Pros: keyboard- feels like a normal one but smaller, very comfortable for typing which is ideal for notes size- i can bring this anywhere unlike my old gigantic 17' laptop heat- very cool battery life- i am at 40% and it has 3.6 hours left. better than my old laptop (1.5 hours = 100% charged) boot time- i am using windows xp, changing to windows 7 and it should be even better. right now it boots like the rest of my computers

Cons: mouse pad- even at full sensitivity, it feels slow and unresponsive, i will get a bluetooth mouse. left and right click- they are the same button. i hate that, it is uncomfortable and feels like a mac.

Overall Review: i upgraded to 2gb ram at the start. i was scared at first, i didnt put the ram in all the way because it is a very fragile chip. you have to put muscle into it to snap it into the ram slot, do not be scared. if not, i will just stay as a black screen when you turn it on. also, you need to wedge the ram protection off, it feels broken but you just need to wedge it off. im installing windows 7 too. i will install adobe cs4 programs, office and world of warcraft on this laptop. i havent yet, but if you are interested in the performance, email me at [email protected] and i will tell you how it is when i test it out. this is great for college, but i think i will bring it to work and everywhere else i want since it is so small and has the best battery life ive ever seen(well in real life, i have seen 12 hrs online).

Cons: this is the anti-gaming, 'gaming' laptop where to start....it overheats like crazy. i have a fan on it at all times and overheats on simply games with settings on lowest(WoW). it gets so hot, it shuts down by itself. not only are there heat issues, it shuts down randomly as well. bluetooth, this is a headache. i bought 3 items to pair with this, a headset, keyboard and mouse. literally every 30 mins to an hour the bluetooth randomly quits and you have to restart it with the touchpad while the laptop spams the last key presses your bluetooth items used before disconnection. i went to the asus website to update the driver, and i get all kinds of errors when trying to install the new drivers. this laptop barely runs games. dont expect any modern games to be played higher than low settings, medium if you are feeling lucky or dont need performance. the hard drive is terrible for the size of games and music libraries. the battery lasts about 40 mins

Overall Review: continuation: there are two lights on the lid which look childish and just waste battery even more. if you game with the lid closed and connected to external monitor, EXPECT it to overheat within minutes and just shut down. my friend has this laptop and he suggests i remove the botton cover and have two fans on it 24/7. how is this acceptable? its not the best update asus made for this laptop is their decision to discontinue it. its a waste of 1200 dollars. for the price, you might expect at least one aspect of the laptop to be decent, but unfortunately its a waste of money.

Pros: -instantly goes to your location when starts up -has a 'sleep' mode for quick startup like a laptop -computes the route to your destination quickly -great for finding places(poi) and exploring -allows you to type part of a location and it guesses the rest -great text to voice -gives you the approx to destination and what speed you are going and has detours just incase(automatically) -requires absolutely no antenna -detects your direction even if you have only turned 2-3 feet

Cons: -very big glitch: if the device tells you to turn left onto a highway from a close parallel street but you just keeps going straight, its going to assume you are on the highway even though you are not, so you will get lost and cant reset until you go off course -the points of interest for finding locations is very old. i have tried to go to computer stores all the time and it just leads me to some dead end neighborhood. -needs to be updated because some roads have drastically changed but it acts like they are still there

Overall Review: there are some flaws but i have seen a lot worse gps devices compared to this one. this is the best ive seen just get it, dont even consider others.

Pros: great graphics in-game cinematics include your character in them, arent pre rendered like most games. allows 2 classes for one character which is very interesting and allows unique combinations. free after purchase.

Cons: the game support is nearly non existent. no phone numbers to call for help, only a question service that takes days to help you(and still have no help) not a true 3d world. there are no physics for swimming or jumping which is basic for most mmos players advertise this as an mmo, but it is not one. it is a bunch of instances that can only have up for 5 players together unlike other mmos that can show infinite in the same place. incredible amount of in game advertising for gold selling. long loading screens(could be 500+MB for one screen but only has to be done once)

Overall Review: they changed the game so you need to know a character name to log in. most account systems have a security question that you can pick and answer, but this requires you to just know a character on the account which really is terrible security. doesnt work properly when you enter it correctly and can freeze at connecting. i cant log in even though i know the character and reset the PW and still doesnt work. i tried the online contact support but that hasnt replied for days. guild wars 2 is improving the game a lot, but for now, its easy to see why world of warcraft is the best when the competition is this 'mmo' and others. this game is free and has less people playing than a game that requires 15 dollars per month, just something to think about.

Overall Review: i was playing starcraft 2 using this cord from my notebook to my 42 inch tv. it worked for the first day(a couple of hours) and now it does not. i have 2 laptops so i tried them both. the first one simply doesnt even detect a HDMI cord in the port and the second one detects it, but it just displays a grey screen on the tv. pretty much a bad product i believe

Pros: quick if it works i installed starcraft 2and it runs it brilliantly. almost all full settings(high on everything but reflections and one other thing)

Cons: this is my second day of owning the machine and it broke. i had my bluetooth headset, my bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard set up with the notebook, and a few hours later, the bluetooth is totally DEAD. maybe it was my fault or i could fix it. so i restarted the machine. that did nothing. then i tried to reinstall the bluetooth driver. that did nothing BECAUSE it said that the bluetooth device was not found. that means that the bluetooth hardware is totally dead and theres nothing i can do.

Overall Review: i wrote a review for this laptop just 1 day ago but i cannot delete it. i would not recommend a machine that breaks to anyone. fortunately for me, there is a return policy. IT IS POSSIBLE for me to simply get a USB dongle for bluetooth, which i tried and it works, but why would i keep this product that i paid for which does not work? if you do not need bluetooth this laptop may be fine for you but i just ordered 200 dollars worth of bluetooth hardware to go along with it and now its all useless without the dongle(which only works with the keyboard and mouse combo)
