Very happy so far

SeaSonic G-750 SSR-750RM 750 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
SeaSonic G-750 SSR-750RM 750 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Honestly, the reviews almost scared me away from this PSU. Only time will tell now. A big thank you to the folks in EggXpert that put together the PSU Tier List. After reading that I pulled the trigger on this purchase and even got it on sale. 1) It powered on and has been running nonstop for about 36 hours now. Of course it was powered on and off a few times before I closed the case up. There are traditions and I caught a fan I put in backwards. 2) I had no problem with the cables or connectors. The cables bent where and how I wanted them to. The connectors went on like they were supposed to. Even had to unhook a few and reroute the cables. No problem with either. 3) Yes, if all the cables were sleeved it would have been pretty, but that are black so... 4) I can see where cable length might be an issue in a full tower case like CM's Cosmos. 5) Yes the included screws were silver not black and... they are in the back of my system. They fit and seem to have been made with a decent quality steel. 6) The fan is not a hybrid and is not billed as one. 7) The fan is not loud compared to my case fans. 8) Had to give it some eggs and having no gripes with the cabling, installation or powering up it is a five for now. I'll post again in a year or three after it has had a chance to prove or disprove the important reason I bought it - to power my system. 9) See other thoughts.

Cons: None yet. Only time will tell if it does the most important thing, efficiently power my system(s) for years to come.

Overall Review: Not a con and not sure what caused it. After it had been running in the case for a few hours there was the smell of hot wiring. The system temps were good. The cables were not even warm to the touch. It might have been the new case fan. Just don't know. Bottom line it is still working well. I found EggXpert under forums at the bottom of the NewEgg main page. Go there and check it out before buying this or any other PSU; quantifiable data, test results, no brand biases and some serious discussion all summed up in an extensive easy to use series of lists.

Most Critical Review

Not a fancy mouse, but it works well if your expectations match the price point

Basic Optical Mouse for Business-Black
Basic Optical Mouse for Business-Black

Pros: Price - Bought two and when I run out again I'll buy more again. It is not a race car it is a tractor. Like a tractor it lasts several years before it needs replacement; normally wire related USB connectivity issues. It is a wired mouse. Learn from my fail -- this gets very important on a new build as does it's proven plug and play compatibility for configuring new builds.

Cons: This is not a gaming mouse nor is it a fancy mouse. Then again, if it were I wouldn't have bought more than one.

Overall Review: I use one when I build systems because it plays well with windows. I bought the other because one is starting to get a tad quirky after years of use; hours per day. It is a no frills inexpensive mouse. If you are looking for a gaming mouse; a high DPI mouse; or, a fancy feature rich mouse look elsewhere. But... If you want one that plays well with your new Windows build to plug and play while you configure the OS and whatever else you are installing, this mouse has never failed me while others have. (Perhaps builders configuring a Linux based OS build could add some feedback here?!) If you want to invest in an emergency backup mouse to use until your preferred replacement arrives it will get the job done until your replacement arrives. Then just stuff it back into a drawer until needed again. The negative reviews seem to overlook what this mouse is. It is a cost effective no frills mouse that works when some fancy ones do not. And the price is such, having a spare is a luxury I can afford at this price point. Why only three stars? It is a slightly better than average no frills product and not anything else. This mouse is a dirt plain average, but excels in what it was designed to do, mouse, which is to be a no frills mouse at an attractive price point. If you want something you can afford to stuff in a drawer until you need a working mouse for an emergency backup or for a new windows build then stuff it back in that drawer this is what I use.

How the heck does one evaluate an OS?!

Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Installation / Recovery Disc Only - No License Key Included
Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Installation / Recovery Disc Only - No License Key Included

Pros: It is a DVD with Microsoft's Windows operating system on it. The thumb drive version I bought from Microsoft was borked by MS's tech support's admission. The key is still good. Now I have a new viable OS to fix a system an MS update fouled up beyond repair (FUBARed.) This is supposed to be about the product. New Egg is why I responded here. I received the product ahead of schedule in good condition. It was well packed, not just the thin cardboard mailer normal for such things. New Egg added extra packaging. Unless I cannot get it from New Egg I only buy from New Egg. If something goes wrong they are there which cannot be said for a lot of places PC Part Picker tracks. Try it this way, your dream build goes south because of a faulty component, messed up shipping or whatever. Do you want it fixed or a run around? I've read the negative reviews of New Egg's handling of things. I've been buying parts here for a long time and never had a problem.

Cons: None, I got what I paid for faster than promised and in good condition with extra packaging to make sure it arrived safe.

Overall Review: I do not possess the wit nor wisdom to evaluate the OS I bought. It installed and works. I need this OS for work I bring home. Once again New Egg was better than promised and that is the only reason I inflicted this review upon those that invested their time to read this. Call me a New Egg Fan boy and you would be correct. Yes, it some times costs more than the best price on PC Part Picker. For me, it is what do one does when something goes wrong. Just make sure New Egg is the seller and is the responsible party if something goes South.

"Basic" optical mouse

Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse - Black (P58-00061)
Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse - Black (P58-00061)

Pros: This mouse is not for gaming and was not purchased to be used that way. It is just as described a "Basic" mouse. I've bought these before and they last a while. They are used for: A, a system that is dedicated to browsing and videos; and, B, when I build a system they are recognized without the hassle of having to down load driver. They just work. Bought two to have a back-up. {Edit one reread} If you have ever tried to use a mouse on a new build and it didn't work or required drivers (sort of tough without a working mouse) this is the mouse for you! Learn from my fail.

Cons: As long as you know what you are buying there are no down-checks.

Overall Review: It is what it is; no more or less. If you are looking for a "Basic" optical mouse just buy it. Heck buy two so you have a back-up; I did they last for years of use! It just works and keeps doing so, in my experience for years. If you want something more from your mouse keep shopping as it is not and was never intended for gaming. New Egg shipping beat expectations as I've come to expect over the years. A closing thought but not about the mouse. I've bought from New Egg for a lot of builds. Yes, their price may be beaten. None-the-less, when I buy from New Egg I am buying from a company that will be there when something goes wrong and that is why I, contrary to some posts under other products, am a New Egg fan boy; service after the sale. It only happened once. But, when the poop hit the oscillating air moving device, one phone call and it was made right and it was my fault!

It is an under desk keyboard holder

INLAND 05293 Under Desk Adjustable Keyboard Tray
INLAND 05293 Under Desk Adjustable Keyboard Tray

Pros: 1. There is enough room on the actual keyboard area to put the mouse there also. 2. The mounting plates are heavy gauge steel.

Cons: 1. The plate to hold the keyboard is plastic and the connector points are plastic - do not over tighten. 2. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. 3. I fastened it to a full size table not a desk. It may not be appropriate for a lower placement like under a desk. Be careful.

Overall Review: 1.The down check to four stars are a combination of the keyboard deck being very cheap and the instructions being mildly helpful. 2. The spring that holds the keyboard tray is not strong enough to hold it up. If you need to have it held up to move around this may be a problem. 3. It offers +/- 15 degrees of movement for the keyboard tray. If you are trying to show horn it into a tight space this may be a problem. 4. It works for me and I got what I paid for.

Just bought it Edited 7/9/18 awarding two more eggs

Thermaltake Core X9 Black E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F1WN-00
Thermaltake Core X9 Black E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F1WN-00

Pros: Edited 7/9/18 The features offered provide both expand and upgrade ability. Permit me to be blunt, a case and PSU are one of the few things that are intermediate-term future resistant. Not sure I can put this here, if you want to see what can be done with this case visit the Overclock.Net Thermaltake Core X Case Owners Club: X1, X2, X9, X9 Snow Ed. What is being done with this case is amazing. Two considerations before you buy: 1, It is about four times as big as my full tower ATX case. Without hardware it is heavy. Just make sure you have a place for it because it is that big and with hardware heavy; and, 2, The mobo tray fits in flat not vertical, If you are an air cooler or a water cooler there are a lot of wires with few places to run them without impeding air flow. This means cable management is a challenge. Air or Water cooling options and will fit up to an EATx mobo. Potential for dual PSUs, if the part is ever in stock at the TT site. Edit: FYI, an XL ATX mobo has been reported as to wide for the case. Goint to have to make that second PSU support. If you want to replace the window with tempered glass, effective 7/9/18, the kit is available on their web site. So why only two stars; maybe three? Read on. Edit: awarded two more stars.

Cons: Customer support is worse than Microsoft ever was at it's worst back in the day. I emailed and called. The email responses are a bad joke. The telephone was worse. If this is how they treat other potential and now customers shame on them. If TT deigns to respond with their formulaic response call us at... Don't bother to leave a message as they do not respond. The email responses, which lead to the call were not helpful. All I wanted was a replacement ventilated side panel, extra hardware, and a second PSU internal mount. Edit: not fair to condemn the product for the abysmal customer support, hence the upgrade. The foregoing is why there are only two stars. If it makes it here unscathed in shipping I'll edit and add a star. Edit: it made it here but was delivered to the wrong address. UPS not New Eggs fault. The other person actually delivered it. I am a New Egg fanboy because they are here when something goes wrong unlike TT. Five ventilated replacement black side panels showed up on TT's wed site. I snagged one then came here and bought the case. Point being, getting replacement / additional parts for this case is difficult. Edit: So why not five stars? 1, The manual is very poor i.e. not even a complete parts list. Even their web site does not offer a complete parts list. Rather important as I need another PSU support and would have liked an undamaged window replacement. Email assistance requires a part number. 2, The enclosed hardware was unsecured. It banged around and damaged the window.

Overall Review: Be advised that customer pre-sale support was a cruel joke. Got one helpful response, kind of - sort of, promising to email me when the parts I wanted became available; they did not. I emailed and called and the only positive response was a lie. The product as offered is, in light of the Customer Service and Quality Control issues, seductively appealing as an upgrade path. I bought a ventilated side panel to replace the windowed side panel then bought the case. Just understand despite the formulaic customer service response of please call us at... the evidence is we are and remain on our own with TT customer service. Sort of makes me wonder if TT will be around much longer. Fair-is-fair, There is actually a customer service rep on the OCN site. Their postings are notable by their absence. But! They have responded to PMs and helped; just not for a long time now. I gave up on the three colors for this case. That is why spray paint was made for. I bought it against my better judgement. Just understand this rant and my trepidation's are because of the utter lack of customer support. Cheers and hope you fare better than I with customer support, Don G. This is the last TT product I shall ever buy 12/29/18. The case needed retapping and parts are not available. Customer service is important and completly lacking from TT. Buyer beware!

Not bad, not bad at all

I wanted a plug and play camera that would work with older computers and that is what I got; the product was as described. I must have had a dozen New Egg tabs open when I was shopping. The loss of an egg is because the microphone leaves something to be desired. I had to tweak the settings to make the volume loud enough to be clearly heard. The trade off was my system's fans became audible. I reverted to my head set and the pairing works well. I cannot assess the video quality as my GPU like my system is older. But it sure looks like me and the lens did not crack while recording my face -- so it works, just cannot say how well. I bought it from New Egg. It was as described by New Egg. It was shipped by New Egg. It arrived when New Egg promised, as always. The rest of this is not product specific. It is provided in response to the review tips. Of those open tabs, if sold and shipped by a third party vendor I closed that tab and kept looking. My experience with third party vendors has not been good. About all I will entrust to them anymore is indestructible things like cables I don't need when promised. Customer service was not needed as normal for New Egg. I've only had to use New Egg's customer service twice in a lot of years being their customer. One was because I messed up an order and they made it right (yes that is correct, I messed up and they fixed it.) The other was due to the shipper used by New Egg and not New Egg. If New Egg ever allows their customer service to deteriorate, like a few other companies have, I'll go elsewhere. The standard I compared those "Companies" to is New Egg's. Customer service starts with selling what is being described, protecting it for shipping, delivering the product when they said they would, and helping to fix things when they went wrong. Maybe that is why New Egg is a growing business.

Okay it was acable

It was a cable. It was at the shorter end of the specifications quoted. It is very thin based on my experience with this type of cable. It came with cable end caps protecting each end of the cable. It took a long time to get here; being shipped from mainland China. All things considered it is a less than average cable that works that took a long time to get here. In fairness, I could have paid extra to speed up the shipping but I didn't know where it was coming from until after I bought it. Summary It works. It was less than expected. It took a long time to get here. Newegg normally carries better stuff and a comparable price. It is what it is.
