Best hd4850 for your buck!

Pros: I love this card. The Zalman fan on it is quiet and makes the card run COOL! the standard coolers on these cards have temps going into 90c! idle the card is at around 36c in my system and under full load it doesnt go past 47c. thats half as cool as with a standard cooler! and you cant beat the price! got this at $150 with the rebate. i would rather get this than the sapphire toxic because i have had good experiences with gigabyte customer service before. also this card is 50 bucks cheaper. the build quality of this board is outstanding. never something you would find on a sapphire board. i currently have it overclocked at 700mhz without even adjusting the votages. ive seen people push this card to 800mhz with only the provided zalman cooler! hell if i had the money id get another. this thing is AWESOME. runs crysis at 30fps on highest settings easy and at around 40fps on second highest. all other games ive thrown at it work great at full settings with 4x aa enabled.
Cons: none other than the bundle is kind of lacking. usually cards are now bundled with games or at least demos but this card only comes with a driver cd and a gigabyte tuning utility. the cable and dongle bundle is pretty standard and doesnt really include anything you wouldnt get usually. at least its not missing anything though.
Overall Review: if you are building a new pc get two if not 4 of these bad boys and make sure you get a mobo and psu that can support them! you wont have to worry about upgrading any time soon.

Pros: looks real nice. great design. it is lifted high so it doesnt interfere with cabling or your rams. Its quiet as hell. I have it set at a little less than medium and it is basically silent. It fit nicely in my antec three hundred case. i dunno what the guy was talking about with the antec nine hundred, mine isnt making contact with teh panel at all. dropped my temps down about 11c compared to the stock cooler, thats with a 9950 BE running at 3.0ghz.
Cons: the am2 clip is really hard to put on. it is possible to put it on without taking the mobo out of the case with an am2, its just a really tight squeeze. i had to have my buddy hold down one side of the clamp while i did the other. a random con is that the fan controller didnt really fit in my pci slot very well. its a little wide or something. i had to take the knob off to fit it through the other side of the slot. also the directions were terrible. tiny little pictures that are such a bad resolution that you cant even see whats going on in them. youre better off just looking up tutorials online.
Overall Review: knocked of an egg for the terrible directions and the difficulty of putting on the am2 clip. other than that this baby runs quiet and super cool.

Pros: Awesome design. Plenty of airflow and space. The top and rear fans make little noise when on the lowest setting. i currently have the rear one on medium and the top on low with little volume difference. Cranking the fans to high creates a lot of sound though. Plenty of HDD bays but the top two are blocked if you are using a longer vid card. This was my first build and installation was a snap! Mobo fit perfectly on pegs and everything sat correctly. The extra fan slots are a nice touch too if i ever need to use them. The cable management compartment on the side is really handy and keeps those pesky psu cables out of the way so air can flow freely.
Cons: No floppy disc bay. I know they are kind of obsolete these days but my psu comes with a wattage meter that fits in a floppy bay. But that is a pretty specific circumstance and isnt worthy of knocking an egg off. You can get a converter that transforms the dvd rom bay into a floppy bay on teh antec site if you want though. Case fans dont plug into mobo so you cant monitor or change the speeds but thats ok because the fans come with their own fan control switches. But the switches dangle on long cords and they could easily get caught in a fan if you arent careful.
Overall Review: I am currently packing a Tuniq tower 120 and a HD4850 with 2 hdds in this case. So yeah, it has plenty of room.
