Nice Product
Pros: Very quiet. Nearly as fast as my brand new WD Blue drive. Pretty good price to storage ratio. Amazingly low power usage, about half that of my Blue drive. I transferred a folder full of movie and game ISO's from my 1TB WD Blue drive to this one, and the transfer speed stayed above 130 MB/s the entire time. I used a program called "Barts Stuff Test", which fills the entire disk, then reads the file and calculates read/write speeds. The entire process took about 8 hours, and during that time the hard drive never went more than 2 F above ambient temperature. Read and Write speeds were pretty constant across the entire disk; Max read speed was 150 MB/s, average was 120. Max write speed was 154 MB/s, average was 125. I have been transferring some of my bigger files which were cluttering up my main hard drive onto this one, and I am very pleased with the write speeds on this drive.
Cons: No installation instructions (not a big deal). Not quite fast enough for gaming.
Overall Review: This drive would be perfect for backup or secondary storage. I plan on putting it in an external enclosure and using it for just that. It would work very well for low power applications, and is also very quiet. I would also definitely recommend it if you just need a large, cheap hard drive.
You get what you pay for
Pros: Price is good. Decent range. About 20 feet less than my Centurylink 6070, which was over $100. The wifi speed is pretty good. We have 2 3DS's, and a phone on it, and the wifi is fast enough for all three.
Cons: This router WILL NOT pair with my computer. I have tried everything I know and I cannot use it with my computer. This may just be a strange compatibility issue with my wifi adapter and this router. Every 2-3 days this router stops working, and I have to unplug and reset it. This is very annoying, and should NOT happen. The internet speed on my phone is not as good as with my other router. The router looks/feels very cheap.
Overall Review: This is a decent router for the cost, but I would recommend spending more money and getting a good router. The two children with the DS's told me that they didn't like the router, and they wanted that mentioned in the review (gotta love kids).
No Suport
Pros: The memory card technically does work, but not as advertised. Decent price (not great though)
Cons: I e-mailed the manufacturer ( just as they directed me to do), and its been months with no reply. Read and write speeds are frustratingly slow for a class 10 device
Overall Review: Do not expect any customer support on Patriot items. I bought it since the patriot logo looks nice, expecting that all memory cards were created equal- turns out that may not be so
Pros: Very solid hard drive, with nice read/write times. 931 GB for only $70 Quiet and cool Nice 64 MB cache Faster than equally priced Samsung or Seagate drives
Cons: About a 20 ms response time.
Overall Review: I've had absolutely no issues with this hard drive.
Good bang for your buck
Pros: Price 24" at 1080p is just the right ratio of clarity to size Works well, good colors, bright. Looks nice. Very nice monitor for its price.
Cons: Viewing angle is pretty good, but colors get distorted at certain angles. Stand is pretty cheap. The power LED is very bright and flashes when the PC is turned off. Not a huge deal, as I can just turn off the monitor, but its pretty annoying when Im trying to sleep. For about the first 2 weeks, it took the monitor longer to turn on than it took for my computer to boot and login. Then it just randomly starting working correctly. ????? Oh well, it works fine now, so I'm not complaining. Speakers suck, but I bought it for a monitor, not for high quality sound.
Overall Review: I've had no problems with ghosting, or any of the other annoying things other people saw. Stand IS ADJUSTABLE. it tilts up to about 30 degrees, and down to about 10. I dont know why people are saying its not adjustable. -- Despite all my cons, it definitely exceeded my expectations and I am very satisfied with this product. --
Nice, solid PSU
Pros: The fact that I dont even ever think about it tells me that its doing its job well. great PSU, even with a 95w cpu, a 150w gpu, and about a billion case fans there is never any voltage drop, or any noticeable increase in fan speed.
Cons: the little yellow strip on the side doesnt match my red & black theme :p, but thats just me being compulsive.
