Best external drive ever

Pros: Superb drive, it's plug and play so no need to install drivers. Excellent form factor, runs cool, silent, and very high capacity. I've bought 5 of these and will likely buy another 8-12 of them. They totally rock. 10000% better than the bad maxtor externals that failed, and it has a 5-year warranty. Everybody needs to own this drive.
Cons: Only minor 'con' is that you have to swap out a small detachable port on the bottom, if you want to go back and forth between USB and firewire. Not a big minus, but it would've been much better to make the drive bottom a bit bigger and include both, without the need to swap out the hardware.
Overall Review: This is the best drive I've bought, of dozens. Highly recommended. I've made my own external drives, which works great, with seagate 500gig IDE/SATA drives, but for the price this is a much better solution. Less than three hundred bucks for a silent 1-Terabyte external drive, is phenomenal. Two thumbs wayy up on this.
Good quality, but poor connection

Pros: Solid sound quality, a bit muddy though.
Cons: Biggest problem is that the volume control knob has a ton of static and the left speaker with it is hard to adjust, fades in and out. Very frustrating. It's like the potentiometer/volume knob has intermittent connection, and there's no fix other than to replace the knob, which I don't want to do. I wanted to like this unit, but problem is, for those of us who always fiddle w/the volume knob, is it doesn't work well.
outstanding laptop w/Win7

Pros: My old HP laptop is great, but too big and heavy. This one is exceptionally well designed, lightweight, fast and sturdy, and has a very sharp and clear display. Got up and running instantly, everything works very well. Keyboard layout and responsiveness is top-notch.
Cons: touchpad works well, not as good as my prior HP laptop though.
Overall Review: Overall I'm extremely happy with this one and would buy another one. The fact that it comes with Win7 installed is a big plus, since win8 is horrible and it's rare to find a new pc with win7 installed out of the box.
excellent drives - have worked well

Pros: I've bought 5 of these and they all work perfectly, as did the earlier ones I've been buying over the years (I do a lot of video editing). Personally I cannot believe the negative reviews of seagate drives here; I think they're probably posted by competitors. I've bought dozens of external drives over the years (maxtor have been the worst), WD are ok, but only seagates have 5-year warranties, which says a lot. Of the 70+ HDs I've bought over the last year, the only seagate failure was an ancient 250Mb one that had been in use for 7 years, all the others have worked fine... including these external ones. Highly recommended; these are the best external 2Tb ones on the market.
Cons: I wish these had USB2 and sata dual-connection like older seagate external drives had, not just usb 2 only. And I don't like that I can't daisy-chain these like the sata-type ones (why don't these have dual USB/Sata?). Works fine as a drive, even with many connected to the same pc, on different USB ports.
Pleasantly surprised - excellent speakers!

Pros: I bought this based on all the positive reviews and am thrilled with it. I used to have Klipsch speakers, but the volume knob gave out in under a year, so I had to get a replacement. These are surprisingly powerful and clear, at such a low price. BEST pc speakers I've bought, even kicks Klipsch speakers in quality and dynamics... nice job!
Cons: Satellites seem a bit small, initially I was concerned, as they're a lot smaller than Klipsch satellites, but they turned out to be fine - very well engineered.
Excellent case, slim and well done

Pros: Excellent construction, easy to assemble, very sleek and well made. Works great, not too hot.
Cons: A bit on the small size, so I worry about heat dissipation.
Overall Review: Overall a very good case, well made, I've owned several.
