Stunning for the price

Logitech X-530 70 watts RMS 5.1 Black Speaker System
Logitech X-530 70 watts RMS 5.1 Black Speaker System

Pros: for a very cheap price, you're getting a powerful 5.1 system. I don't know what people are talking about concerning the length of the cords. The rear cables are about 8-10 feet+, while the front are about 6-7'. Plenty for a computer desk and some speaker stands/stools setup behind you. Looks good, bass control on subwoofer (though as someone else reviewed, it sort of doesn't do anything after about half way). Plenty loud for music, games, movies.

Cons: Not enough speaker wire to set up a home-theater in your room, but then these just aren't powerful enough for most people. Obvious drawbacks are no tweeters, and 40hz subwoofer frequency. total Hz range is 40-20khz. For me, this really isn't an issue, I can feel the bass enough; also, the highs are crisp enough. Another thing that bothers me almost more is that the speakers are a little light and are made out of plastic; they look like they're heavy as a brick in the pictures, but in all honesty - they're not. As long as you can sustain your "It has to be heavy duty" ego, then it's fine. I wish they had a treble controller on the speakers, otherwise I have to use the equalizer that comes with the audio drivers.

Overall Review: I'm even running on Integrated A'97 Audio (Non-HD), and these still blow me away; I imagine the sound would greatly improveif I had a Creative sound blaster, e.t.c.. Conclusion is: You honestly can't beat the price for the performance. Pros: Dirt cheap, 5.1, excellent sound from music to fps's, Can get far louder than what is good for your ears, sufficient cable length, look awesome. Cons: Light, plastic (subwoofer is far from light, can't tell, it's definietly the most well built), no 20hz or 25khz ranges, no treble control. Would I buy these again? Most definitely.

Not bad

Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 0307B001 1200 x 2400 dpi 48bit USB Interface Flatbed Scanner
Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 0307B001 1200 x 2400 dpi 48bit USB Interface Flatbed Scanner

Pros: I got this product when it was around twenty five $ on sale. At that price, it was worth it. It scans alright at 600dpi

Cons: As others say, very slow, quality isn't really the best. I'm a concept artist and replacing this one finally. It did what I needed it to do for a good while.

Overall Review: Wait for the price to drop

Excellent

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0

Pros: What can I say? It meets all my expectations as an air-cooled case. Extremely sturdy, plenty of fans (3x 120mm and 200mm top fan + 2 more spots for 120mm fans). My Q6600 Idles between 29 and 34 degrees C on stock HS/F and Arctic Silver 5. This is Phoenix, Arizona, too.

Cons: It could be my motherboard, but the top panel's audio ports do not work - USB does, though. The fans are loud on high, and coming from a person who does not care about how loud his tower is, that's saying quite a bit. I still leave them on high, though. Crank the speakers up more; anyway, what can you expect?

Overall Review: Area for motherboard is smaller than I thought. With my Abit P35-E, the IDE connector on the motherboard connects from the side and not straight on. It was EXTREMELY tight to connect the ide cable to it with the middle 120mm bracket. It's possible, though. Also, my motherboard's front panel switches are in the bottom left corner and I had to stretch the wire pretty much to reach them.

Could be no happier

TOPOWER ZU-650W 650 W ATX12V Version 2.0 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Certified Power Supply
TOPOWER ZU-650W 650 W ATX12V Version 2.0 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Certified Power Supply

Pros: Does its job. Runs MSI factory OC 8800GT easily, Q6600, 2(soon to be 4) gigs of RAM, e.t.c. Plenty of power, plenty of cables. I was a little nervous when ordering: few reviews, non-name brand PSU, e.t.c., When I received it, it was packaged well, looked nice, and is heavy duty. An intake fan and a outtake fan help keep the area between the bottom of my case and the graphics card relatively cool (Antec 900, so PSU sits at bottom).

Cons: Only 2 sata power connectors, but you can get adapters. I personally would've preferred a resistor knob in the back to have more control over the speed of the PSU's fan as opposed to like 25-50% and 100% maxed. Blue LED only lights up if turbo mode is on. I don't run turbo as I do not wish to burn out my fans at a faster pace.

Overall Review: Not sure if it has the amperage to go 8800GT in SLI, though. I would personally assume yes. It definitely has the wattage. Overall, I'd buy this product again. We'll see how it does in the long term, but I trust it. I'll buy ePower again.

A reliable PSU

APEVIA Chameleon ATX-AS550W-BK 550 W ATX12V Power Supply
APEVIA Chameleon ATX-AS550W-BK 550 W ATX12V Power Supply

Pros: With the pros being substantial amperage, great amount of watts for the price, and looks (3-switch LED), replacement fan + fan control pci-bracket mount, I can say I was very satisfied with this PSU, running my computer for two years, now. Every part of my computer has given me a problem up to this point except this power supply.

Cons: I prefer a 80mm(e.t.c) fan pointing directly out the back of the case as opposed to a large 120mm in the case. It would be excellent if most cases had a top vent so you could install the fan facing up. The holes saved them money rather than increased cooling more than likely. The only thing they did for me was get major dust buildup inside my PSU.Granted, my case was poor for dust filtering in the first place. Oh, not SLI-Certified.

Overall Review: This thing has ran a AMD Athlon X2 3800+, 2 x 512mb kingston hyperX ram DDR2-400mhz, XFX 7900GS 256, 80 gig WD-IDE hdd, Seagate 320gb SATA2 HDD, Foxconn NF4-SK8AA motherboard. Still kicking while the graphics card broke down on me, the ram, motherboard and harddrives all gave me problems. I couldn't have asked for a more reliable, more pretty PSU. If I wasn't putting this back together and selling it to make up for the cost of my new computer, I'd take it out and attempt to use it in my new one.

Old Faithful

Kensington 72123 Silver 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB or PS/2 Wired Optical Mouse
Kensington 72123 Silver 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB or PS/2 Wired Optical Mouse

Pros: I've had this mouse since at least 2002. It has never really failed on me. I'm a pretty big gamer, from FPS's and RTS's, and have used this throughout them all. A solid mouse that can take quite a beating

Cons: Don't call these cons, as it has received so much use but: every now and then, the usb device will be disabled in windows and then re-enabled, sort of annoying, but not sure if it's software or hardware related. The silverish-gray color (I'm color blind, so the true color eludes me) where the fingers rest have completely worn down to a smooth white.

Overall Review: Cons aren't really cons, as this mouse as seen so much use within at least the last 6 years. It will be sort of sad when I have to retire it...
