Nice Cheap Working Card

SYBA SI-PEX40094 PCI Express Low Profile Ready SATA III 2 Internal 6 Gbps Ports PCI-e Controller Card
SYBA SI-PEX40094 PCI Express Low Profile Ready SATA III 2 Internal 6 Gbps Ports PCI-e Controller Card

Pros: Cost Effective Easy to work with

Cons: Somehow the numbers got reversed on box Label as compared to the website. It doesn't matter because all the products in this line (Chipset) used same driver package.

Overall Review: I bought this a cheap fix for a bad motherboard controller. My SDDs are now running about 15% slower but I had no issues with booting my old windows installation. I dropped the card in and it booted. I installed the drivers after the system was booted. This is branded as IOCrest but the manual indicates it's a Syba Product.

Just Avarage

Minix NEO-X7-216A 1 x HDMI Smart Media Hub
Minix NEO-X7-216A 1 x HDMI Smart Media Hub

Pros: Wifi is strong Comes with 4.2.2 Comes with cables.

Cons: Cost! unless you want the audio outs there's cheaper Quads around. No USB keyboard mapping for some of the "soft" navigation keys. There should have been at least a "open the pop-up window" key.

Overall Review: Not as fast as tegra chips (and not as fast as I expected), I may have been better off with on of those android “gaming” boxes. Adobe flash only runs in their provided browser. Saw some video lag / frame skipping but I haven't done any tweaking. A full SD slot seems to have been an odd choice.

Slightly Disappointed

Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Personally, I like how thin it is. It leaves some room for air flow. Nice and quiet so far.

Cons: I don't see a performance increase on a sata 6.0Gb controller. My tests show only about a 1 MB/sec variation between a 3 & 6. It also seems have a ridiculous speed drop off rate on large writes.

Overall Review: I wouldn't say it's a bad choice but there's better drives out there. This drive is best used for lots of small files. I wouldn't recommend it for things like drive images or virtual disks.

Works

Rosewill RNX-56USB - Modem - Conexant Hardware-Based 56Kbps USB (Plug & Play) V.92 Data / Fax / TAM – Windows 7 Ready

Pros: Seems to work

Cons: No speaker so it's hard to tell how the call is being answered.

Overall Review: I don't have much to compare it too but it seems slow. The vista 64 drivers worked on my win 7 machine. My win 7 32 bit machine picked up the driver automatically.

Works

Rosewill RHB-320 - 7-Port USB 2.0 / 1.1 Hub with Power Adapter
Rosewill RHB-320 - 7-Port USB 2.0 / 1.1 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: It's a hub, it works well. Cords are decent length. The base comes off.

Cons: Non that I can think of.

Overall Review: The metal base seems slightly magnetic ... not sure if it was intentional or not.

Rosewill Multimedia Keyboard - Black, 104 Normal & 12 Function Keys, USB Wired - RK-700M
Rosewill Multimedia Keyboard - Black, 104 Normal & 12 Function Keys, USB Wired - RK-700M

Pros: Price

Cons: It's physically very small. If your used to a full sized keyboard then I'd pass on this one.

Overall Review: I should have looked at the pictures more closely.
