Forced to buy it...kinda dig it

MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile Gaming Keyboard
MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Feels great keys are crips and responsive nice click without being obnoxious

Cons: had to 3d print a couple of risers to get it to fit with my palmrest had to install a massive sw package to customize the lighting (500MB)

Overall Review: This was a combo with a GPU and ironically my keyboard had just started giving me problems so I bought it as soon as it came up....then I went back and looked at what I had bought. Wasn't real thrilled with what I was reading; the idea of a low profile keyboard didn't sound like something I would want. I didn't know how I'd feel about shorter keystrokes, but after about 20 minutes I really dig it. Another thing that is nice is that I was able to install the Dragonforce software on my tablet and configure the RGB lighting and it stores the settings so I didn't have to install the software on my main rig. The aluminum top is a nice touch. I telework so I'm literally using this thing all day and then at night I'm using the same keyboard and it's great for both.

RAZER Lycosa Keyboard
RAZER Lycosa Keyboard

Pros: It looks nice.

Cons: Bought this for my kid for Christmas last year. It works for the most part, but we have to keep an old PS2 keyboard plugged in all the time because it won't get past POST when starting the machine. The computer isn't the newest on the block (dual XEON workstation), but we're talking about a keyboard here, not some groundbreaking technological advance in computer input devices here.

Overall Review: The Razer mouse seems to work pretty good, but the keyboard causes headaches that just shouldn't exist. I mean if you can't even get into POST then you're kind of stuck.

Everything I expected

EVGA CLC 280mm All-In-One RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler, 2x FX13 140mm PWM Fans, Intel, AMD, 400-HY-CL28-V1 LGA 1700 Compatible
EVGA CLC 280mm All-In-One RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler, 2x FX13 140mm PWM Fans, Intel, AMD, 400-HY-CL28-V1 LGA 1700 Compatible

Pros: Two years later and it's still going strongInstallation was a breezeVery effectiveRGB stuff is static

Cons: Fans were loud

Overall Review: I replaced the fans with something (can't remember, but they are high static pressure, low noise fans). it's on it's 3rd CPU and working flawlessly. I like the fact that I was able to program the RGB and then disconnect the USB and uninstall the software and it retained the settings.

Is it as good as everyone says it is?

CORSAIR RMx Series RM1000X 1000W 80 PLUS GOLD Haswell Ready Full Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply SLI and Crossfire Ready, CP-9020094-NA
CORSAIR RMx Series RM1000X 1000W 80 PLUS GOLD Haswell Ready Full Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply SLI and Crossfire Ready, CP-9020094-NA

Pros: Plenty of cablesFit perfectly in my case (I've had issues with older PSU's not lining up with the screw holes very well)Most of the cables are protected with sleevingPlenty of power for a watercooled and tweaked out RTX 3090 and 5900X

Cons: I installed this in my all purpose workstation that includes a high end commercial sound card that was in the slot right above the PSU. I just happened to open up the case to do something and noticed that the sound card was extremely hot and that it was heat from the PSU. Now I know that this PSU's fan doesn't kick on until you are pulling about 500W which to be honest is not going to be very often, but this thing was hot from just browsing the internet. I had to move the card to another slot that is closer to my GPU which shouldn't even have to be a thing.I'll keep an eye on it, see how things go and hopefully that is enough, but it did make me realize just how much heat this thing could be radiating into my case which is not cool ( no pun intended). I'm all for quiet, but I'm also for not cooking my other components. With that said I have not noticed any issues with heat other than that one instance.

Overall Review: Seems to work, according to GPU-Z I'm pulling over 400W from my GPU alone and this thing hasn't skipped a beat....of course it's rated for twice that power so it shouldn't. I was able to score it for close to actual MSRP so there is value to consider and it's one of the highest rated/well regarded PSU's out there for a few years so I feel confident in my purchase. A 10 year warranty is nice to have. I'll just keep any eye on the heat thing for a couple weeks and make sure that there are no issues.

New to sim racing...mind is blown

Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Ferrari 458 Italia Edition (Xbox Series X|S, One and PC)
Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Ferrari 458 Italia Edition (Xbox Series X|S, One and PC)

Pros: Force feedback and vibration feel great It just works everytime I plug it in

Cons: Brake pedal has no resistive load so it's kind of hard to gauge for pressure. I came up with a simple mod using a couple of rubber furniture bumpers (look on youtube for $10 Thrustmaster brake mod where Darin Gangi did a fantastic instructional and video review of it). After that it's pretty much perfect in my opinion....unless you are going to get into the really high end stuff.

Overall Review: People seem to forget that the wheel isn't usable without something to mount to and something to sit in or on. So you aren't going to end up just spending $300 and having fun....you're looking at close to $500-600 to get up and running after you are fully invested. Wheelstands are ridiculously overpriced (it's just some punched metal and tubing most of the time). It's embarrassing actually and I couldn't bring myself to paying for one; especially after watching review after review and being underwhelmed and unimpressed. I made my own wheelstand using a "132 lb. Capacity Roller Stand" from Harbor Freight. It came up to about $23 for it and some small parts after everything was said and done. It's rock solid and works great. The part that holds the roller (which pops right out) is exactly the right width for the wheel base and you just need to fabricate a base to bolt the wheel too. I just used some 1/8" aluminum I had laying around; you could probably just use MDF or something. You also need to make a mount for the pedals which could be made from anything really. Heck I even added a couple of aluminum cup holders I found online for like $5 delivered from China. If I didn't have some handyman skills there is no way that I would have dumped the money into a full rig for this even though it's really hard to imagine going back to playing racing sims with a controller.

Different than I expected

Logitech Recertified 920-000914 Black 106 Normal Keys USB Wired Slim Keyboard
Logitech Recertified 920-000914 Black 106 Normal Keys USB Wired Slim Keyboard

Pros: Looks great, if it's used in a sliding shelf you get TONS of clearance because it's so thin, a lot more solid than it looks, great response, and lit keys are a lot more useful than I had anticipated.

Cons: Not really sure about the wrist pad. Its just not high enough and a bit on the slick side so I had to get one of those old gel style ones. Great news though is that it's such a low profile that it works together great.

Overall Review: I've been a Microsoft keyboard user for years. I just love the spacing and feel of the keys, but I just can't seem to find one that has the feature set I want without some funky curves...so enter the Logitech here. The price was right since I had to buy two of them. When I first opened one up I was a bit put off because it really looks like a laptop keyboard slapped on a piece of fancy plastic. I hate laptop keyboards with a passion. But it's not. The key travel is short, but even though the keys are light they don't feel mushy at all. I was shocked at how quickly I got used to it. Its a very good keyboard and at the price it's a great value.

Would deal with again

Lots of negative ratings and reviews on here had me a bit worried. They were not the fastest, but they were responsive to my questions and the item arrived quickly from Canada after it was finally shipped...finally being about a week after the order had been placed. With that said the price that I paid was better than anywhere else at the time even after paying for shipping. I've had better, but I've definitely had much worse buying experiences. Bottom line is that if I don't come away satisfied I won't deal with you again....I'd order from these guys again as long as it wasn't something that I needed immediately. I got exactly what I ordered.
