WD loyalist

Pros: Not DOA
Cons: None so far. . My old reliable PartitionMagic choked on a TB drive. I had to upgrade to Partition Manager.
Overall Review: NewEgg packaging for shipping is certainly not up to standard, with apparent laziness, the packers seeming just literally throw products for shipping in to carton, then throw the "popcorn" packing material on top and tape it up, leaving the product being shipped unprotected on the bottom. . NewEgg gets one egg docked for their deficient and incompetent packing.
So So ............

Pros: Motherboard generally boots up and works without blue-screening
Cons: Motherboard, rated at being capable of DDR2 1200 MHz Qualified Vendor Memory with the BIOS AI Tweaker set to Auto only runs at 800 MHz. If the memory is configured to run at 1200 MHz, the motherboard takes a lot of time to boot, as it is then over-clocked and unstable. . Additionally, the ASUS AI Nap and PC Probe II software is flaky, and doesn't function because of Memory address errors. ASUS Tech support isn't much help, as their only remedy is to reformat the hard disk and re-install WinXP again. . This motherboard has been RMA'd back to NewEegg

No Enclosure problems

Pros: NewEgg Sales, Service, and Customer relations ......... good product for the price, without any problems with an installed older Western Digital 320GB harddisk.
Cons: Shoddy packaging for shipping and UPS rough handling. I don't understand why both issues haven't been resolved......... it seems that NewEgg is indifferent to the many customer complaints and doesn't care.
Overall Review: Inexpensive product that does the job.
Wouldn't Format

Pros: NewEgg's Customer Reviews, Pricing, Shipping, and Return Policies and it's PayPal payment option that uses the PayPal shipping address.
Cons: NewEgg's automated packaging ........ While the drive was tightly wrapped in bubble wrap, it wasn't surrounded on all sides by the additional packaging Styrofoam "popcorn" chips for further protection on all sides. I would like to know the value of the negative cost / benefit from avoidable damages incurred from rough handling by the couriers. Otherwise, the Drive failed to NTFS format in two attempts, first with Partition Manager, and then secondly with Windows XP Disk Management.
Overall Review: I now will have a lot less frustration paying NewEgg by PayPal rather than directly by credit card, which always has been a major (Catch 22) hassle regarding NewEgg's shipping address restrictions.
Caveat Emptor / Buyer Beware

Pros: NewEgg's Customer Reviews, Pricing, Shipping, and Return Policies My first Aluratek Internet Radio Alarm Clock purchase was with great expectations, despite reading the reviews. It seems to work as expected when directly connected by Ethernet. Vtuner's web site allows the setup and configuration of the Favorite's list. Other issues reported by others seemed to be minor.
Cons: NewEgg's packaging ........ virtually nonexistent, just a piece of paper thrown into the carton on top of the product's box inside the shipping carton. I thought that maybe because of the poor packaging, the radio was damaged in shipping, which is why I returned via RMA. The wireless functionality isn't. It can't connect nor find the Access Point despite having initially recognized it's strong signal. It shouldn't be advertised as being a wireless product. However, I was able to once get it to wirelessly connect, being less than four feet away from my LinkSys WRT54G router, after a lot of re-trying, but when I moved it to the next room, it re-connected okay, but by morning, it had lost it's connection, and wouldn't reconnect. For a product that's over-hyped by Aluratek, it's also overpriced given it's extremely poor performance. I will never buy another Aluratek product again.
Overall Review: In future, I will be more guided by the NewEgg Customer Reviews instead of just "hoping for the best" despite the reviews.
Dependable IDEHardDisk

Pros: No Problems yet, and if there might be, Western Digital has always backed up their warrantee.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: I've been a long time Western Digital user. Once when I opted for Maxtor harddisks, all three failed within one year. I have had the odd Western Digital disk fail, but none after the warantee expiry
