Pros: I have 15 thumb drives that each have their own purpose. By using this and eliminating many 4 and 8 GB drives, my pockets will be less full. I find that in the real world, this drive is at least twice as fast as any of my USB 2 drives, even on USB 2 ports. Usually it is the drive that is the bottleneck so you don't reach the potential speed of a USB 2 port. This drive fixes that. On a USB 3 port it is even better.

Cons: If you can't find your "you know what" in the dark with both hands, you might not like the fact that the cap is detachable and can potentially be lost. If you need a cap that is attached with a little string, like your mittens, then this might not be the drive for you.

Overall Review: When you use this drive, you will see a real world speed increase. Testing programs are fine as a basic indicator of the potential of a device but what you see in day to day use is what is really important and this drive is fast.

Pros: One of the two I bought worked great and the other one didn't Just not worth the trouble to return an item that costs so little so I just canned it.

Cons: Maybe Orico needs to change their AQL level in acceptance testing.

Overall Review: If you need one, and get a good one, this is worthwhile.

Pros: Be sure to download the driver from the Wavlink site before you install this unit. I replaced an older 2.4GHz adapter and found out that Windows did not recognize this new Wavlink adapter. I put the old adapter back in, went to Wavlink, downloaded the driver for this model and the rest was super easy. This is a unit in my wife's office upstairs and the connection speed is ten times faster than the old adapter and she is happy......so I am happy.

Cons: I didn't notice that it didn't come with a driver disk so it took a little longer to install. I suppose that makes sense since it ensures that I have the latest driver from Wavlink but a heads-up in the listing would have been nice......not a really big deal though.

Overall Review: Rock solid connection and great speed....what's not to like?

Pros: These drives are not the fastest drives I own but, for the price, they are a terrific value. It varies from drive to drive (I bought 12) but, on average, they read at about 100MB/s and write about 35 MB/s. I have paid more for slower drives so I consider them a great deal.

Cons: Initially, they are a little difficult to slide out the connector but after a couple uses, they loosen up and extend and retract smoothly.

Overall Review: These are about the best deal around and are cheap enough you can loan them to your friends with no agony if they don't come back.

Pros: Replacing a hard drive with this unit was very straightforward.....I cloned the existing Windows 10 installation onto this SSD with Aomei Backupper Free edition in just a few minutes. Removed the hard drive and replaced it with this and I am in business.....very much quicker boot time. I have been using Optiarc optical drives for years and expect the same Sony quality out of this SSD.

Overall Review: I have no idea how long this drive will last but then who ever does? I expect good service since it is made by the same company that makes Optiarc optical drives and I have used them for many years in my builds and have had nothing but good luck.

Pros: Good price for an SSD. Seems sufficiently well-built. All the holes aligned perfectly for installation.

Cons: Wish it were packaged in a small, padded box instead of that horrible clam-shell packaging.

Overall Review: It was easy to clone the existing 500GB hard drive to this drive. Installed this drive in place of the hard drive and booted into Windows 10 pro in about 1/3 the time. I used a 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch adapter to install it since my case doesn't have a 2.5 inch drive slot. The drive is mounted directly in front of a case fan so cooling should not be a concern. I can not speak to longevity but a week's use shows that this drive is doing a good job. At the price they are selling for, they have become a commodity and if it fails at some point, I still have the original hard drive that can be re-installed and used to clone the next SSD i will install. No more rotating disks for me.
