50% Failure so far

G.SKILL NS 2GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9S-2GBNS
G.SKILL NS 2GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9S-2GBNS

Pros: Quick, inexpensive, and easy to install. Looks pretty nice and dark colored. Playing higher end games with 4gb total just fine with my 6770.

Cons: 1 of 2 modules purchased failed

Overall Review: I purchased two sticks and 1 failed out of the box. Instead of paying a re-stocking fee I opted to go through G-skill RMA which so far is painless enough. Gskill's RMA process seems to be fairly painless and quick to respond (less than 24 hour response) 1 module works great, the other caused blue screen memory dump during Win 7 install and boot loop.

Most Critical Review

Bioware's Worst Game

Dragon Age 2 PC Game
Dragon Age 2 PC Game

Pros: The graphics are pretty good looking, although going into directx11 mode destroys my framerate on my desktop (radeon hd5770, 3.0ghz core 2 duo, 4gb of ram). The combat seems smoother and faster than the origins but read my cons about that. Voice acting is pretty good.

Cons: The pc version has a gamestopping bug that if you don't patch could ruin a perfectly good save (this of course is about 1 to 2 hours in... The combat I said was faster paced, but it's too easy and dumbed down. Just like the story! you don't get to know your companions as well as you did in origins or any other bioware game, and it makes me care less since I don't know anything about them. The main story is very anticlimactic and there are way too many fetch quests that involving the same area. you spend most/all of your time in one city. Do yourself a favor and replay origins, or buy mass effect 2. or save the twenty bucks and use it towards SWTOR! Played beta and it WILL be worth the wait! My laptop (with a radeon HD4330) can play origins on medium just fine, but it can't even handle this on low. and the graphics difference isn't that noticable!!

Overall Review: Like most sequels, they tried to be "innovative" to create a "new" experience. But in doing so the foundations that made the original so great have been tampered with or destroyed completely. :(

Definitely worth the price

Patriot Burst 2.5" 480GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PBU480GS25SSDR
Patriot Burst 2.5" 480GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PBU480GS25SSDR

Pros: -Price -Speed -Reliable so far

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: I would say this is a great inexpensive SSD that I've owned since August of 2018. Using about 128GB of space on it, I keep most of the space empty as it's my main Windows 10 boot drive with some DAW software on it. Windows boots quick and I've experienced zero issues with it. I would recommend for a budget drive for games too. At one point I thought I was getting BSOD because of the drive, turns out a GPU tuning software was causing these crashes.

Good Enough

LOGISYS Computer CS136BK Micro ATX Computer Case with 480W Power Supply
LOGISYS Computer CS136BK Micro ATX Computer Case with 480W Power Supply

Pros: -Ventilation is decent for such a small case -IO Plate slot is already punched out -PCI Brackets are easy to punch out -Large enough for spacing for bigger graphics cards (can fit a Radeon 7950 or 6790) -Case fan is quiet -Space saving size -Unit arrived with no damage

Cons: -Power supply is not something I would recommend using for a modern build -Glossy finish makes the plastic look terrible (just a cosmetic preference) -Front panel feels very flimsy

Overall Review: This is a no thrills case, but you already knew that (you are looking for a case for less than $30 for crying out loud!). I bought this to transfer my wife's existing build into something that was compact and had working front USB ports (contrary to her old case). The included power supply will be used for an old core 2 duo build that has a broken PSU. I gave this 5 eggs because it's a great value to have a functional case that is shipped to your door for so cheap. The only issue I really have with the case is the look of the front panel, but to get a style that I really like would have cost me at least $30 more. I wish it had top vents. Other cheaper cases I have purchased have had bad ventilation, poor mounting screw alignment, and very annoying punch out metal still in the IO plate and PCI slot blanks but this case doesn't have any issues with those things.

Epic Value. Some Minor Gripes.

DIYPC Cuboid-B Black USB 3.0 Gaming Micro-ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/1 x 140mm LED Blue Fan x Front, 1 x120mm LED Blue Fan x rear
DIYPC Cuboid-B Black USB 3.0 Gaming Micro-ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/1 x 140mm LED Blue Fan x Front, 1 x120mm LED Blue Fan x rear

Pros: Very awesome rubberized finish on a lot of this case (this is the opposite of a fingerprint magnet). Very easy to mount motherboard, full size GPU, 750w PSU, and 3.5" drives Included fans are quiet and I have yet to have any issues with them. Airflow is keeping my system very cool. The overall design and build quality is solid and the metal doesn't feel too flimsy on the side panels. Comes with a philips head screwdriver in case you lost yours.

Cons: The 2.5" SSD "tool less" mounts are not exactly "tool less". I had to use the screws provided by my ssd manufacturer on the tray to keep the drive secure. The 3.5" drives are tool less and I was hoping to see the same design scaled down (but that didn't happen). One of my top/front USB 2.0 ports looks like it was installed with a hammer. However, this port is working fine and it's hard to see when you plug in a wireless mouse receiver. Cables are somewhat difficult to hide in this case (even with my EVGA semi-modular PSU).

Overall Review: Comes with covers for front USB (for me this was perfect since I was putting a budget mobo in the case that doesn't support USB3.0 directly on the board. Instead of having a random dead blue usb slot on the top, the perfectly shaped cover sits in that spot beautifully. The top cover/vent seems rather flimsy and I tend to place random things on top of my computer so I'll have to keep an eye on what I set on there. The "blue" colored part of the case looks a little closer to purple in my eyes but still looks nice. I would recommend this to anyone putting together a budget build that desires good airflow. I've purchased budget cases from NZXT, Thermaltake, Cougar, and now DIYPC. NZXT and DIYPC are fantastic value for the entry level price points. This is around the 30th or so computer that I've built and it was a breeze in this case (and a literal cool breeze in this case from that 200mm fan!).

Terrible PC Port

Far Cry 4 [Online Game Code]
Far Cry 4 [Online Game Code]

Pros: Great to look at the trailer of the game. Reminds me of far cry 3.

Cons: Fails to load with a 360 controller plugged in. I am still stuck on a mission that characters fail to drop their weapons. They did the first couple times I played it, but not now. Terribly Buggy, uPlay sucks, it is really unplayable at this point. I have the latest updates to date (december 28th) and none of my issues have been fixed. I guess I'll have to re download the entire game... many gigs...

Overall Review: my rig is a 4.0ghz quad core, a 2gb radeon 6970 graphics card, 8gb of ddr3 1600 ram. This game in theory is great on high... but not. :D :P
