AMAZING

Pros: I have been transferring data for about 10 hours now and it seems quite content to gobble it all up. It gets warm when transferring large amounts of data like any drive will. Seems like there is endless space at your fingertips. SILENT! VERY QUICK USB. I'll get my esata cable tomorrow and see how fast it goes then. Undoubtedly I will be having delusions of grandeur after that happens. MY DRIVE INCLUDED THE SAMSUNG 32MB buffer! : )
Cons: The indicator light on the front gets to be a little bit of a bother after awhile. The included USB cable has green headers on either end which was a poor decision, pretty ugly. Also, I payed almost ten dollars for shipping and newegg sends me this drive in a box with no padding for protection! I couldn't believe it. I RECEIVED GEARS OF WAR WITH THOSE LITTLE POP CORN PIECES FOR PROTECTION BUT NONE FOR A HARD DRIVE! Also, I live in Seattle, the drive was shipped from Cali. For some reason the drive went to Kentucky and then came to Seattle. UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall Review: I got a Samsung drive, VERY PLEASED! I've had nothing but heaven when it comes to Samsung hard drives. I've owned 5 of their drives now and nothing has happened to any of them. CAN'T SAY THE SAME FOR MY SEAGATE DRIVES!!! I'LL TRY AND PUT UP A VIDEO REVIEW AFTER MY FINALS WEEK IS OVER.
GOT FREE WITH GARMIN NUVI 200W

Pros: FREE with Garmin Nuvi 200W. It is a bag to put things in (not electronics). Good build quality for what you get.
Cons: No padding material for my GPS. No soft material inside the main compartment. It feels like my GPS screen will get scratched on the material. Not really a size that is handy for anything. Too big for GPS, to small for anything useful. Maybe a shampoo case would be a good name for it.
Overall Review: Not something to store gadgets in.
Keeps the drive cool

Pros: Take off the end of the case, connect the drive to the end, slide it in, screw in the screws, and plug it in. Aluminum body keeping the drive cool.
Cons: The L.E.D. light is WAY TOO BRIGHT. Most people (including me) don't need a two USB connections. I cut off the 2nd larger USB cord which is nice to have gone. If you cut the 2nd regular sized USB cable off, I didn't have any issues with the rest of the cord not working. Just make sure you cut the USB that comes out of the other. No carrying case but won't scratch easily.
Overall Review: Would purchase again even though the light is way too bright.
Quiet and fast for USB 2.0

Pros: Spins up and writes quietly, software included is well thought out and easy to use, auto backup compresses the files, carrying case included is helpful but may not protect drive from high up falls, cord is about a foot, maybe less which is perfect. The light can be seen but is definitely not over bright like most status lights on external drives. All around solid, well put together drive.
Cons: I saw the pictures of this drive and thought the bottom would be sticky and not slip from surfaces. Not true. Wish it was a little bit more stable on surfaces. The top is a finger print magnet but the glittery design makes it almost unnoticeable.
Overall Review: I've owned 4 Samsung (not including this one) drives which are all still in use, the older of which is 5 years old and the others not far behind. All of them are working perfectly. Black Friday deal was great. Ninety nine with free shipping.
Windows competing with OS-X again

Pros: Clean install. Drivers installed great by the installer. Faster the XP and Vista from my experience. Window snap is great and the installed and downloadable themes are great with their unique sounds.
Cons: One feature I really wanted was the speech recognition for writing grad school papers. I know now that I will need a mic headset for it to accurately hear what I want to go in the document. I tried the onboard mic and it picks up anything in the room. So unless you talk directly into the onboard mic with no one in the room, it won't work.
Overall Review: Leaps and bounds for Microsoft...KEEP IT UP!! Now I tell the others in my graduate program they can't talk bad about Windows anymore because 7 is out. They all own Macs. Weirdos. Installed on Acer Aspire 8930 and came preinstalled on Aspire 4810TZ. Both working great.
Good computer, unbelieveable keyboard

Pros: My other reviews have stated what is good.
Cons: I have had this for less than a month and the keyboard is going bad. The "S" and "C" have to be pushed hard for them to work. I have to send this back now for another one. Just wonderful.
Overall Review: Get a Sony. Then you won't be dealing with this quality issue.
