Very pleased with my first Gigabyte board
Pros: Great board and good set of features. I got this board as a combo deal with a Phenom II X4 965. Had no problems getting it up and running after hooking all the cables and installing the memory.
Cons: None yet
Overall Review: This is my first from scratch build in nearly ten years, so I don't have many references to compare with, but Gigabyte seems to offer a good product. By new system so far Rosewill Challenger case GA-880GA-UD3H motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Editon CPU Coolmaster SilentPro 700 watt PSU 4 Gigs of G.Skill DDR3 1600 RAM 1 TB Seagate Baracuda SATA harddrive Still deciding on a decent graphics card, but the intergrated Radeon plays older games like Battlefield 2 well enough.
updated review
Pros: Still good and comfortable headphones
Cons: worthless inline microphone.
Overall Review: I bought these specifically for videogame voice chat. The microphone is simply not sensitive enough and worthless for this task. Buy a boom microphone. The inline approach does not work from an engineering standpoint.
AMD for life
Pros: Replaced a 2600X with very noticeable increase in performance. Highly energy efficient
Cons: none
Overall Review: If you have an older Ryzen you can get a huge boost in gaming performance by upgrading to this chip without needing to buy another motherboard. A cheap and worthwhile upgrade if you are not buying a new system.
Ok entry level into 1440 high refresh
Pros: Mate Black body looks good with most setups Good color performance Sub-$400 Good size for 1440P No problems with high refresh so far.
Cons: Poor finish quality Adjustment button located on the back of the panel not front. Garbage stand (front facing V-stand has large footprint that may interfere with a large mouse pad. Slight dimming near the edge of the screen
Overall Review: I am somewhat satisfied with this monitor. I bought this monitor on sale even though the final price is not what NewEgg tempted me with the initial email they sent me. I give it a 3.5 conditionally with the score trending towards 4.0 if they can reliably get the price $350 or under. I really don't like the base stand. It motivated me to buy a desk arm mount now that I have dual monitor setup. I am enjoying that setup though so some good came of it.
Slightly too long
Pros: Good price, generous number of protector sheets and zero bubbles.
Cons: In general I really like this product. I have a A21 Tracfone that I recently bought. The phone is a fingerprint magnet on all surfaces including the screen. This screen protector improves this problem quite a bit. I did have to cut off between a 1/4" and 1/2" off the bottom edge though. I sacrificed several sheets before I perfected the shape I liked. Use a sharp blade or paper cutter for this. I finished with 45 degree cuts on the bottom corners using scissors.
Overall Review: Product seems decent. Will buy again if needed.
excellent thumbdrive
Pros: I really like the size, finish and shape of this drive. The black metal housing and not overly distracting red activity light makes it good if you are using it in a home theater setup.
Cons: no included lanyard cable. No biggy I since it is going on a keyring anyway.
Overall Review: Ordered on a Monday, arrived Saturday via EggSaver. I Filled up drive with several large video files and the write speed was near 10 MBps.
no complaints
Works as described.
