Good motherboard

EVGA 122-M2-NF59-TR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
EVGA 122-M2-NF59-TR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Does what it's supposed to. Had it for almost a month now without any problems. Dropped 4Gb of RAM in it and it POSTed and continues to run flawlessly.

Cons: Manual...What manual? You get a cd which must be read on another computer. If you don't have access to another computer in close proximity, this is not the motherboard for you!

Overall Review: evga 590 MB; amd 5600+: 2x2Gb g. skill ram; msi 8800GTX; 74Gb raptor; vista deluxe 64 bit os; antec 900 case 680w psu

Too hot to handle

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Good looking board with great potential as a toaster oven. POSTed every time without any problems.

Cons: After turning on the computer and letting it just sit there for ten minutes without running any programs, the mobo temp climbs to 57 degrees (...and that is celsius), while the 4800+ also climbs to 43 degrees. This happens in an A/C room kept at 69F. The case has 2 120mm fans: 1 front and 1 rear, and 1 80mm fan blowing cool air directly onto mobo (... and yes the fans are channeling air through the front and out the back!) There is also mesh inlay on top and side to alllow for more heat dissipation.

Overall Review: I hear that this is a great board for OCing. I wouldn't know as I'm running at 57C before I even have the chance to start messing around. Asus said to RMA it back and that's just what I'm doing.

Excellent case!

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0

Pros: You can't get any cooler as it is so well ventilated with the entire front panel being made of wired mesh; the 250mm top fan and the 3 120mm case fans.

Cons: price

Overall Review: Ripped out the 3 blue antec fans and installed 3 red antec fans also purchased from newegg. Also added the ruby red orb cpu cooler and the apevia 680w red psu and everyone gawks when they see it for the first time.

perfect with vista 64 bit

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

Pros: I've had it about a month now. evga 590 MB recognized it immediately with 5-5-5-15 timings as listed. Vista 64 bit o.s. recognizes over 3 Gb of memory available which is great!

Cons: I need another set to = 8 Gb

Overall Review: If you have a 64 bit system, you can't go wrong with this memory.

Good bang for buck!

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM2 89W Processor - ADA5600CZBOX
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM2 89W Processor - ADA5600CZBOX

Pros: For the price it's sold at, you can't beat the performance right out of the box. This CPU also stays much cooler than the 6000+ and has a lower power consumption rating.

Cons: It's not the fastest processor in existence.

Overall Review: For gaming, paired with an MSI 8800GTX, you still get 10K on 3dMark06.
