Excellent case but beware

hec Black 0.7mm Thickness SECC 7K09 Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case with 270W FLEX Power Supply

Pros: Great case. Good build. Air flow is ok, but go for low wattage items to keep the thermal total down. Great HTPC case. Inexpensive for what you get.

Cons: It is tight. I have built over 100 systems and this was a tight fit. I cannot stress the importance of a few things. 1. Remove the front cover to install hard drives before you start ripping the case apart. 2. Install the CD/DVD drive last. 3. IMPORTANT...Use right angle SATA connectors and right angle SATA power connectors. I went on the suggestion of someone else in the reviws and they said a Zalman CNPS 8700 cpu cooler fit fine. It does...if you use 90 degree power and sata connectors. I cannot stress this enough, since trying to fit everything in the case, you can possible crack off a SATA connector either on the motherboard of your hard drive. Also, use wire wrap to maximize airflow in the case. Power LED connector was not compatible with my motherboard. Lastly, remove the plastic cpu shroud which is attached to the inside of the removeable cover if you decide to go with the Zalmancooler. It hits the cooler when you reinstall the case. Temps: CPU 98 degrees F Mainboard 88 F

Good for others but not me

HP 15.6" AMD A8-6410 4GB Memory DDR3L 1600 Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit with Windows 8.1 Pro License 355 G2

Pros: Inexpensive, Works well, Windows 7 pro, very thin design and light.

Cons: The screen is not supported in a way that will last as a travel laptop. I am a tech for an IT company and when I received the laptop, I opened the screen and noticed that the 2 hinges that attached the screen to the body of the laptop were prone to causing excessive screen flexing if any pressure was put on the back of the screen. I work in all sorts of closets and mech rooms always balancing the laptop on my lap and as it slides around, I grab the screen and pull it back to the center of my lap. When I grabbed the screen only the whole screen flexed and bowed in my hands as it is very thin and if I was not very careful, I could tell it would easily crack the screen. The laptop is very thin and the reason is that the screen is very thin with no strength to it at all. While it might work well for others, it would not work for me at all in the field. Looking into a Dell or Lenovo as they are stronger on the screen frame.
