Is it good for gaming on a $5000 PC?

Yes and no.

I bought this keyboard for a PC I was building out of literal spare parts for my wife, since all she uses it for is cruising Facebook and Pinterest or web browsing. It's "good" in that it's a solid and inexpensive keyboard that does exactly what it's supposed to. I wanted a basic, reliable QWERTY keyboard for as cheap as possible and that's what I got. The little time I've spent with it was fine. It's not uncomfortable and it seems responsive enough.

As a gamer myself, though, you'd be perfectly fine to use it for gaming, but we (gamers) can be brutal on keyboards and mice so a $15 keyboard may or may not hold up to the test of time. Depending on the games you play, you may want to step up to something like a Logitech G-Series with auxiliary macro buttons or you may not.

So yes, it will work fine if all you want is a keyboard. There are no extra macro buttons or LCD readout screens or color-changing backlight options, but a lot if that stuff is overrated anyway. For the price, even if you wear it out and replace it in a year, you're still ahead of the game in terms of money spent.
