm.... Uhhhh..... It didn't come with an AC power adapter?!?!? one could be convenient to free up the USB port used to power it up. I just bought a USB hub for all the extra "toys" I wanted to plug in.

Overall Review: Just a very nice Drive Enclosure.

Awesome Monitor

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers
ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: My wife keeps saying "It's Ginormous!", comparing it to her old 19" standard format monitor. Great Bargain, I bought an "Open Box" unit. Shipped fast (as usual for newegg). Monitor was in great shape worked right out of the box. Only using VGA input for now. This monitor was for my wife, (very non techie) and she loves it so far. The Single button screen size adjustment was great. it even came with VGA, DVI, and cable to connect monitor to computer speaker output jack.

Cons: It didn't come with an HDMI cable, but I don't really count that against it since I wasn't expecting it to come with any video cables at all.

Overall Review: Haven't checked out the speakers, perhaps never will. The HDMI input would allow her to hook up a DVD player to watch a movie if she wants to.

One Awesome Cooler

Scythe SCASM-1000 120mm Sleeve Andy Samurai Master CPU Cooler
Scythe SCASM-1000 120mm Sleeve Andy Samurai Master CPU Cooler

Pros: This is a HUGE Cooler. Dropped my Stock Cooler temps by only about 5deg C at idle, but lowered my peak load temps by at least 15deg C. Very Quiet,

Cons: As others have said... it is huge! install can be very frustrating, best done with mainboard removed from case.

Overall Review: I am very impressed with this heat sink. I am building a new PC for a home server and after further research I find that while not the most efficient or silent, it is certainly VERY efficient and very quiet, and still top on my list for my new system.

Excellent Monitor

SAMSUNG 2253BW Black 22" 2ms(GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 300 cd/m2 DC 8000:1
SAMSUNG 2253BW Black 22" 2ms(GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 300 cd/m2 DC 8000:1

Pros: Excellent Monitor... Great Price... Fast free shipping!! Very big, Wife is jealous! My cats love it too! I was afraid of the stability after reading all the reviews, but even on my less than solid desk it I've never noticed it move as I use my computer, unless I intentionally hit the desk. Very bright display, colors are excellent.

Cons: Very Bright. Can't turn of the "Magic Bright" function. At least I was able to turn disable the automatic contrast. Setting the gamma correctly was impossible for me (but maybe not for everyone). I just play the occasional video game, surf internet, develop my home page.

Overall Review: The base of the monitor has a "lazy Susan" type design that allows the monitor to rotate horizontally. Tilt function is only from straight vertical and tilts back a few degrees. I knew this before I bought it, but it is slightly annoying as my monitor sits about 8 inches above my desk so in my normal seated position the display is not the best but still much better than my old CRT.
