RAZER Lycosa Keyboard

Pros: Keys feel neat, kind of gummy, like the texture they put on motorolla phones, feels just like that. The keys are kind of low profile, much like a laptop keyboard but not obnoxiosly small like one. Keys are quiet, backlight is great. Good keyboard. Looks awesome too.

Cons: Expensive, I actually prefer the Logitech G11, its got more features including programmable macro keys, though it doesn't look quite as awesome, however it costs less if you are on a budget.

Pros: Great Looking keyboard, buttons very responsive with good feel and minimal noise.

Cons: Randomly spams Windows Media Player while I'm in the middle of using other software applications. It's incessant for a couple minutes...no matter how many times I close Media Player it keeps popping up. I found articles online that this was a known issue 3 years ago but has been officially been declared "fixed" and the company does not honor returns with new product. Only "refurbished product and no refund was offered in exchange.

Overall Review: Soooooo disappointed. Great keyboard ruined by poor engineering defect.

Pros: - Multiple settings for the back-lighting (Off, WASD, Full Keyboard) - Easy access to media controls - Nice rubberized keys

Cons: After a small amount of time, the media player keys became sentient and developed a taste in music far different than mine. They would constantly change songs (in either forward or reverse playlist order, depending on their mood). Other times, they would enjoy a song and start it over mid song. When I finally decided that I had had enough, I just ended up leaving iTunes off, save the occasions where I wanted to listen to music (instead of having constant background music while I worked). Having been defeated, the keyboard found new ways to torment me. Random keys will periodically decide to die. Then, in some kind of robot suicide pact, other keys will die in an increasing fashion. This is fixed simply by unplugging it, but when it's plugged into the back of a case, that gets quite annoying.

Overall Review: I still use this keyboard (as I'm too cheap to buy a new one right now), but I've had to adapt my computing habits to it's every increasing crankiness. I have to use a front USB port to ensure fast unplugging to reset haywire keys, and I can't listen to music for more than a few songs without fear of it taking over my controls. Avoid this keyboard.

Pros: Nice sleek and slim design. Razor thin, like typing through thin air. Beautifully lights up in blue. A real crowd pleaser when we have guests over.

Cons: Had an issue with the shift key when I first installed it but that issue was quickly rectified when I went to the Razer website to dl their updates. A few extra cords tied together that bugs some but isn't noticable if you have a sliding keyboard tray (which most people should unless you keep it on top of a desk).

Overall Review: The Razer lycosa blows the dreaded Z-Board I use to have. I don't have any issues with programming the keys like I did with the latter board. I haven't found the need to program any of the keys anyway. If I want to modify keys in any game I just do that within the game itself. For example, I play Call of Duty United Offensive/Cod2 and Battlefield 2 a lot. Can't wait to try this board on Cod4 and the recent Cod. I finally found a gaming board sufficient to aid in my bid for world domination. :)

Pros: It lights up with a bright blue LED lights. The keys are easy to press and very slick

Cons: Sometimes the keys dont work and are very frustrating when your playing a game and you keep running because the key is stuck, no matter how many times you keep pressing the button it wont work. Therefor the only thing that works for me is that I have to restart my computer to fix the key problem.

Overall Review: Im buying another keyboard

Pros: The keyboard works very well. It's very sturdy and the keys are extremely accurate. The rubber is a nice feature.

Cons: This product has horrible reviews, which delayed my decision to purchase it. I know, that's a pretty bad con. Watch out for it.

Overall Review: Let me begin with, I play rhythm games using a computer keyboard. I play for hours, nonstop, and I don't hold back. This keyboard has to be the best one I've used when it comes to playing rhythm games. The reviews on this site are pretty misleading. First of all, 'the rubber comes off'. I can only imagine this happening if your nails DIG into the rubber and TEAR it off. I bash on four keys 6+ hours a day and I see no wear. Second, 'the blue light is dim'. It's pretty bright to me, and the sun is lighting up my room. I can only see it being dim if you are extremely short and are looking at it from an angle. Third, 'non-responsive keys/multiple hits for one tap/typing glitches'. I would be able to tell if this were true RIGHT AWAY. My game depends on accuracy. This is NOT a hardware issue. Cons: -kinda noisy -VERY bright CAPSLOCK/NUMLOCK/SCROLL LOCK lights -without lights on, can not really see the keys at all -somewhat pricey

Overall Review: I had an Eclipse II keyboard before this and let me tell you, the LYCOSA absolutely blows that keyboard away. This keyboard is awesome for any and all typing needs, whether it be gaming or typing up a paper for class. I will never go back to any other keyboard after this. This is a must buy for anyone who is looknig to get a new keyboard! BUY IT NOW! You definitely will NOT regret it!

Pros: Great for price compared to other high-end gaming peripherals. Razer is one of my favorite brands now because of the Lycosa. My friend dropped water on the keys (quite a flew splats) and I hurried and unplugged to avoid dmg. I was able to use napkin to get most, and as I saw some water sitting underneath the keys, I noticed they have a rubber guard, almost as if they knew spills occur???? *derp* trololol. Anyways; That guard saved me from losing this keyboard I'm typing on now from wasting money, as it wasn't even an hour out of the package. I got it all dried up and 10min later I was typing with no problems. That made me LOVE RAZER. Most other keyboards have cracks or slits, but this low-sitting sleek shape with non slip keys surpassed my expectations.

Cons: Lighting sometimes glitches, in which case I open the Razer Lycosa software and change dropdown to KEYS ON/OFF/WASD - click ok, and it fixes itself. I had trouble one time where it glitched and every button I pressed near the media keys, made the song go forward in Media Player, even when I hit the lights button to turn on/off. Was weird, but as soon as I changed settings and clicked ok, it worked just fine... ONE MAJOR PROBLEM - My rewind/back track key on the top right NEVER WORKS.. So I can only pause/play, stop, forward, volume up/down and brightness change. Kinda stupid but oh well, I never wanna hear the same song over- No use for the back a track/rewind button.

Overall Review: WIRES NEVER FALL OUT ON MY COMPUTER CUZ I DONT SLING THE KEYBOARD AROUND IN RAGE. I'M NOT RAGING, I'M JUST TYPING IN CAPS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND LOWERCASE.. Illiteracy; Only professionals can be excused.
