Good board, no issues so far

Pros: - A nice, basic board with plenty of IO - Wi-Fi sold separately, so I don't have to pay for a feature which I neither need nor want. - The second x16 slot is electrically PCIe Gen4 x4. A lot of the other boards I looked at only offered Gen4 x1 or even Gen3 x1. This gives flexibility if I ever want to re-purpose the system with an HBA card or fiber card. - Plenty of fan headers.
Cons: - Doesn't include an extension header for the front panel connections. It would have cost what, a penny or two to include? - The manual is very skimpy, focused just on the hardware features, pinouts, and installation instructions. Almost no info about BIOS setup. - BIOS help tips are often useless, telling me things like "this setting turns feature X on or off", but giving no information as to what feature X is or does. Sadly that is pretty typical though.
Overall Review: - Shipped with BIOS version "0823 x64", dated 11/21/2022. Have not upgraded because it is working fine. - Worked out of box with Ryzen 7 7700 (non-X). PBO was enabled by default. - No issues with my budget Corasir DDR5-5200 memory kit, even though it is not listed in ASUS's compatibility table. (CMK32GX5M2B5200C40) - First POST took ~30 sec, then prompted me to run setup (good!) - Being new to Ryzen platform, I didn't know about DOCP and it wasn't immediately obvious how to load XMP settings from SPD. I set the speed manually but didn't know to also set the voltage. Under-volting led to memory errors under load, which I eventually found with Memtest's block move test. Don't repeat my mitake; be sure to set DOCP from the main page in EZ mode, or from the top of the AI page in Advanced mode. - Running Xubuntu 22.04. No issues observed so far.
Nice looking, extremely sharp edges, and mine was a dud

Pros: - It's a nice looking board. I don't generally care, but it matches well with my wife's RedDevil card. - The overall finish quality is excellent as well. - It was packaged better than any motherboard I've ever bought, to the point of being zip-tied into a foam casing within the product box. - Having the backplate attached to the ports was a nice touch as well. - The factory heatsinks are substantial and should do an excellent job keeping things cool. - The diagnostic LEDs are a simple and effective way to see which step of POST the board is at. - Overall, I was impressed by how luxurious this board is compared to others at the $200 price point. Being on sale for $180 made it even more attractive.
Cons: - The diagonal edge on the large VRM heatsink is extremely sharp, I would say nearly razor sharp. I got nasty cuts on two of my fingertips just while placing the motherboard into the tower, and then numerous smaller nicks while trying to route cables. It is completely unacceptable to ship a product like this without dulling the machined edges. Not only is this a risk to the user's safety, but you also risk cutting the insulation on the power supply cables for the CPU 12V lines! - The board I received was DOA. The system POSTed just fine but became unstable over time, even with XMP/EXPO disabled (default 4800 CL40 speeds). I was able to boot up a Kubuntu 23 live disc without issue, and it even passed MemTest86 overnight and prime95 blend test for the 30min that I ran it. However, once the system warmed up and I subsequently rebooted it, the board began failing to boot any media at all (all kinds of bizarre kernel errors related to PCIe and USB). It would also intermittently fail to POST or would reset the BIOS to factory defaults. If I let the system cool to room temp, it became stable again until re-warmed. - I updated to the latest BIOS version but it made no difference. Something about this board was marginally passing under test conditions but transitioned to failure under real-world usage conditions. - I RMAed the board to newegg and ordered a different model motherboard that I have used previously. The CPU/RAM are both working fine in the new board. - The BIOS/EFI is difficult to read because the orange Live Mixer product art is used as a background (yes, really) and the font color, if I remember right, is red. Font color definitely should have been something with higher contrast, such as white or pale yellow.
Overall Review: Pretty sure I just received a dud. This board is probably great if you receive a working one. I'm sure ASRock would have helped me out if I had contacted them, but frankly I don't have time for it. I just want something that I know works, and I already have an AM5 system using a different board, so I went with that. Honestly, I would have bought the other board to begin with, but this one was on sale for $20 cheaper and is more feature rich. The sharp edges on the heatsink are inexcusable. I would have given the product 4 eggs if not for this obvious safety issue.
Windows only

Pros: - None, I cannot redeem it because I'm not a Windows user.
Cons: - Not a Steam game key. Requires the EA App to redeem. - Not redeemable on Linux.
Overall Review: This game is available on Steam, yet AMD only offers redemption through the EA App. Normally AMD's promotions are redeemed through Steam keys, but not this one. Thanks for nothing AMD.
Great product! Would (and did) buy again.

Pros: Very compact case and power supply. I would be impressed if anyone can produce a more compact mini-ITX case than this. Overall it is well-designed and has exactly the right power connectors for a system of this size. Four front USB ports is generous. The dual-2.5" drive bay is slick as well. Throw in a low-power embedded system that can run fanless and you're all set.
Cons: It's a tight squeeze to install the motherboard. Bend all wires out of the way before trying to get the board in. Do NOT install anything into the motherboard before it is in the case. And be prepared to man-handle the board quite a bit. This is a very minor con. You build the thing once and never work on it again (hopefully). The rest of the time you just want it to take up as little space as possible. Did not come with thumbscrews for the back. Initially I thought one was missing, but then I realized that the three thumbscrews that are included are actually for the VESA mount, NOT for closing the case.
Overall Review: I was so impressed with the first one of these that I've bought two more. One of them houses a low-power VIA x86 board running pfSense for home routing. The second contains an AMD A6 embedded HTPC for my parents' living room. The third will house an AMD A8 embedded PC and will bolt to the VESA mounts on our living room computer monitor.
Does not conform to USB pinout spec

Pros: It was relatively inexpensive and shipped quickly considering that it came directly to me from China.
Cons: Short version: It does not match the USB2 and USB3 header pinout specifications. These specs can easily be found online with your search engine of choice. There's no good reason for this product to be wired incorrectly. Long version: Because this product had no reviews I decided to be cautious and check the wiring of the adapter against the USB3 and USB2 pin specifications before using it. As it turns out the adapter is *not* wired correctly. Here is what I found: - The V+, D+, and D- connections are all correct - The USB2 GND pins are connected to the USB3 shields drains instead of the USB3 power ground pins. This might work, but it does not match the spec. - The USB2 shield pin is missing from this adapter and therefore does not connect to anything. This is a gross violation of the spec. The shield ground is meant to reduce signal noise and should not have been omitted.
Overall Review: It might work, but I'm not trying it until after I've re-wired it correctly.
excellent

Pros: 5mm thick, which is less than a typical 1.8" ZIF hard drive (usually they are 7 or 8 mm). Can be used to convert an MP3 player to flash memory. I just got done converting my iriver H10 with this card and it works perfectly.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: ZIF connector is centered on the card, but on some hard drives it is off-center. For the H10 this was not a problem, but for other MP3 players it could be. Just something to keep in mind.
