Good Board, Questionable Layout

Pros: High quality components, powerful BIOS for tweaking, dual BIOS nice, good onboard cooling, plenty of SATA ports, dual gigabit lan is handy, eSata is nice.
Cons: Placement of RAM, PCIx1 slots not so good (see below)
Overall Review: Overall, I like this board, the ease of use and the plentitude of OC possibilities, however: PCIx1 slots are poorly positioned. The lower PCIx1 slot will be covered by a double-thickness video card, which I would say is pretty standard to a mid or enthusiast level system builder. A long PCIx1 card in the top slot (such as the Asus Xonar) will overlap the #1 ram slot, and still has to be modified slightly for RAM to fit in the #2 slot... so forget about running all four slots of RAM in dual-channel mode. You would think that Asus would make sure their products play well together. I could have put the video card in the 8x slot and the Xonar to the lower x1 slot, but the 8x slot is so low to the bottom of the case as to restrict air flow to the video card. Otherwise, the board and all the drivers are rock-solid and a good performer.
Not so quiet

Pros: Good airflow, cheap
Cons: Not quiet
Overall Review: Good fan if you're looking for a basic fan that moves a fair amount of air, not so good if you're looking for a quiet computer.
Great cable, excellent quality

Pros: Solid cable, well constructed
Cons: None that I can think of
Overall Review: No need to buy a more expensive cable when you can one like this.
Great monitor, great price

Pros: Nice finish, great contrast, smooth, life-like image, excellent black levels, 'touch of red' classy-if you're into that sort of thing, fantastic price, 120hz technology works well under most circumstances, lots of connections
Cons: That nice finish is a fingerprint and dust magnet, the glossy screen that gives you the excellent contrast ratio also reflects ambient light, slight delay when switching between sources, way to switch sources could be better
Overall Review: I compared a lot of monitors in this price point, and this had the best picture quality. The Sony doesn't reflect as much ambient light, but you'll pay more. The 120Hz technology helps smooth things out pretty well, but can occasionally make it look a little artificial. That and the slowness switching between sources aren't enough to detract from this excellent monitor. Also, the AIT delivery was timely and very helpful, so much so that I can recommend buying from Newegg rather than a brick and mortar with no reservations.
Great sound, but large

Pros: Great sound and performance, fit and finish top-notch, easy to set up and install, loaded with features
Cons: Long card, may not work with certain MOBO/video card combinations, requires additional power
Overall Review: I have this card installed in the Asus P5Q-Deluxe motherboard. I have the thing squeezed into the top PCIEx1 slot at top, but was forced to move my ram into the #2 and #4 locations, or the card would not fit, and even then I had to physically bend the power connector at nearly a 90 degree angle to get it to fit. The second PCIEx1 slot is blocked by the video card. Installing the card in the second PCIEx1 slot would require moving the video card to the lower PCIEx8 slot, which also blocked airflow and caused the card to run 4-6 degrees C warmer. Not good. Just be sure to really measure inside your case before buying this card. Also, you'll need a spare floppy power connector.
Mediocre design

Pros: Great price for big storage, decent performance
Cons: Clumsy design can make it harder to plug in
Overall Review: You pull and then swivel to drive to get at the plug, but you have to pull out until you hear the cover snap into place, or it'll slide down when you try to plug it into a port. It's not a big deal, but it is a little annoying.
